C24 Eating as a family

"Good morning, Grandma." I greeted when I woke up the following morning.

"Good morning." Grandma said as she pulled me close to herself.

I looked around in search of Mama.

"Why are you looking around?" Grandma asked me as she released me from the hug.

"Where is Mama?" I asked looking at Grandma.

"I don't know. I'm just waking up now." Grandma said then stood up from the bed.

"Let's go look for your Mama." Grandma said and we both went out of the room.

When we reach the living room, I saw Grandpa sitted on a chair. I walked close to Grandpa and greeted.

"Good morning Grandpa." I said smiling.

"Good morning Chira." Grandpa said facing me.

I looked around in search of Mama.

Grandma walked up to Grandpa and hugged him.

"Good morning." She greeted.

"Good morning dear." Grandpa said as he hugged Grandma.

I smiled as they hugged each other.

"Where's my son?" Grandma asked.

"He is in the kitchen with his sister." Grandpa said.

"Alright I would go to meet them now." Grandma said.

We turned around to go to the kitchen.

"How are you, Chira?" I heard Papa voice and turned back to see him.

I later looked to the direction of the room and saw Papa coming out.

"I am fine." I said as I went to hug Papa.

"My little Chira." Papa said and carried me up.

"How was your night?" Papa asked as he carried me up.

" It was great." I said smiling.

Papa dropped me down after some minutes.

I turned back to leave to the kitchen.

"Where are you going?" Papa asked me and I looked at him.

"To the kitchen." I said.

Papa nodded his head.

"Okay, you can go." Papa said.

I went into the kitchen where I saw Mama washing the plates with her brother.

"Good morning Mama." I said as I stretched out my hand.

"Good morning Baby." Mama said as she looked at me.

"Good morning." Mama brother said looking at me.

I looked at him and smiled. I went to hug him. He carried me up then dropped me down.

"Good morning Mom." He greeted Grandma.

"Good morning, how was your night?" Grandma asked.

"It was fine." He said.

Mama left what she was doing and came to hug Grandma.

"Anamika!." Grandma said. "How are you?"

"I'm fine Mom." Mama said replying Grandma.

I looked around.

"What can I help you do Mama?" I asked looking at Mama.

"Nothing Baby." Mama said as she looked at me.

"I want to do something, Mama." I said stamping my feet on the ground.

Grandma looked at me and folded her hands.

"Be gentle Baby. You can see there is nothing to do." Grandma said and I walked out of the kitchen angrily.

Mama brother ran after me and caught me by my hand. I looked back and faced him.

"Would you help me?" He asked me and I nodded my head.

We both went into the kitchen.

Mama looked at me and stopped what she was doing.

"I'm sorry, Baby. This are the things left and I am doing it with my brother." Mama said looking at me.

"She's going to help me in my washing." Mama brother said and I smiled looking at Mama.

"Okay." I said as I looked at Grandma who was cooking.

I started helping Mama brother to wash.

Minutes later, we were done washing the plates as we sat down on stools looking at Grandma as she cooked.

Grandma finished adding all the assortments she needed to add as she closed the pot to allow the food steam before she put the pot in another place.

After some minutes we all went to the living room and took our sit on different chairs.

Dinna POV

We all sat in the living room as we stared into empty space.

I later stood up to go into the room in order to go and bath.

"Mama, where are you going?" Chira asked.

"To the room." I said and Chira nodded her head to me.

I went into the room and took off my clothes then wrapped myself with a towel then I entered the place we usually have our bath and had my bath.

I got out of the place immediately after having my bath and wrapped my towel around me then I went back to the room in order to wear a more comfortable cloth.

I wore a cloth and went out of the room and had my sit on a chair. I looked around and couldn't find Chira.

"Where is Chira?" I asked.

"She has gone to have her bath." Dolo answered me.

"Okay." I said then stood up.

I went into the kitchen and brought out some Pancakes which I placed on the table.

"Can we all wait for Chira?" My brother said and I looked at him.

"Why did you ask that we wait for her?" I asked.

"I just want her to be here so that we can eat as a family." My brother said and I nodded my head smiling.

"Alright." I said as I went to sit down.

We waited for a few minutes before Chira came out.

"Chira come have your sit." My brother said pointing to an empty chair beside him.

Chira hopped as she came to have her sit.

"Let's eat." My brother said pointing to the Pancake.

"Pancake!" Chira said smiling as she looked at the Pancakes.

I separated six plates from themselves as I kept Five Pancakes on each plates and distributed them.

After distributing the Pancakes, I served tea in a bowl and distributed the cups to everyone.

We all ate our pancakes and drank tea using the cups that were with us.

"I am okay." Chira said rubbing her stomach.

"How many cups of tea did you have, Baby?" My mom asked Chira.

"One cup." Chira said as she stood up.

"Okay Baby." My mom said as Chira smiled.

My mom looked at Chira again.

"Do you want more tea?" My mom asked Chira.

"No Grandma, I am okay with what I have had. I would be eating my food later in the day." Chira said and we all looked at her.
