C2 The Accident

Alexis saw her parents off,hugged and kissed them. They set off in their fleet of cars while Alexis hurried upstairs.She met her phone ringing on the bed and picked it up to meet an annoyed voice.Kayla was pissed that Alexis wasn't picking her calls, although they were best friends but her patience was limited. Immediately Alexis placed the call by her eyes, Kayla's angry voice rang out "Where have you been, I have been calling you for eternity"

"I'm sorry Kayla , mom and dad were going on a budget trip and I needed to see them off". "It's alright but don't keep me waiting on the phone"

Alexis laughed."Have you heard the latest news that Simon is dating Biannca"."That's none of my business Kayla, besides I was just having a crush on him and he is a complete jerk. I regret having a crush on him". Kayla laughed at the other side of the phone.

"Oh please spare me that Alexis, that wasn't a crush you liked him, I could always see love in your eyes whenever you see him around on campus"."Hmmm, it's just that he didn't look in my way so I have forgotten about it"."Well that's our little secret,see ya". "See ya Kayla,bye"

Alexis placed her phone on the bed and lied down.

Alexis heard series of knocks on her door. She sighed in frustration but she still went to open the door knowing it might be Nanny Jean. She opened the door only to meet Nanny Jean's sad face with tear filled eyes.

"What is it Nanny Jean,why are you sad, you hardly cry, come on tell me what's wrong". Nanny Jean still remained silent. Alexis sighed and continued"You know I might be stubborn sometimes but I can understand so tell me".After a few minutes of silence, Nanny Jean hesitated but finally gathered courage.

"I'm sorry"was all she said. "What's wrong?", Alexis didn't seem to understand why Nanny Jean was apologizing to her. "Alexis, your parents were caught in a deadly car accident and died on the spot".After a few seconds of registering Nanny Jean's words, Alexis burst out crying"This can't be true, tell me is a lie". Nanny Jean still remained silent.

"Alexis I'm sorry dear but that's the truth". Alexis kept on shouting"No,no no,why is this happening. I should have gone with you guys on the business trip, it would have been better if we had all died together". Nanny Jean tried to hug Alexis but she dodged it and said with sobs, still sniffing from her crying,"Who will pamper me,Who will love me and tolerate me now that you guys are gone".

Alexis fainted and was rushed to the hospital
