C26 Being with my family

"My little Chira." Mama said as she pulled me close to herself.

"Mama." I said as I hugged Mama.

"A second." I said taking my hands off Mama.

I walked into the house and washed my hands before returning to my family.

Grandma placed her hand on my hair and I hugged her.

"My little Chira. I thought something bad would happen to you." Grandma said as she sniffled.

"Nothing would happen to me, Grandma." I said as I wiped off the tears that were forcing their ways down Grandma face.

Papa stretched his hand to me and hugged me.

"You are still my Baby." Papa said giving me a slight peck.

Uncle Yichen came and pulled me into his arm.

"Baby, my darling Baby." He said as he used his hands to rub my hair.

I looked at the ground. I couldn't find the snake where I left it.

"Uncle Yichen, did you dispose the snake?" I asked.

"Yes Baby." Uncle Yichen said.

"Where did you dispose it and how?" I asked.

" I put it in a nylon and went to the nearby river to dispose it." Uncle Yichen said.

"Okay." I said nodding my head.

We all walked into the house after some minutes.

"Chira, where did you get that strength from?" Grandma asked me.

"I got it from being myself." I said.

"That's nice, Chira but do not scare us like that again." Papa said.

"Did I scare you?" I asked Papa.

Papa looked at me.

"I didn't scare you Papa but I saved all of you from the snake." I said.

"We were worried about you." Grandpa said.

"But I told you not to worry about me." I said.

"Yes you told us not to worry but you are still our Baby." Uncle Yichen said.

"Okay. I would be careful when next I want to do a thing like that." I said.

"Okay Baby." Uncle Yichen said as he stretched his hands wide for me and I went to hug him.

Papa rubbed my hair while I hugged Uncle Yichen.

"Do you know where and why the snake came?" Uncle Yichen asked and we all looked at him.

Uncle Yichen could inquire from the spirit so I knew that he had already inquired of the spirit about the snake.

"No." I answered.

"I would come in soon." Uncle Yichen said then went to bring the chair he sat on outside and I sprayed some water on the chair and allowed it to dry and left it by the side of the living room.

"Let's take our sit." Uncle Yichen said as we all sat on different chairs in the living room.

Uncle Yichen cleared his throat while he sat on a chair. He looked at us.

"The snake came from a river and it came to attack a member of the family so that it could place an evil mark on Chira." Uncle Yichen said.

"I am glad, it didn't hurt you Uncle." I said.

"I am also happy it didn't hurt anyone of us in this family." Uncle Yichen said then looked back.

"You have to be careful Chira." Uncle Yichen said and I nodded my head.

Uncle Yichen continued, "The evil ones would try to get you but it is left for you to stand firm."

"Okay Uncle." I said.

"Do you promise you would stand firm till the end?" Uncle Yichen asked me.

"Yes Uncle." I said nodding my head.

"That's my little Chira." Grandma and Grandpa said making me smile.

"Alright." Uncle Yichen said smiling.

Dolo POV

I looked at Chira. I was worried. What if we die leaving her alone in this wicked world. I pray she won't fail the god. I pray she would live to fulfill her destiny. I pray that the god take care of her.

I looked as I saw my family playing.

I smiled. I was very happy.

"Papa won't you say anything?" Chira said interrupting my thoughts.

"On what, Baby?" I asked.

Chira started laughing and I looked at her and I adored the way she laughed.

"Papa, were you thinking?" Chira asked and I nodded my head.

" Okay Papa." Chira said as she hugged me and left to meet Yichen.

"Yichen, that was very nice of you." My wife said laughing and I looked at her wondering what Yichen said or did.

Chira ran into her room and brought a paper which she handed to Yichen.

"This is Unbelievable." Yichen said as he threw the paper up and caught it with one finger on his right hand.

He later wrote a thing on the paper and handed it to Chira after folding it.

Chira opened the paper and then smiled.

"Mama, I want to eat." Chira said in a way that made us laugh.

"Okay." Dinna said and laughed.

I looked at Chira then Chira pointed to me and handed Yichen a paper. Yichen threw the paper up closing his eyes then pointed to me.

He caught the paper with one finger in his right hand and smiled.

I didn't know what they were doing but I also smiled.

He scribbled some words on the paper and folded it then told Chira to hand it to me.

I opened the paper after Chira gave it to me and saw what I was thinking about and I laughed.

"That's all for today?" Yichen said.

I stood up and shooked Yichen's hand and he smiled.

Dinna stood up and went into the kitchen. Chira also stood up and followed Dinna.

Chira and Dinna later came out. Chira carried a small tray containing cups and a water bottle while Dinna carried a tray containing plates of rice.

They put the two trays on the table and distributed the plates containing rice to us.

Dinna later filled each cups with the water from the bottle and placed each cups beside us then she and Chira picked their plates and put their cups containing water beside themselves and sat on the chairs they wanted to sit on.

We all ate our food and drank the water we had in our front.
