C28 Family departure

Some hours time, it was already evening and I had to bade Uncle Yichen and my Grandparents goodnight. I went out of the house and looked up to the sky. Later I went into the house.

"Baby, why did you leave the house?." Mama asked me.

"I went to look at the sky." I said to Mama.

"Okay Baby, come here and have some cake and Chicken we would be having that this evening." Mama said and I looked at her.

"When would they leave?" I asked Mama.

"They would be leaving after eating the delicacy I made." Mama said and I nodded my head.

"Okay Mama." I said then went to sit on a chair in the living room.

Minutes later, Uncle Yichen came out to join us in the living room and we all ate our cake and Chickens.

We all ate our cake and Chickens silently.

When we were done eating our meal, I carried the plates into the kitchen and came back to the living room.

Uncle Yichen, Grandma and Grandpa all sat down resting. They had their luggages with them as they would be leaving the house soon.

Few minutes later, they stood up.

"We would like to leave now." Grandpa said as he stood up.

Mama and Papa stood up to accompany them out. I also stood up to follow them out of the house.

When we got out of the house, Grandpa turned to Papa to thank him.

"My son, thank you for taking care of my daughter." Grandpa said and Mama smiled as Papa nodded his head.

Grandpa later turned to leave and I ran to their front.

"I would miss you, Uncle Yichen." I said as I hugged Uncle Yichen.

"I would miss you Grandma." I said as I left Uncle Yichen to hug Grandma.

"I would miss you Grandpa." I said as I moved to hug Grandpa.

"We would miss you Baby." Grandpa said as he hugged me.

After some minutes, Grandpa, Grandma and Uncle Yichen left.

Papa hugged me and we went back to the house.

Minutes after we all went into the house and I took my sit on a chair.

Mama walked close to me and held me close to herself.

"Why do you look sad?" Mama asked me.

"I miss Uncle Yichen." I said.

"Don't worry. You would meet them soon." Mama said smiling to me.

"When would that be?" I asked Mama.

"Very soon." Mama said.

"How sure are you?" I asked.

"Very sure." Mama said.

I looked up trying not to feel sad.

"My brother would be getting engaged soon." Mama said making me smile.

"Wow, I would see Uncle Yichen and Auntie Ju." I said smiling.

"Yes." Mama said.

"Yippee." I said as I put my hands up.

"We would go to see them before the engagement." Papa said.

I clapped my hands as I was happy.

"After their marriage, they would give me a cousin like Zhan and Tima." I said.

"You want to get a cousin." Papa said laughing.

"Yes." I said.

"You would be much older than your cousin." Papa said and I nodded my head.

"I would be eight or nine years older than my cousin." I said.

Mama nodded her head.

"I would take good care of my cousin." I said moving my head.

"My little Chira." Mama said as she looked at me.

I smiled as I imagined how I would play with my little cousin.

Dinna POV

I watched Chira smile.

"Chira, would you like to go sleep now?" I asked her.

"Yes Mama." Chira said.

"You can go to your room." I said to her and she got up from the chair and went off to her room.

Minutes after Chira had gone to her room, I faced Dolo.

"I want to talk to you on something." I said.

"What do you want to talk to me about?" Dolo asked.

"I just want to talk to you about what my father said." I said.

"What is wrong about what your father said?" He asked me.

"Nothing is wrong. But I think we should take this in a wise manner. I won't want anything to affect my Chira's Destiny. I really believe that the enemy would want to harm her when she is still young so that they can destroy her destiny." I said to him.

"You really have a point there and I am thinking of people I can place or tell to monitor her every movement at her school and the friends she keeps." Dolo said and I nodded my head.

"We still have two weeks to prepare." I said.

"Yes and I want us to make the right decision." Dolo said.

"Okay." I said as I walked to his back and hugged him.

" I think we should get going into our room to take our night rest." Dolo said and he stood up from the chair he was sitting on.

I nodded my head and smiled.

"Okay." I said.

We both went into the room and I wrapped my hands round Dolo's waist.

He turned back to look at me and smiled. He held my hand and pecked it.

"I love you Dear." I said.

"I love you too." He said and we kissed.

Minutes later, I went to freshen up then put on a night wear. I kept the dress I wore during the day in a laundry basket then went to the bed to sleep.

I closed my eyes thinking of all that happened during the day and smiled.

I remembered the incident of the snake and how Chira killed it then how my brother said that the snake came to attack so that it could put a scare on Chira's life in order to affect her Destiny.

I looked up and prayed to the god to protect my Chira. I bowed my head down raising my hands up as I thanked the god for answering my prayer.

I looked at Dolo as he snored while sleeping and I smiled.

I laid my back on the bed and closed my eyes again before drifting off to sleep.
