C20 Happy for Chira

She handed me a cup of water and placed the tray on the table near Dolo.

" Thank you." Dolo said as he opened the plate and started eating the noddles.

I uncovered my plate and continued eating my food while Chira and Tina went into Chira's room.

I looked at Dolo as he hurriedly devoured the noddles.

Few minutes later when we were done eating, I looked at Dolo.

"Would you mind going outside so you can take some air before you come back inside to have some rest?" I asked Dolo.

"Alright." Dolo said as he stood up.

Together we went outside in order to cool a bit.

Outside Dolo sat on a chair while I went inside the house to bring out a chair which I placed close to Dolo and sat on it.

"So how did your day go?" Dolo asked me as I sat looking at the sky.

"My Day went nice." I said as I kept looking at the sky.

"Can you narrate how it went?" Dolo asked me and I looked up remembering that I couldn't finish telling Chira how my day went.

"It was nice." I said and started telling him of how the day at work was and everything I did there.

"I need you to be careful around Sophia." My husband said.

"Why?" I asked him.

"I mean for now you have to be careful around Sophia." Dolo said.

I nodded my head.

"You may not understand. This is your second day at work and you said that Sophia is quiet younger than you and she married recently. I need you to be careful." Dolo said and I nodded my head.

"Okay I will." I said and we returned our gaze to the sky.

Few minutes later, Dolo stood up and entered the house. I carried the chair I was sitting on and went into the house with Dolo.

Dolo went into the room and I looked at the wall remembering the surprised I met last night.

I laughed as I sat on a chair.

Few minutes later, Tina walked out of the kitchen dusting her hands and I looked at the bag Dolo left on the chair and went to take it up to the room.

I took the bag into the room and put it by the bed side. I looked at Dolo as he was snored and I pecked his cheek before stepping out of the room.

"Mama, is Papa sleeping?" Chira asked me.

"Yes he is." I said.

"Ohh." Chira said as she looked at me.

"I would be going now ma." Tina said from behind Chira.

She had her bag on.

"Okay." I said.

I went out with Chira accompanying Tina out of the house.

"Bye." Chira said.

We turned and left to go into the house.

"Yippee." Chira said as she jumped up.

I drew Chira close to me as we entered the house and I locked the door.

Few minutes later Dolo came out of the room bringing out the bag which I took inside the room.

"Has Tina gone?" Dolo asked.

"Yes Papa." Chira responded.

Dolo looked up.

"Okay." He said and put the bag in his hand on a chair.

Chira POV

Papa placed the bag he had with him on a chair and walked over to sit on another chair. He told Mama to come close to him while I drew my chair close to Papa.

"Alright." Papa said then took the bag up and unzipped it.

"My Boss said he wants me to give this to my family." Papa said as he brought out what was in the bag.

Papa brought out some tea bags and handed them to Mama.

He brought out some books and handed them to me. He brought out some clothes and took out some that are my size and gave me. He also bought out some lotions.

I clapped my hands immediately Papa emptied the bag.

"You like your gift?" Mama asked me and I nodded my head.

"Yeah I have gotten a gift." I said happily.

Mama smiled as I held the things Papa gave me to myself.

"My Boss asked of you." Papa said pointing to me.

"Okay." I said.

"Zhan asked of you." Papa said and I held my face.

" I miss her so much." I said.

It has been long I have seen Zhan.

Zhan is Papa Boss daughter. She is a cute girl.

"We would be going to their house before the year end." Papa said and I clapped my hands.

"Okay Papa." I said as I kept smiling.

Minutes later, we were all sitting looking at the ceiling.

Mama's phone started ringing and she stood up and went into the room she shared with Papa.

She walked back out with a smile on her face.

"Mama!" I called out as she sat on a chair not knowing that Papa and I were looking at her.

"Oh Baby." Mama said as she was still smiling.

Papa placed his hand around her waist.

"You are happy." Papa said.

Mama nodded her head.

"Yes I am happy." Mama said.

"Why Mama?" I asked.

"You passed the test Chira." Mama said making me laugh.

"What test?" Papa asked.

We had a test in school and the test was going to determine who would move to the next class.

"Test to move to the next class." I said making Papa stand up.

Papa drew me close to himself and gave me a warm hug.

The test was tough.

I was so happy that I passed the test and I smiled as Papa hugged me.

I knew I was going to pass the test but I was happy that the result came out fast.

"I'm so happy for you Chira, you made us proud." Papa said as he hugged me.

"I would make you proud of me anytime Papa." I said to Papa making him laugh.

"My little warrior." Papa said as he placed his hand on my hair.

Mama stood up and we all hugged.

"You made us proud Baby." Mama said as she pecked my head.
