C25 Family Gathering

"Okay Baby, what would you like to do now?" I asked.

"I would like to rest first." Chira said.

"That's nice." My father said.

Chira looked at him and smiled.

"Grandpa." Chira said.

Chira went into her room and brought out her favorite game.

She came out to the living room and started playing the game as she sat beside my brother.

"That's my Baby." My brother said as he looked at how Chira was playing the game.

Chira looked at my brother and smiled.

"Thank you for giving me this game." She said smiling to my brother.

"You are welcome Baby." My brother said.

Chira looked up and pointed to the ceiling.

"I'm not a Baby." She said in a way that made us laugh.

"Okay my warrior." My father said laughing.

Chira smiled and looked at my father.

"Grandpa, I would be a great warrior." Chira said and we all nodded our head.

"My little Chira." My husband said smiling.

"Yes Papa." Chira said laughing.

We went out of the house some minutes later in order to get some fresh air taking some chairs out with us.

"Okay, Who is going to tell us a story?" I asked and we all looked at Chira.

Chira smiled as she looked at us.

"I don't have any story." Chira said smiling.

"No Baby you have a story." My father said and Chira laughed.

"I don't have a story." Chira said.

"Do it for Grandma and Grandpa who would be going home this night." My mom said and Chira smiled.

"Alright, I would tell you all my story later." Chira said.

"But when would that be?" My mom asked Chira.

"After uncle says his story." She said pointing to my brother .

My brother looked at Chira.

"I don't have a story." My brother said.

"Then I won't tell any story." Chira said making my brother open his mouth.

"But I have some preparations I am on." My brother said looking for a suitable excuse to make.

Chira clapped her hand.

"That's why I want you to tell us a story." Chira said smiling.

"Okay." My brother said lifting up his hands in a way to show defeat.

Chira whispered something into my mom's ear and she smiled.

"I have a story to tell." My brother said as we all listened.

My mom smiled and clapped her hands.

"Tell us about how you met Ju." My mom said clapping her hands and my brother looked at her.

My brother, Yichen, put his hands on his head.

"Alright you want to know how I met Ju?" My brother asked.

My brother was planning his engagement to Ju. He had Introduced Ju to us five months ago as his new found love but my Mom said that Ju usually comes to visit them in the house.

"Uncle Yichen, tell us how you meant Ju?" Chira said laughing.

"Is that the story you want to hear?" My brother asked and Chira nodded her head.

"Okay I will tell you." My brother said then sniffled.

"I met Ju at the beginning of last two year. She was a beautiful girl. I love her smile and everything about her. She gave me Joy everywhere I saw her. I went to inquire of her from the god and the god gave me a go ahead.

I was so happy.

When I was about to leave the temple, I met Ju again." My brother said.

My brother went ahead to tell us of how he waited to see Ju Everytime. He went ahead to tell us how he became her friend and then how he proposed her and how she kept him waiting till two months later. She gave him a yes as her answer and he was so happy.

We all clapped as he completed his story.

"Over to you, Chira. I have told you my story." My brother said as Chira smiled.

"I don't have much to say." Chira said as she touched her face.

"I would like to congratulate you Uncle Yichen." Chira said.

"Thank you Chira." Yichen said.

Chira POV

After Uncle Yichen thanked me, I looked up the tree that was in the house and saw a snake on top. I looked at Uncle Yichen and smiled. He was sitting close to the tree so I didn't want him to be frightened.

"I think we should all go into the house." I said.

"Why Chira?" Papa asked me and I screamed.

They all came running to my side.

"What happened Chira?" Mama asked me as she held my hand.

"Nothing Mama." I said then hugged Uncle Yichen.

"What's wrong, Chira?" Uncle Yichen asked me.

I pointed up the tree and Uncle Yichen saw the snake as it was coming down from the tree.

Uncle Yichen moved back.

"No body should make a sound." I said as I stood up from my chair.

"Baby, where are you going?" Mama asked.

"Don't worry." I said.

"You should all take in all the chairs apart from that." I said pointing to the chair Mama brother sat on.

They carried all chairs in then Mama came out to meet me.

"Baby." Mama said and I turned to her and smiled seeing her stretch her hand to me.

"Stand there." I said pointing to Mama.

"What do you want to do?" Papa asked me.

"Don't worry." I said.

Mama held into Papa's shirt as the snake moved closer to me.

"Chira!!!" I could hear Mama cry.

I could also hear Grandma sobbing.

When the snake became some distance close to me, I distracted it and ran to it back where I held it tail.

I raised the snake tail up and swung it up in the air until I heard cracking of bone. I continued swinging the snake until I was satisfied.

After some minutes when I felt relief, I left the snake and took out a stick we usually keep at the back of the tree and hit it on the snake back severally then on it head.

I walked to meet my family and Mama held me tight to herself.
