C6 Does my body affect you?

Abbigayle's POV

Klaress and I always make sure that we pass our papers on time. It has been a roller coaster ride since our first day of school up until now. Our exams are fast approaching and so we need to study really hard for it.

“I really want us to study together Ab.” She said.

“Well, we can study in the library right now.” I said.

“That’s only two hours right before the library closes. We can’t finish studying in two hours. The exam’s coverage is just too long.” She said.

“So? What do you suggest we do?” I said.

“Well, we can study at our house. In that way, we can study for as long as we like.” She said. “Or if you like we can do it at your apartment.”

“Let’s just do it at your house so you’ll be more comfortable.” I said.

“Really? Are you sure? Or you just wanted to see my brother?” she said.

“What? Of course not!” I said sounding so defensive.

“Okay. If you say so.” She said as if teasing me.

“What? Are we gonna do this or not?” I said.

“Alright, alright. There’s no need to be mad. I’m just messing with you.” She said.

“Whatever Klar let’s just go.” I said.

“You sound so defensive.” She said while laughing.

“No, I’m not. I’m just telling the truth.” I said.

“Well, we’ll never know.” She said while laughing as we walked towards the gate.

We arrived at their house and we were greeted by their housemaids who were ready to assist Klaress in whatever she might need.

“Can you please bring us some snacks? We’ll be at the poolside.” She ordered one of their maids.

“Yes ma’am.” She said as she walked to the kitchen. Gosh! How comfortable are the lives of rich people?

“Do you want anything else Ab?” she asked me. “I can ask them to cook something for you.”

“No, I’m good.” I said.

Our juices arrived and we were sitting at the table where we had our lunch last time. I was sipping on my juice when I saw Ethan in his boxers walking towards us. What the hell! He is even more handsome in his boxers than in his usual wear. I choked on the juice I was drinking because of the scandalous posture of this guy. Holy shit!

“Hey, are you okay?” he said as he was holding my back up and down as if easing me from the choking.

“I’m fine.” I said as I moved my back from his touch.

“Does my body affect you that much?” he asked. “Do you want me to change?”

“What? Of course not! It’s just that the juice is too sweet, that’s why.” I said as an excuse.

“Sweet? Let me taste it.” He said as he took my glass and drank from it.

“What are you doing? That’s mine.” I said.

“Yeah, it’s really sweet.” He said while looking at my lips.

“Excuse me?” Klaress said. “Are we good here?”

“Yes, lil sis. Everything’s under control. Right, Gayle?” He said and he even laughed a bit.

“Right,” I said as I turned to Klaress. “You know what? Why don’t we just start studying?”

“We better. Let’s go.” She said as she stood up and walked towards her room.

I was about to follow her when I heard Ethan’s words.

“Study well and don’t think too much of me.” He said and winked at me.

“Why would I think of you?” I said.

“Aren’t you thinking of me now and then?” He answered.

“I'm not," I said. “I have no reason for that.”

“Same as why you didn’t return my message? Because you have no reason to do that?” He said.

“What do you mean?” I said.

“Nothing. Just forget it.” He said as he jumped to the pool.

I don’t understand him. What does he mean by that? Was he waiting for my text messages? That’s impossible. He wouldn’t do that. I just ignored him and went to Klaress’s room. I need to clear my mind and focus on my upcoming exams. That’s what I am here for anyway.

Ethan’s POV

I was busy doing my workouts when I heard Abby and Klaress’s voice. I went out of the gym’s balcony and saw them at the poolside. They were having fun while eating their snacks. I decided to join them but I didn’t bother to dress up since I also want to have a dip in the pool. I was watching Abby as she talks and I can’t help but notice how attractive she is. Oh my GOD! Did I just think of that? I’ve been thinking too much of this girl since the first time I met her. I cannot even sleep the night after our dinner because I waited for her reply which never came. I must admit, I am attracted to her. I like her and her simplicity.

I saw how her eyes widened when she saw me walking towards them wearing only my gym shorts. Yes, you should be affected that’s what you get for keeping me awake at night. I almost laughed when she choked on the juice she was drinking. This girl is so raw and has no pretensions at all. However, it still ended up on her throwing daggers at me. I jumped to the pool and she left to go to Klaress’s room. This girl is just so hard to read. How can she act like she hates me and adores me at the same time? This is so frustrating. I’ll just go with the flow then maybe this attraction towards her will eventually pass seeing that she is way younger than I am and for Christ’s sake she’s my little sister’s friend.

