C7 Chapter Seven

Lying comfortably on the bed in my bedroom in Alfonso Villa, I was so into the book I was reading; it was quite interesting, and the plot was so twisted that it made me want to do nothing but read more.

Hearing a knock come from the door, I grimaced. Who could it be? I just got to the most interesting part of the book, and it needed my full attention, I thought before lazily dragging myself up and going towards the door to answer it.

I opened the door and saw Sofia, who was raising an eyebrow at me. I don't mean to be rude, but all I wanted right now was to get back to my book. Smiling a little at me, she said, "I was asked to ask if you would like to take anything."

Giving her a forced smile, I shake my head before replying, "No, I am good."

Closing the door, I quickly raced back to the bed, jumping on it and picking the book up, ready to finish it.

After a few chapters, I heard a knock on the door again, this time groaning loudly. I got up to open the door.

Looking at the old lady in front of me, who had a black and white uniform on, I couldn't help but wonder who she was. She slightly bowed her head, making it a little bit awkward for me.

Awkwardly, I bowed my head, looking towards the hall and not being able to meet her eyes. "Marquis Alfonso asked for me to miss." She said this, smiling gently at me.

Bowing a little, I stepped out of the room, closing the door behind me as she led the way, and I followed her wherever she was taking me.

Reaching the front of a big door that had some golden initials on it, she bowed her head and gestured for me to go in before leaving.

Knocking the door I waited quietly for her to come in before opening the door. Looking around the room, which looked like an office and library together,

It had a lot of shelves around each corner and a giant glass wall on the left side of the room. Wow, he must really like gazing outside with the amount of glass walls he has in his house, I thought.

Turning my gaze back to the middle of the room, I saw a big desk there with the devil sitting behind it, looking at me with mocking amusement lurking in his eyes as I stood here admiring the room.

"Since I know my designer did a good job, I should give them a raise considering the fact that you stood there starstruck for about 5 minutes," he said smirking.

Rolling my eyes at him, I walked towards him before taking a seat in front of him. "You called for me," I said, grimacing at how that sounded like he was my master and he asked for me.

"Well, yes, I would like us to discuss the marriage," he said, looking up from the document he was going through and setting it aside.

I gave him my full attention, as I knew it was an important discussion we were about to have.

"I was thinking of having it next week, what do you think?" He asked.

My eyes widened slightly, as I did not expect it to be so soon, but then again, it needed to be done, and the sooner we got married, the faster he helped me with my revenge.

With that thought, I looked back up at him, nodding my head. "It's a good idea; we might as well get it over with sooner," I said.

"But.." I said before stopping at nothing, knowing how to voice out what I was about to say, as he held a title here, and I was not sure he was going to agree to it.

Raising his eyebrows at me, he urged me to continue saying whatever I was about to say.

Taking a deep breath, I finally voiced it out: "I think we should have a small wedding with not too many people—just a few witnesses and a priest," I said, looking at him.

"That's a great idea," he said, nodding his head. "That way people won't ask too many questions about us."

Blowing a breath of relief, I was happy he was okay with that, because honestly, I wasn't ready to face the world again, and definitely not as someone who is supposed to be dead but now married to royalty. I refuse to feed the tabloid with my business.

"I was also thinking we probably need to change a few things about you and come up with a story about your disappearance so as to avoid unnecessary problems in the future." He said, crossing his arms, causing his muscles to hug the white t-shirts he was putting on.

I couldn't help but stare at his muscles, which looked like they were trying to burst out of his shirt. They looked yummy, and I couldn't help but wonder how they would taste when I ran my tongue along them.

Feeling the heat in between my legs, I couldn't help but adjust myself on the chair, trying to clear my thoughts, which surprised me as I was one of those girls who was too shy to even look at a guy, let alone have such thoughts about him.

Tearing my gaze away from his muscles, I looked up at him to see him already looking at me, smirking, then looking back down at his muscles, flexing them a little.

Bending over the table a little, he placed his finger under his grinning smile before whispering, "Are you sure that you can keep up?" he asked me, still smirking.

Composing myself, I glared at him. "Oh, please, there's nothing for me to keep up with; I definitely have seen enough," I said, standing up and making my way out of the office before my heart and eyes betrayed me once more. I refuse to let my stupid heart fall for anyone again, especially not an Italian playboy.
