C5 The Journey of the Young Master Mo
In a luxurious villa, a beautiful woman with a cool demeanor sat at her vanity, speaking softly on the phone, "Alright, I'll find out."
It was Lan Xin, Jo Ann's best friend.
The sliding door of the bathroom made a gentle sound as it opened.
Lan Xin lowered her voice, "Okay, I'll get back to you. Goodnight."
"Impressive, Miss Lan. Even at this hour, someone’s thinking of you," Ziyu remarked, approaching with a towel wrapped around him, his hair still dripping as he glared at the phone on the vanity.
The next moment, Lan Xin was lifted and tossed onto the bed, pinned down by his strong frame.
Ziyu exuded a mischievous energy, "What, am I not enough for you?"
"It's not..." Lan Xin's words were swallowed by his heated kiss.
After the storm had passed, Lan Xin curled up in the chaotic corner of the bed.
Ziyu got up and dressed, as usual, no overnight stay, no warmth.
She seemed to be nothing more than a tool for his desires.
As he left, Ziyu tossed a credit card onto the bed.
Lan Xin sat up abruptly, clutching the blanket, "I don't need your money!"
Ziyu's narrow eyes lifted slightly, a cold sneer in his voice, "True, Miss Lan is quite the rising star now. Why would you need money?"
Lighting a cigarette, Ziyu spoke with disdain, "So what do you want, marriage? Don't even think about it..."
Lan Xin interrupted, “Mo Kai’s schedule.”
White smoke rings obscured Faang Ziyu’s face, making his expression hard to discern. After a moment, Lan Xin watched as he stubbed out the cigarette he hadn’t finished and walked back toward her...

The next day.
At the Kang City International Conference Center, the elite gathered. Today, a grand business forum was being held here. It was highly anticipated for another reason: Mo Kai, the most sought-after figure in Kang City’s social scene, who hadn’t been seen in years, was set to deliver the keynote address.
Amidst the bustling crowd, a woman in casual attire, wearing a baseball cap and large black-framed glasses, looked around as if waiting for something. A press badge hung from her neck: Qiao Ann, reporter for the Kang City Daily.
Suddenly, the crowd buzzed with excitement, and camera flashes went off. “He’s here! He’s here!”
In the crowd, a man in a sharp suit walked with a commanding presence, his polished black shoes stepping confidently on the red carpet, exuding an aura as cool and distinguished as a deity.
Qiao Ann adjusted her glasses, which almost covered half her face, and murmured, “Time to work, Reporter Qiao.”
Mo Kai’s talk today focused on the current state of global economic financing, with a detailed analysis of several representative regional cooperation projects. Qiao Ann watched the eloquent and spirited man on stage, marveling at the unfairness of divine craftsmanship.
His presentation naturally received a round of applause. The host announced there were ten minutes for questions. Joann raised her slender arm high. The man on stage glanced over. Joann felt his gaze linger on her for just two seconds before moving on. For the last question, Joann was still determined, waving her hand energetically. Mo Kai remained impassive, once again overlooking her. Joann's face flushed with frustration. She had planned to use this opportunity to ask about collaborating with Huachen, but the man gave her no chance.
After the session, there was a business cocktail party. In the VIP lounge, Mo Kai removed his suit jacket, revealing a matching vest and white shirt, exuding an air of sophistication. He lit a cigarette, standing by the window with a contemplative gaze. The partially open door was nudged wider, and a slender figure slipped in stealthily.
"Director Mo."
Mo Kai turned, his eyes landing on the press badge on the visitor's chest. He remarked leisurely, "Miss Qiao, you certainly have your ways."
Joann chuckled awkwardly, her tone slightly ingratiating. "Director Mo, could I have a moment of your time?"
"If it's about collaborating with Huachen, Miss Qiao, it's best not to bring it up."
"Are you concerned about Fuyang's capabilities? But if you just believe..."
"Verbal promises are the cheapest, Miss Qiao. You've been working for a while; do I really need to teach you this?"
"Director Mo, perhaps you should reconsider Fuyang..."
"Miss Qiao, there's no need to see me out." Mo Kai's eyes narrowed slightly, his expression hinting at displeasure.
"Is it because the opportunity has already been given to Shengdong Pharmaceuticals?"
Qiao Ann had just encountered the smug CEO of Shengdong and a few industry colleagues congratulating him.
Mo Kai's face was unreadable, his tone indifferent: "Yes."
"Is there no room for negotiation... what if Shengdong Pharmaceuticals withdraws on their own?" Qiao Ann's voice had a hint of urgency.
Mo Kai's eyes narrowed slightly: "Oh?"
"If I can persuade Shengdong Medical to withdraw, would you consider Fuyang?"
In all of Kang City, every company dreams of establishing a connection with Mosheng Group, especially for such a rare opportunity.
Mo Kai stubbed out his cigarette, raising an eyebrow, suddenly intrigued.
"Then I'll be watching closely."
"Director Mo, I have a request as well. Please don't interfere with what I'm about to do."
Mo Kai's lips curled slightly: "I'm only interested in the outcome."
As Qiao Ann left the VIP room, her tightly clenched fists suddenly relaxed.
