C3 Accepting the offer

Dinna POV

The following week, we had already packed out of the house to Chitintaga area and we were given two bedroom apartments to stay in. It was given to us by MITE DAILY industry where my husband got his current job. My husband is a graduate.

Chira no longer cried like before, I think she likes the new area.

Dolo POV

I entered the industry and looked up. I stepped on the lift that would take me to the floor my department is.

I got to my department floor and signed in.

I immediately went into my designated office to rest before going into the production room to take and give orders and also to produce.

I laid my head on my desk to rest for some minutes. Then I heard a knock on the door to my office.

I opened the door and looked up to see who it is. It was the head officer of my department standing in front of me.

"Good morning sir." I greeted welcoming him in.

He stepped into my office.

"Good morning." He replied my greeting looking around.

He dipped his hands into his bag and said, "I have something for you."

He gave me an envelope.

He dipped his hands again into his bag.

"Also give this to little Chira." He said handling me a box which I collected smiling then he left.

TWO YEARS LATER,

..........

"Chira!, Chira!" I called Chira.

She came out with her mouth full of oil. She looked at me then hugged me.

Chira held my hand and pulled me to the kitchen where her mother was.

Chira didn't like me going to work without having my breakfast.

Dinna POV

I started laughing as I saw Chira feed her father.

Noticing me, Chira pulled me to the table and started feeding both of us.

We heard a knock on the door and Chira pointed us to sit down. She ran to the door and opened it.

Someone came in carrying Chira.

It was my brother who came to the house with my parent.

They sat on a chair and then Chira got down from my brother. She came to meet me and Dolo but saw that we had already finished the food.

She clapped for us then hugged the both of us.

Dolo stood up and greeted my Parent and my Brother before leaving for work.

Chira ran to my mother and sat on her lap while I made porridge for them.

When the porridge was done, I brought it out.

Chira got down from my mother's lap and ran to bring a hand wooden fan which she used to cool the three plates of porridge.

Chira kept using the fan to cool their food.

After some minutes of cooling their food Chira put the fan down.

"My baby." I said clapping for Chira who smiled then made a gesture to her grandparent to start eating.

My brother kept looking at Chira.

"Chira, what should I get for you on my next visit?" My brother asked Chira.

Chira kept smiling.

My brother brought out his phone and showed her a teddy bear. Chira shooked her head.

She went to my brother who carried her to sit on his lap.

She took the phone from his hands and started scrolling through the pictures in the phone.

She got to a picture and smiled, "This." She said in her baby voice pointing to a picture.

My brother looked at the picture and laughed.

"A warrior indeed you are." He said.

Chira made a sound of joy clapping her hands.

She looked at me and said, "Mama" motioning that I come to her.

I came to her and she whispered into my ear.

"Mama, am I really a warrior." She whispered smiling.

I nodded my head to her and she gave a scream and then laughed.

She pointed to an image on my brother's phone.

"I like this." She said pointing to a picture of a toy gun.

"You are really a warrior my dear." I said making her laugh more.

She got down my brother's leg and motioned to him to eat the porridge before it gets cold.

I smiled looking at her.

She looked at me and ran towards me pushing me back which made me laugh harder.

Dolo POV

I sat in my office remembering all that happened in the morning.

Suddenly I remembered how Chira pulled me to the kitchen to eat. I laughed remembering it.

"My female warrior." I said laughing.

I rested a bit before going into the production room to produce some flakes.

Getting to the production room, I felt so relax. I looked up and went to wash my hands before joining them in production the flakes.

I rubbed some powder on my hand then poured a milk into a container, added a little flour and water with the remaining ingredients.

I did it repeated putting each of them into a machine.

I did it continuously.

At the end of the day, I was called by the head of my department who gave me a letter.

"Congratulations Dolo." He said and I bowed my head.

He lifted up his eyes to look at me.

"Before you open it, I would want you to go to the Boss." He said to me.

I bowed my head and excused myself before leaving for the Boss office.

I got to the Boss office and knocked.

"Come in Dolo." The Boss said.

I slightly looked in wondering how he knew I was there.

He smiled at me.

"Have your sit." He said pointing to a chair in front of me.

He looked at me taking off his eye glass.

"Your productivity in this organization during this few weeks you join us has been good so I had told your department head to give you this token as a form of appreciation." He paused staring at me.

"Thank you very much Dolo for putting in your effort. We haven't had as much as we have now for the past four years." The Boss said.

"It's a pleasure to work here sir." I said.

The Boss smiled looking at me.

"Okay, take good care of yourself and your family." He said.

"Okay sir. Thank you." I said and he dismissed me smiling.

I walked out of the industry with joy and went to my house.
