C3 Job Offer

Rachel's Pov

"Wake up Rachel!!" I heard someone tapping me. I opened my eyes lazily as I glanced around.

I eyes came in contact with Abigail.

"Hey Abigail" I yawned.

"Your phone has been ringing since and you were busy sleeping and by the way, aren't you supposed to be at work?" She asked.

"Yep but I got fired" I replied.

"What happened.. I mean why were you fired?" She asked worriedly.

"Four foolish men came to eat at the restaurant this morning so they called me so they can order and by the time I got to their seats they began flirting with me and one of them smacked my butt then I twisted his hand and the manager rushed out to see what was happening. The men told the manager to fire me or else they were gonna close down the restaurant. The manager had no choice than to fire me because the men were powerful business men who could close down the restaurant with the snap of their finger. So that was how I lost my job" I concluded and she sighed softly.

"Sorry for that" she said.

"No probs" I replied and picked my phone. My eyes widened when I saw the number of missed calls.

"Jeez, eighteen missed calls" I muttered.

"I guess you slept very long" Abigail chuckled.

I changed the caller and I gasped.

"It's madam Alicia"

"Who's madam Alicia?" Abigail asked.

"She's one the people I once worked for" I replied.

"Alright, I want to get something from the store" she said and walked out.

I called madam Alicia's number and she picked on the third ring.

"Good afternoon madam Alicia" I greeted.

"Afternoon Rachel, I called your number several times but you weren't picking" she said

"I'm sorry ma, my phone was on silent so I didn't know when it rang" I replied.

"Alright, there's a woman I used to work as a nanny for her sons but I am no longer their nanny and they are in need of a new nanny so I introduced you to the women's and she said you should come to her house tomorrow morning by 9:00am" she said.

"Do you really mean it nanny Amelia?" I asked not believing my ears.

"Yes Rachel, you are an hard-working lady so you deserve better. The salary is good and you'll be able to pay for your brother's surgery"

"Thanks a lot madam Alicia" I said happily.

"No problem, just make sure you get there early coz she loves punctuality and I will send the address to you"

"Alright, thanks again" I said and ended the call.

"Yes!!" I said and bumped my fist in the air.

"What's with the smiling face" Abigail asked she walked in.

"I finally got another job" I said and jumped on her.

"Do you wanna kill me, get down from my back" she said and I jumped on the bed.

"So what's the job all about?" She asked as she arranged the foodstuffs she bought.

"I am gonna be working as a nanny" I replied.

"A nanny!!"

"Yep, madam Alicia used to be their nanny but she travelled recently so she introduced me to the woman and I will be the nanny for her two sons" I said.

"That's nice" Abigail replied and my phone beeped. I guess madam Alicia just sent the address.

I checked the message and I read it out.

"8th Street, Mainstate Villa" I read out and Abigail gasped.

"What's wrong Abigail?" I asked when I saw the surprised look on her face.

"Mainstate Villa is the estate for the rich and when I say rich I mean filthy rich" she said and I rolled my eyes.

"Rich people's are always arrogant, I hope the woman's sons won't be as arrogant as the guy I met today" I said.

"Which guy is that?" Abigail asked.

"I met him when I was coming back from work this morning and his car almost hit me. The driver came down from the car and apologized to me but the guy told the driver not to apologize instead I should get out of the way. I told him to apologise but he declined. Another guy came out of the car. He and the arrogant guy were twins but he was so gentle and cool. He apologized to me and begged me not to be offended by his twin brother" I narrated.

"That arrogant guy surely deserves a slap" Abigail said and I chuckled.

She switched on the television and changed it to a music channel.

Abigail and I are lovers of music but I do not really listen to music like she does; I only listen to the songs of my favorite artists and they are Justin Bieber and Ed Sheeran.

I love cooking and singing while Abigail loves dancing and swimming. I ask wish to be a musician but I do not have the financial capacity.

We finished watching a music video and another music video popped up.

"The Diamonds" Abigail screamed excitedly as she saw the music video.

"Who are the Diamonds?" I asked.

"Don't tell me you don't know the Diamonds" she said.

"Sorry to burst your bubble but I do not know them" I replied.

"Okay, the Diamonds is a music band of two twin brothers; Thomas and Tom. They are currently the Top one in New York and they just returned back to New York today" she said.

"Ok"

The music video played and my eyes widened when I saw the video. It was the same guys I met today.

"I saw them today" I said and Abigail raised a brow at me.

"They are the twins i was talking about; their car almost hit me"

"Do you really mean it?" She asked.

"Yeah, that's the arrogant guy" I said pointing at one of the twins.

"That's Thomas and the other guy is Tom" Abigail said.

"So the arrogant one is Thomas and the gentle one is Tom" I said.

"They are so identical and also handsome; they are my favorite artists" Abigail said and blushed.

"Yeah whatever" I replied and rolled my eyes.

We continued watching the music video and Abigail was already dancing around the room. The music was so lovely that I did not know when I started dancing.

We danced for some minutes before the music ended we sat down on the chair.

"That's what I call real music!!!" Abigail yelled happily.

Yeah, I must admit their music is top notch.

"I think I will add them to my list of favorite musicians" I said and Abigail chuckled.

"You better do coz you won't wanna miss amazing songs"

Another music video played and I checked the artist's name.

"Drille, who is he?"

"You also don't know Drille?"

"If I knew who he was would I be asking"

"Alright, Drille is another amazing musician and a rival of the Diamonds. He's also amazing but I do not really like his songs" she said and we continued watching the videos.
