C4 The new girls

Nigel was already foaming up when I got back to the club. "Do you want my dad looking for us, huh?"

I rolled my eyes. "Chill man. I'm here already". He glared at me and I laughed. "Come on, let's go"

He mumbled some words and finally take a step. I chuckled and followed him behind with Bella. The drive back to the packhouse was silent and I couldn't stop thinking about the girl I met at the club. I kinda like her vibes and she reminded me so much of someone I once knew. By the time we got to the packhouse, Declan, Nigel's father was already waiting for us. "How many times have I warned you both to stop keeping late nights?"

"I told ya" Nigel whispered and I chuckled

He walked towards us. "Went to the club again?. Did Nigel forced you to go this time?" He asked

I laughed. Even his dad knows how much a club freak he is. "No, no. We just went to have a little fun" I replied. Nigel sighed.

"Just get inside. And make sure you don't stay this late again". We nodded like babies. "Is that a promise". We nodded again. "Go, go inside. It's getting cold outside"

I rolled my eyes and we walked into the house. "Good night" I waved at Nigel and Bella, as I found my way to my room. I was already feeling tired and sleepy. I had to take a quick shower and lay on my bed. I need to sleep early, cause I know tomorrow is going to be a hectic day for me, if not for all.

The ringing of my alarm woke me up from my sleep. I groaned. I still feel sleepy. I picked up the alarm and switched it off. I lay down to sleep a little more. It was the ray of light coming in through the window that woke me up this time. I picked up my phone to check the time. It was a few minutes past 8 am and my meeting with Brian Enterprises is by 9 am. "Shit" I cursed. How come I slept that much?. I must have drunk too much Champagne. I hissed. Thanks to Nigel. "This isn't time to get angry," my subconscious mind said

I nodded in agreement and stood up from the bed. I rushed into the bathroom to take my bath and then get dressed in a black suit. How much I hate to wear it but I had to, because of work. I picked up my office bag to check if all the documents were intact. Luckily, they were. I placed my black leather pants and jacket into a bag. I'll be changing into that for school, after the meeting. Giving the last touch to my hair, I rushed downstairs. Nigel was seated at the dining with some other werewolves. Bella wasn't there. They stood up to greet me but I only waved at them. "Nigel meet me at the car park"

He furrowed his brows. "No breakfast?"

"No, it's almost time for the meeting"

He groaned. "Ok, I'll meet you downstairs"

"Be fast about it"

"Sure"

The meeting ended with us being awarded the contract. Mr. Brian stood up. "Congratulations, Mr. Nolan"

I smiled and stood up too. "Thank you so much for trusting us, Mr. Brian"

He smiled. "I believe you won't disappoint me"

"We won't, that's a promise" Nigel answered and I nodded.

Mr. Brian smiled. "See you in my office by Monday"

I nodded. "We'll be there"

We shook hands and I saw him off to the door. After he left, I quickly pull off the suit. I was sweating already. Nigel laughed. "Easy"

I rolled my eyes and sat down. "I can't believe we got the contract"

He smiled. "I knew you would"

I sighed and relaxed on the chair. "I can't believe have been able to build and maintain this company for this long. I thought I would fail. I thought I will be so depressed that I will end up as a failure"

Nigel held my hand. "I have always known you will do just fine. Look at you, you've grown up. You've built a name for yourself. You've been leading the pack with great efforts too. I sometimes admire your leadership skills"

I chuckled. "And you haven't learned anything from it yet?"

He hissed. "I have got no time for stress"

I rolled my eyes. "Really?". He nodded. "I see that as a sign of laziness"

"I ain't lazy"

"I don't see that"

He hissed. "Ain't we going to school?"

"Of course we are going"

He groaned. "Do we have to?. Can't we just stay back at work?"

I rolled my eyes. "You're running away from Bella. Do you guys fought, yesterday?"

