C10 Family Dinner

After some minutes, Dolo went into our room to change his clothes.

I went to the kitchen to get some rice for Dolo. Chira comes into the kitchen and hugs me, she takes my hand off the pot as I am about to open the pot. I looked at her and smiled.

"Chira, I want to get some rice for your Papa." I said and Chira smiled.

"Papa said you shouldn't get him food now." Chira said giggling.

I looked at her to be sure if I heard right.

"Has he eaten outside?" I asked unconsciously.

"No Mama." Chira said bringing me out of my thoughts.

"How do you know?" I asked her.

"Papa said you shouldn't get him food because he is taking us out for lunch." Chira said and I smiled.

Chira and I left the kitchen together then Chira went to her room and I went into my room where I saw Dolo facing the small mirror with a smile on his face. I walked close to him and hugged him from his back.

"I guess Chira told you of my plan to take the family out." Dolo said facing me with my hands wrapped around his waist.

"Yes she told me." I said smiling.

"I think you should get dressed." Dolo said and I took my hands off his waist.

Dolo went out of the room and I walked towards the wardrobe to get a cloth I could wear for an outing. I later chose a fancy dress which is normally worn by the whites.

Minutes later, I could hear Chira talking to her father as they were laughing and talking.

I immediately put on my cloth after freshening up. I looked towards the mirror to adore my beauty as I added a little powder to my face and wore my earring. I pulled out one of my favorite shoe and put it on. I carried one of my fancy bag and left the room.

I could see Dolo eyes looking at me as he didn't listen anymore to what Chira was saying.

Noticing this Chira followed Dolo's eyes to where it was directed to. She opened her mouth as she saw me.

Dolo stood up from where he was sitted and walked towards me.

"You look beautiful." Dolo said to me making me blush.

Chira stood up from where she was sitting and walked to me.

"Mama." She said smiling as she scanned me.

"Okay, let's move." Dolo said after some minutes and the three of us moved out of the house.

Chira continued looking at me as Dolo locked the door of the house.

After some minutes, we all enter Dolo's car.

The car was gifted to Dolo after working two years in the industry for Dolo's dedication.

We all sit in the car while Dolo drives. "Chira would you like to tell us a story?" Dolo asked after some minutes.

"Yes Papa." Chira said answering her father.

"Okay tell us." Dolo said with his eyes fixed to the road.

Dolo POV

Today, I thought of taking my family out. We don't usually go out and we hadn't gone out for a Lunch as I don't have the time.

I heard that taking one's family out for lunch or dinner can improve the relationship with one's family so I decided to take my family out for lunch in a restaurant.

I have decided to take them for a picnic one day but since picnic would determine a lot of arrangements, I chose to first take them for a lunch in a restaurant.

I wanted the journey to be fun so I decided to ask Chira to tell us a story as she usually tell us funny stories at home.

"I would like to name my story The Beautiful girl." Chira said.

"Okay go on." Dinna said.

Chira went ahead with her story.

The story was about a girl who people usually mock calling her beautiful. The girl never looked at herself in the mirror to know the extent of her beauty. The girl grew up with people still mockingly calling her beautiful until one day a woman gave her a mirror to look at herself and she discovered that she is ugly.

She realized that the people she usually called ugly were actually finer than her. She had to apologize to all those she had called ugly before.

"What did you learn from the story?" Chira asked us after making us laugh with all the jokes she made while saying the story.

We said different things we learnt.

We reached the restaurant I wanted us to have our lunch. It was already Four Thirty P.M. The ride to the restaurant was Twenty minutes.

We were directed to an area where we had our seat on the chairs.

A lady came over to take our order. I ordered for wine and some bread cake with three slices of Pizza. Chira smiled immediately she heard me say Bread cake because she loves Bread cake. The Bread cake is usually mixed with Honey and Topped with Salad.

The lady went to bring our order.

Few minutes later, the Lady came to us with the order and I asked for the bill and paid transferring the money to their account.

I gave a plate containing two Bread cake to Chira and another to Dinna. I poured out the wine into three different cups and gave Chira a cup and Dinna another cup.

We ate our Bread cake happily and drank our wine. I later distributed the pizza to them and we started eating the Pizza. Chira ate half of the Pizza and told us that she was okay.

We finished eating, rested a little before heading to the car.

We stood close to the car and Chira hugged me tight.

"Papa, thank you for this treat." Chira said and I smiled.

"More are coming." I said and Chira giggled.

Dinna walked up to me and hugged me after Chira had left me.

"My love, thank you." She said and I smiled.

We entered the car and I drove to a nearby market where I bought some things I think we would be needing at home with the help of my wife.

I placed all the things I bought in the boot of my car then locked the boot.

Dinna and I entered the car and I drove home.
