“Can I get coffee with some strawberry flavored cupcake". Alexis ordered. “Miss how do you like your coffee". “With milk and 2 tsp of sugar, thank you".Alexis replied.

“Here you go". “Thank you". While Alexis sipped her coffee, she had a call.

“Hey Kayla".

“Alexis, how is everything at your side"

“To what do I owe this pleasure"

“You hardly call me these days, I'm I still your bestie. You've broken my heart"

“Kayla I've been a little busy but I promise to make it up to you"

“Alright take care, love you babes. But don't forget I will be having my wedding this weekend and you are my bridesmaid"

“Am I even your bestie?.Why are you telling me this now"

“I told you at the birthday party we met or you forgot".

“I don't remember actually"

“We will be going for shopping tomorrow, don't be late.Bye"

“Bye"

Alexis hanged the call and smiled to herself.

After paying the waitress, she took off to a nearby grocery store to purchase some groceries. After paying, she exited the shop and took of home since it's already late.

Upon reaching home, she started cooking her favorite food lasagna. After eating and washing her dishes, she took off to bed.

“I really wonder why you called me out so late Dave. I have better things doing". Dave raised his hands up in surrender. “I will be tied down to one woman in the next few days so let's enjoy while I'm still single,all the bill is on me. Charles what do you think". “I'm all in, I don't know about Steve". “Well fine, who made you the lucky guy". Steve asked sarcastically. “It's rather I who made her the lucky woman, don't misinterpret". Dave replied. ”Let's raise a toast to friendship", Dave said. “To friendship". They all clinked their wine glass.

In the morning, Alexis woke up very early and did her usual routine. It was past 8 in the morning. After eating her breakfast, she took off to the venue Kayla gave her. Upon arrival, Kayla was already seated on the front benched infront of the mall. “Let's go", she dragged Alexis along in a hurry. “Take your time else I might drop something"Alexis said. Kayla only let go of her hands when they reached the bridal section. “Let's get in". Kayla said while giggling. “At your service ma'am". Alexis bowed childishly.

Kayla laughed at her expression.

Few minutes later

“Are you thinking what I'm thinking Alexis, this is the perfect wedding gown or what do you think". Kayla asked. “Go try it on". She pushed Kayla into the changing room. “Omg Kayla you look splendid". Alexis exclaimed. “Why are you crying if I look splendid"Kayla asked worriedly. “I'm so proud of you Kayla". Alexis replied while hugging her tightly. She wiped her tears. She was so happy for her friend. “Alexis you are hurting me, you might crush my baby". Alexis let go.

“Did I hear you say baby,are you pregnant Kayla and you are now telling me. I'm disappointed". Alexis said wrongly. “Yes, I find out not long ago, I'm 1 month pregnant already with Dave". Kayla replied. “I want to be his Godmother because I know it's a he". Alexis replied seriously. “Yeah you will be an amazing godmother". Kayla giggled. “Does Dave know already". Alexis asked concerned. “Of course he knows". Kayla replied. “Then that's good news, I was worried about you but if he is aware that's fine. Don't tell me you are marrying because of the baby". Alexis asked.

“No way he proposed a long time ago, I just wasn't ready to settle down yet". “Enough about me Alexis,go and try that dress on". Kayla pushed her into the changing room.

“How do I look". Alexis asked. “You look amazing". Kayla winked.

“Miss we are paying for these". Kayla said while giving her credit card to the lady at the counter. After swiping the card, they collected the dresses. “Let's go to a beauty salon". Kayla replied. “For what". Alexis asked raising her eyebrows. “For a massage, pedicure and manicure". Kayla giggled. “This probably be good".

“I felt so relaxed today, thanks Kayla". Alexis said. “You are sleeping at my place today so let's go to your house for your things first". Kayla said not giving room for explanation. “But what about your car". Alexis replied. “I didn't bring my car, let's go". Alexis drove to her house and after series of lectures from Kayla, she packed her stuffs and they moved to Kayla's house.

“Tomorrow is a big day, good night Alexis". Kayla said sleepily. “Good night". Alexis said and switched off the lamp on nightstand.