He sighed. "Nah. It isn't a fight. It's just a little misunderstanding but you know Bella too well. She's complicated"

I chuckled. "She's your mate. You've got to understand her"

He hissed. "I wish you had a mate too, so I could tell you the same". I glared at him and he chuckled. "Sorry. I wasn't supposed to say that. But I do wish your mate will show up soon"

I stood up. "Go get ready. We are leaving for school"

"Nolan?"

"Now!" I ordered

He sighed. "Ok, Alpha," he said that Alpha in a sarcastic tone but I wasn't in the mood for that. I left him and went to get ready for school. My mood wasn't lively as it was before. His word pieced deep into my heart. I once do wish I had a mate too. But right now, I don't want to think about my mate, not after trying to find her for two years. I care less about her!!.

The car stopped right in front of the school gate. It's an all Alpha school. But the families of the Alpha and Beta are allowed to attend too. I opened the door to step out. Nigel groaned. "Isn't he suppose to take us into the school premises?"

I hissed and stepped out. "You can keep sitting in the car for all I care!!". I began to go

"Hey!!" He yelled, running after me. I chuckled. "Wait up!!"

I quickly kept a straight face and turned. "What?"

He rolled his eyes. "Are you still mad with me?"

I furrowed my brows. "For what? Exactly?"

He sighed. "For talking about your mate"

I burst into laughter. Is he for real?. "No. I wasn't even thinking that"

"But you had refused to talk to me"

I chuckled. "Oh, that. I wasn't in the mood to talk to you"

He scoffed. "Really?"

I nodded. "Really"

"You..." I ignored him and started walking away. I heard him groaned. "Hey, I'm not done talking". I ignored him and kept walking. "Nolan". He touched me and I pushed his hand away. "Hey!!". I rolled my eyes and began to run. He ran after me and finally caught up with me. "You're such a jerk!!". I couldn't stop laughing. "Hey, stop laughing. It isn't funny, ok?"

"Of course it is. Did you see your face when I told you I wasn't in the mood to talk to you?"

He hissed. "You're just been..."

"Nigel?" Bella called. Nigel groaned. I raised my head to see her coming in our direction. "You guys are late!!". I rolled my eyes and looked at Nigel who was already looking frustrated.

He mind-linked me. "Are you ready?"

I rolled my eyes. "For what?" I answered through the mind-link.

"To run". I chuckled. "I'm serious. If you don't run with me, you will have to face your cousin alone"

I batted my lashes. I'm not ready to listen to her blabbing. "I'm ready"

He nodded. "After the count of 3. I, 2, 3"

We ran off to the surprise of Bella. "Hey!!" she yelled. We stopped running when we were sure we were far from her. I held my chest, laughing. One thing I loved about this school, is that I get to express myself as me, not as an Alpha.

Nigel laughed. "I can't believe I ran away from my mate," he said

I rolled my eyes. "You always run from her. It isn't new". He glared at me and I laughed. "Time to go to class". I turned to leave but bumped into someone. His/her books fell to the ground.

I groaned and Nigel chuckled. "Hey. Are you blind or something?!!" She yelled. I rolled my eyes. It's a girl. I raised my head and she gasped. She pushed her hair backward. I bend down to help her pick up her books and then handed them over to her. She chuckled. "Sorry, I yelled at you"

"It's nothing. I guess I'll have to be more careful next time"

She furrowed her brows. "You're not angry?"

"No"

She smiled. "You're kind". I rolled my eyes. "By the way, I'm Ella" she stretched her hand to shake me.

"Nolan" I held her hand into mine. Nigel coughed and I groaned. "Ella, meet Nigel. My..."

"Best friend" Nigel answered quickly. I glared at him. I wanted to say Beta, not my best friend!!.

"Nice meeting you Nigel"

"Nice meeting you too"

"Ella?" Someone called. I turned to see who it was, only to be met with two blue angry eyes. Wait, her face looks familiar. "You!!" She pointed at me. I gasped. This girl again!!.
