C22 Playing with my friends

"Hello, my little Chira." I heard the caller say and I smiled.

"Oh my. It's you Tina." I said smiling.

"Yes it's me." Tina answered me.

"How are you doing?" I asked Tina.

"I'm doing fine." Tina said.

"How is Your Mama?" I asked Tina.

"My Mama is fine." Tina said.

There was silence for some minutes before Tina spoke up.

"I miss you Baby." Tina said making me smile.

"I miss you too Tina." I said.

Tina had stopped coming to my house a week before the end of the year. She was given some weeks break so that she could spend some time with her family.

"How are you celebrating this New year?" Tina asked me.

"I went with my friend to see Rishita, I played with Balloons. My Mama gave me some buns." I continued telling her of what I had done that morning then I told her about how I spent last night.

"Oh Baby, that is lovely." Tina said.

We spoke about other things and laughed together before ending the call.

I made a sigh as I looked at the phone once again before rushing to give Mama the phone back.

Minutes later I went into Zhan room and saw her laughing with Tima. I went to sit in a corner of the bed while I looked at them.

Some minutes later, I chuckled making them look at me.

Zhan stood up from the bed.

"How long have you been here Chira?" Zhan asked me and I looked at her and smiled.

"Ten minutes ago." I said.

Tima stood up from the bed.

"Wow, so long and we didn't notice." Tima said then walked over to where I was sitting and sat beside me.

I smiled as I hugged Tima.

" Let's play." I said.

Tima looked at me then at Zhan then she laid on the bed.

"I am tired." Tima said.

"I am also tired." Zhan said.

I placed my hands on my head.

"You both want to rest." I said looking at Tima.

"Yes, we would play later." Zhan said and I nodded my head.

"Alright." I said and I left the room so that they could rest.

I went to the living room and went to sit beside Mama who was laughing.

Mama looked at me as I sat beside her.

"Where's Zhan?" Mama asked me.

"She is resting with Tima." I said and Mama nodded her head.

"Okay." Mama said.

I looked outside and saw one of the people who came to visit Zhan father playing the flute.

I smiled as the man kept playing the flute.

"Mama, I want to go out." I said pointing to the man who was playing the flute.

"Alright you can go." Mama said nodding her head as she saw the man that was playing the flute.

"Thank you Mama." I said as I ran out of the house.

"How are you?" The man said as he saw me.

The man touched my face and took a bow. His hand became red because of the red powder which was still on my face.

I took a stool and sat on it as I moved my head to the music he was playing with the flute.

Few minutes later, I heard Tima call my name.

"Chira, where are you?" Tima called out as she walked out to where I was.

"Papa." Tima said as she hugged the man who was playing the flute.

"Tima, where is Zhan?" Her Papa asked her.

"She is inside." Tima said pointing inside as she came to hug me.

"Papa meet Chira my friend. Chira meet my Papa." Tima said and I smiled.

We both went into the house and later went to Zhan room. Zhan jumped down the bed and hugged me.

"Chira here." Zhan said as she handed me a cup.

I collected the cup from Zhan hand then drank what was in the cup. We rested for a while before we started playing again.

We ran around the room as we kept laughing.

"Chira, you are faster than we are." Zhan said while laughing and I raised my hand up to show my strength.

"Chira let's go home." I heard Mama say.

I looked at the time on the wall clock. It was some minutes to Six.

"Oh, I need to go." I said making Tima and Zhan look at me.

Tima gave me an angry look but when she saw that Zhan hugged me, she walked to me and hugged me. She held my hands.

"I would miss you." Tima said holding my hands.

"I would miss you too." I said then turned and left the room to the living room.

Dinna POV

Chira walked out of Zhan room and hugged me.

"We would be taking our leave." Dolo said giving his boss a hand shake.

"Alright." His Boss said.

We took a step out of the house.

"Meet you in school Chira." I heard someone say and Chira looked back and waved Zhan cousin.

"Bye Tima." Chira said then we left the house.

We went to where we packed our car and opened the car.

We got into the car and I could see Chira wave someone so I turned back to see who it was that she was waving at and I saw Zhan cousin.

Minutes after the car zoomed off.

"How was your day, Chira?" I asked Chira.

"It was great Mama." Chira replied me.

"Can you tell us how you enjoyed the day?" Dolo said as he drove the car.

Chira smiled then started telling us how her day went.

We got to our house ten minutes later.

"I'm so happy today, Mama." Chira said as she hugged me.

"My Baby is going to be a year older this year." I said.

"Like always." Dolo said making the both of us laugh.

"A new year, a new year." I said.

"Your brother would be here anytime from now." Dolo said.

"I miss Grandma and Grandpa." Chira said and I walked close to her and hugged her.
