C19 . Day at work

I was so happy that my Boss understood me. He sent the ice cream server to bring some ice cream to me in my office after I told him that I had eaten.

After some minutes of resting, I looked at the documents I haven't filled on my desk and picked one of them up.

My phone rang immediately I picked the document and I dropped the document on my table and picked up my phone. I stared into my phone looking at the name of the person calling me. It was my boss. I picked the call after the second ring.

"Hello sir." I said into the phone.

"Good day Dolo, How is your day?" My boss asked.

"Quiet stressful sir." I replied.

"Oh. You would have to bare with us today but hopefully by tomorrow your assistant should be back." My Boss said.

"I hope so sir." I said.

"Okay, I actually called you to remind you about the conference that would be holding tomorrow." My boss said.

"Okay sir." I said.

"I would be sending someone to come help you." My boss said and I sighed.

"Okay sir." I said.

"Come to my office before you leave." My boss said.

"Okay sir." I said.

My Boss ended the call and I thought of the conference that is going to take place tomorrow as I took up the document I kept in my shelf and opened it.

Minutes later I heard a knock on my door.

"You may come in." I said.

A man who usually assists my boss in documentation anytime he is around walked into my office and started helping me with the stamping of the documents.

I was so glad that he was around to help me as that would make my work faster.

We were done with the documentation in an hour time so I separated the original documents from the documents that contained complaints. I thanked the man who helped me in the documentation. I was relieved because some of the documents would be needed in the conference we would be having tomorrow.

We took the documents to my secretary who package them for the next day conference.

I went back into my office and arranged my office before picking up my bag. I went out of the office and locked it.

I went to my boss office and knocked on the door to his office.

"Come in." My Boss said and I entered the office and had my sit on one of the chairs in his office.

My Boss handed me a bottle water.

"Thank you sir." I said collecting the bottle from my Boss hand.

I drank a little water from the bottle then dropped the bottle on the table.

"How are you, Dolo?" My Boss asked me some minutes after.

"I'm fine sir." I said.

"Alright. I am very happy with that." My Boss said.

He handed me a bag and I looked at him.

"That's for you and your family." He said.

"Thank you sir." I said collecting the bag from him.

"We are at the end of the year so I decided to give you something." My boss said as he looked down and brought out a small container and handed it to me.

He looked at me.

"How is little Chira doing?" He asked.

"She is doing great." I replied.

"My daughter really misses her." My Boss said and I smiled.

"Sir, we would visit you before the year runs out." I said and my Boss shooked hand with me before letting me go.

I put the things my Boss gave me into my bag and left for my house.

Dinna POV

I got home early. Today we didn't have much to do. I talked with Sophia today and we got to know more about ourselves. I got to know that Sophia just got married some months back. She also introduced me to some other people. It was fun at work today.

I got home and could hear Chira laughing with Tina as they were talking together in her room.

I slowly walked into Chira's room and she was happy to see me.

"Mama!" Chira said as she ran to hug me.

"Baby." I said as I hugged Chira.

"Mama, how was your day at work today?" Chira asked and I pulled her close to myself.

"It was fine." I said.

Tina greeted me as she went to the kitchen to get some food for me.

"Mama, can you tell me about how your day went?" Chira asked me and I sat her down.

"You want to hear how my day went." I said to Chira who nodded her head smiling.

"Yes Mama." She said and I sat down next to her on the bed.

Chira sat on her bed looking at me.

"Alright." I said as I put my hands together.

I started telling her how my Day went as she smiled.

"Ma, here is your food." Tina said interrupting me as I was talking to Chira.

Chira nodded to me as I took the plate from Tina's hand. I looked into the plate and smiled as I saw noddles.

I have really been craving to have noddles that I decided to take over the evening cooking from Tina and cook some noddles for the family but here I was surprised that Tina made some noddles. I ate the noddles as I felt happy.

Few minutes later, I could hear Dolo's voice.

"Papa, Papa!!" Chira said as she jumped down the bed and ran to the living room.

I covered the noddles and took it to the living room.

I hugged my husband.

"Welcome." I said to Dolo as I hugged him.

He dropped a bag on a chair and sat on another chair. He brought out a little container from his bag and opened it.

He brought out some amount of money and counted them then gave it to me to keep.

"My love, what's wrong?" I asked after taking the money to a safe lock in the room.

"Today was hectic." He said.

"Didn't your assistant come?" I asked him.

"He didn't come as he had some important work to do." Dolo replied me.

Tina went into the kitchen and came out some minutes later with a tray containing two cups of water and a plate of noddles.