It was almost an hour after that I decided to stop swimming as the sun is burning hot on this very fine day. I went out of the pool and took my towel. I went to the kitchen and looked for something to drink. I got some beer on the fridge and was about to go to my room when I heard someone screaming from the stairs. I immediately ran towards the place where the shout came from and saw Abby on the floor while holding her right foot. I quickly went near her and held her upper body upwards.

"What happened? Are you alright?" I said, worried was laced in my voice.

"It hurts." She cried in pain. " I was about to get some water when I slid and was outbalanced that's why I fell to the floor."

"I'll carry you to my room," I said without thinking straight as I was panicking.

"Whaaat? You pervert!" She shouted and it almost broke my eardrums. I saw her ran her eyes through my body. I almost forgot that I was just wearing a towel. Maybe that's why she thinks I'm a pervert when in fact I was just worried about her.

"What I mean is that I have a first aid kit in my room," I said. "We can apply a hot compress on your feet so it won't hurt that much."

"Alright. I don't wanna do this but I don't want to bother Klaress either. She's still reviewing." She said.

"Okay, fine let's go. Can you walk?" I said. "No, I'll just carry you."

"Of course I can walk. There's no need to carry me." She said.

I helped her to stand up and saw that she was still in pain. She tried walking but she yelps in pain in her first step.

"That's it, I'm carrying you," I said and I scooped her right into my arms. "Hold tight." Surprisingly, she didn't protest or say anything. It must really hurt.

Abbigayle's POV

Ethan carried me upstairs in a bridal style position. I can't help but take a closer look at him as he was too focused on his steps in the stairs. He's handsome yeah but there's something more to just being handsome. he's also very caring. I couldn't stare at him longer because he might catch me so I decided to close my eyes and inhale his scent. He's wearing nothing but a towel so I can feel his skin rubbing onto my arm. He just got out of the pool yet he smells so good. I leaned my head closer to his chest as I was getting addicted to his natural scent.

He put me down as he opened the door to his room.

"Don't move" He said as he opened the door wider. He then scooped me back and put me on his bed.

"I'll just change first and then I'll get the first aid kit. Just lie down or do whatever you are comfortable with. You can use my pillows, do you want me to help you lay down?" He said.

"No, I'm good here," I said and looked away because I couldn't stare at him when he only has a towel on.

"Alright, this will be quick." He said.

While he was changing I took a look at his room. It's your typical manly room with gray paints on the wall and very few decorations. His bed is large and he has white sheets on, nothing stylist just as expected from a guy's room. After a few minutes, Ethan came out of his closet and went to the bathroom. He then came out with a first aid kit in his hands.

"Okay, let's see your foot." He said as he crouched to level my foot.

"Ouch, it still hurts so much," I said when the pain was unbearable with his touch.

"We'll put a hot compress on that. Why don't you lie down instead?" He said and he helped me position myself in his bed. "There, better?" He said and I nodded. Indeed, it is way better than sitting down. "I'll just ask a maid to bring in some hot water."

He went out and after a few minutes, he came back with the hot water. He then took a hand towel from his closet and started putting hot water on it and placed it on my injured foot.

"Just tell me if it's too hot." He said.

It feels good actually. It doesn't hurt and it feels even great when the hand towel is hotter. I feel relaxed and comfortable with what he was doing.

Ethan's POV

I looked at Abby's peaceful face while sleeping. Damn it, even when she's asleep she still looks so gorgeous. How is that possible?

I left her there and went to Klaress's room.

"Hey, are you done?" I said when I opened the door after knocking.

"Yes, I am. Why?" She said.

"Abby slipped and fell on the stairs," I said. "Don't worry she's fine nothing too serious I guess, but she still has to get it checked."

"What? Where is she?" She asked.

"She's in my room," I said. Her eyes grew wide and then looked at me.

"What is she doing in your room?" She said.

"She fell asleep when I applied a hot compress to her injury," I said. "You're so dirty-minded lil sis."

"Your words sounded dirty." She said. "Is she really fine?"

"She is for now but I want to be sure so I called Dr. Hernandez and asked him to come over," I said. "He's on his way."

"That's a relief." She said. "I'll just wake her up when Doc arrives."

"Alright," I said and went to the kitchen. What happened made me wanna drink some beers as what i was about to do before I heard Abby screaming in pain.
