C12 Peeling the Shaft

"I love you Baby." Mama said.

"I love you too Mama." I said to her.

Papa smiled as Mama and I hugged each other. Papa walked to his room after Mama left hugging me.

Mama followed Papa to the room and I sat on the chair I was sitting on and continued playing my game. I laughed each time I won the game.

Some minutes later, Mama came out of the room and looked at me as I was playing the game. I noticed that someone was looking at me so I lifted up my head to see who was looking at me and I met with Mama eyes. I smiled and Mama responded by smiling.

"Would you like to help me peel off some onions?" Mama asked and I nodded my head to her.

"Alright." Mama said then walked to the kitchen and brought out some onions to the living room and placed them on a table.

Mama pulled the table close to me and I put the video game in it's pack then dropped it on a table. Mama pulled a chair close to me and sat on it then we started peeling off the shaft of each of the onions.

Dinna POV

I sat on a chair with Chira on another chair peeling off the shaft in the onions. The onions was much so I knew it would take time but I didn't want Dolo to come out because I know he's going to help us in peeling off the shafts if he meets us peeling the shafts.

I could see Chira sweating after some hours of we peeling off the shaft.

Dolo has been in the room since having some important call and preparing some documents. Dolo had told me in the room that he is going to be giving me some money next week and I should use the money to buy all what I think people use for picnic as we would be going for a picnic next month. He said he has already planned for the place we would be having our picnic and he is going to send someone to check the area.

I smiled as I remembered everything Dolo had told me.

Chira started sweating as she cleared her face of the sweats that were falling off her face with her napkin.

"I think we should continue this tomorrow." I said and Chira nodded her head.

We usually peel off the shafts of all the onions we buy then picked the amount of onions needed and use it for cooking then preserve the remaining onions for the next time we need them.

I looked at Chira as she dropped the thing she was using to peel the shafts.

"Okay, Mama." Chira said as she stood up.

We packed everything into the kitchen and Chira went to clean the living room after washing her hand.

I walked out off the kitchen some minutes later and met the living room clean. I smiled seeing that Chira had done a good job.

Chira came back to the living room and sat down on a chair. She sniffled then picked up her video game. I could see that Chira was tired so I walked to her and held her to myself.

"Are you hungry?" I asked and she smiled.

"Yes. But I will eat in some hours time." She answered me and I smiled touching her face.

"My lovely Chira." I said still holding her to me.

Chira looked at me and smiled.

The door to my room opened and I saw Dolo come out and stretching his back.

"What happened to my baby?" Dolo asked.

"She is tired." I replied.

Dolo had his sit on a chair then looked at Chira.

"Tired of what?"

"We peeled the onions you bought." I said and Dolo opened his mouth.

"That's much!" He exclaimed. "Why didn't you call me to come help?" He asked.

"You were preparing some documents and receiving some important calls." I said.

"I could have postponed some calls. You should have just called me rather than stressing yourself and Chira out." He said and Chira took off her face from me.

"Papa, your work is important." Chira said to her Dad.

"I still could have postponed some calls because they were not important." Dolo said to Chira.

"Papa." Chira said feigning anger.

I knew that she was feigning the anger because I know Everything of her but Dolo doesn't.

"Okay! Okay!!" Dolo said raising his hands up. " I won't complain about it again."

Chira smiled then ran to hug Dolo.

"Papa." Chira said hugging Dolo.

"Baby." Dolo said as he hugged Chira.

"Mama." Chira called.

"Yes." I answered.

"Come." Chira said.

I went close to them and we hugged as a family.

Dolo POV

We hugged ourselves. I really miss hugging as a family, It feels cool hugging your family member.

"Your Mom will be starting work after your break." I said after our hug and Chira smiled looking at her mom.

"Mama, are you ready?" Chira asked giving a funny face.

"Yes I am." Dinna answered laughing at the face Chira gave.

Chira turned to me.

"Where would Mama be working?" Chira asked. "Would it be in MITE INDUSTRY with you?"

"No." I shooked my head as I replied her.

"Then where?" Chira asked.

"I won't be telling you that." I said and she looked at me.

"Oh." She said looking at me.

"Your Mama will tell you." I said and Chira turned to her mother.

"I can't tell you now." Dinna said to Chira and Chira folded her hands.

"Okay." Chira said.

Dinna and I both laughed.

"Don't worry Chira you would know soon when I start working." Dinna said and Chira nodded her head.

"Okay Mama." Chira said.

"I think I should get our food." Dinna said and Chira stood up to follow her mother.

Dinna turned to me.

"Don't follow us." Dinna said and I nodded my head.

Few minutes later, they come out with rice and beef. We all sat down to eat and ate our food.

We had our night story before retreated to our rooms after clearing up the living room and locking the door.
