C3 STRANGE
Alexia was shocked, unable to move; she had always wanted to marry, but it never occurred to her that she would marry a man whose name she didn't know and whom she hadn't seen in her whole life.
She'd heard countless stories about him, and each time it made her upset that her sister would wind up with such a man, only to find out she'd be the bride.
Alexia wiped her tears with the back of her palm as she swallowed the rising knot in her throat; she couldn't believe her sister and stepmother could betray her like that; she was surprised her father agreed right immediately without asking her first, and she knew Scarlett had always been the favorite child.
She wiped another tear from her eyes as she remembered her mother; she knew her mother would never put her into the lion's den and would have done anything to protect her; she immediately missed her mother and felt nostalgic recalling the time she was alive, and they had a beautiful time together.
Alexia blinked many times, attempting to keep her tears at bay; she doesn't want her father to see her in this state, and it pains her to see her sister and stepmother eating so joyfully.
Her father had thrown a great party for the occasion, and as she looked around the room, she realized she was the only one who was sad. She sniffed when she noticed a group of people approaching her and moved over to them.
“Congratulations lady Alexia, I hope you have a great marital life,” one of the women who approached her said and she smiled awry.
“Thank you so much, I appreciate” she replied, and they showed some courtesy before walking away, it seemed she was the only one who wasn’t aware of her wedding.
Alexia desperately wanted to laugh, but she needed to calm down, nothing could have prepared her for the day, and it was too bad her birthday is the next day. She huffed and was determined to make everyone happy for her own sake; she hadn't had a joyful life since her mother died, and she wasn't about to start now.
Alexia feared that as each second passed and the celebration came to a conclusion, her father would find her and kick her out for good; she didn't know when she would again step foot into the pack she had known her entire life.
Alexia walked away from the party and went to her room. When she looked in the mirror, her eyes were bloodshot red, and she blinked frantically to keep herself from crying. When she heard a knock on the door, she went over to open it.
She furrowed her brows as she noticed three servants standing before her: "We were asked to move your belongings, the limousine is waiting to pick you up at your new home."Alexia nodded, allowing them to enter her chamber, as the maid said.
The concept of having a new home perplexed her; she had her gaze fixed on the servants as they entered her room, and she couldn't believe this was no longer her room.
The servants immediately scooped up her garments and exited the room at the same time Scarlett entered. Alexia glared when she spotted Scarlett, and Scarlett giggled, her gaze sweeping over the room.
"Well, I'm glad you're finally out of the pack. Be sweet to your husband, cook for him, feed him, and be his nanny because he can't use his legs, and I'm not certain how he'll pleasure you," Scarlett stated, giving Alexia a disgusted look.
“You are in no place to tell me any of that Scarlett, I promise you I am going to pay you back for what you did, planning my wedding without my consent,” Alexia said and Scarlett chuckled
“You can’t do anything, Alexia, you should just hope and pray you have a good life over there. I pray you don’t have a good life” Scarlett said and walked out of the room, Alexia sighed and felt a constriction in her chest.
Alexia forced a grin and looked at her father as the door unexpectedly opened again. "Father," she said, and Alpha Rodriguez smiled and took her hand as they walked out of the room.
They exited the Pack Mansion to find a limousine waiting for them. Alexia blinked many times, trying to contain her emotions, and was brought inside the car, where she noticed her stepmother and sister grinning at her. She entered the car and shut the door, leading her out of the pack.
She looked out the window as the car sped away, unable to believe she was leaving her home, which she had known her entire life, and that she would now be at the mercy of strangers.
She gently placed her face on her palm and cried quietly; no one in the limousine seemed to be nice because they all ignored her while she cried; she couldn't believe she was going to spend the rest of her life with a cripple; and she considered killing herself or fleeing, but as each thought crossed her mind, she blinks several times, trying to will the thought out of her mind.
Alexia eventually stopped crying since she had no option and resolved to accept her fate when she saw a massive gate, bigger than the one in her pack, with boldly written words on top. “Shadow pack" she mumbled, and the gate opened, enabling the limousine to pass through.
They drove along the difficult path and gradually came into contact with various houses; Alexia was awestruck by the beauty of the pack, which was much larger and more beautiful than hers. Her gaze flashed about, and she noticed other folks going about their business with a big smile on their faces.
She noticed the car approaching a mansion and how magnificent the mansion was, the limousine came to a halt; the chauffeur promptly stood up to open the door for her, Alexia came out of the car and looked about.
"So this is my new home," she mumbled to herself as she noticed several people gathered at the door, eager to welcome her in. She expected to see her new husband, but she saw no one sitting in a wheelchair.
A middle aged man who looked like the butler of the house, had two ladies by his side as he walked toward Alexia. "Greetings lady Alexia!" He said and bowed a little and Alexia bowed back making it very awkward for the man.
"My name is Sam, I am the butler here and I will have to sincerely apologize on behalf of the royal head and his family, they can't personally welcome you but you are highly welcome.
Please come in!" The butler said
Alexia nodded promptly and turned to pick her handbag and dragged the first luggage by her side with her second hand but the butler stopped her.
"No, my lady, the maids will get it for you and place it in your room, come in with me first!" The butler said and Alexia nodded and walked with him inside.
"we will have to wait for the royal family here, they will be out in a second!" The butler said and Alexia bowed and sat down innocently.
"What will my lady love to take now, wine or juice? Name anything, we have it in the store!" Butler Sam said and Alexia smiled. "I am fine! Thank you sir!" Alexia replied.
Butler Sam looked at her and looked around to see if anyone was coming but since there was no one, he voiced out.
"Mi lady, I can see you are nervous, you don't have to, I can tell that you travelled a long distance, let me serve you something!" Butler Sam said and Alexia smiled and could see Butler Sam would not take no for an answer.
"No problem, sir, I will go with water then, room temperature!"Alexia said and butler Sam smiled. He quickly arranged a maid to serve her with a bottle of water and accompanied her in silence as they awaited the royals.
They waited for a few minutes before the mistress of the house descended.
"Butler Sam, and who is the guest?" Luna Malinda asked as butler Sam and Alexia turned to look in her direction. Alexia stood up immediately nervously as she faced a beautiful woman who had her shoulder length hair flowing down freely.
Her dress was sparkling and it was screaming wealthy. Alexia recognized the accessories and she knew every tiny one of the jewels the woman had on was very expensive.
She looks young for a mistress as well but Alexia could tell immediately that she was Luna from the ring on her finger.
"Good day, ma'am, I am Alexia, the youngest daughter of the storm pack." Alexia said with a bow and Luna Malinda nodded.
"Ohh, I heard about you, welcome, I will go get my husband, nobody told me you are here already!" Malinda said and Alexia smiled and bowed as Malinda walked away again.
Alexia could smell the rat in what she said. Luna Malinda certainly doesn't look like someone who was surprised to see her or happy she was there. What on earth is going on?
Alexia looked butler Sam's way but the man didn't pay her attention that will give her the chance to ask questions. Alexia could only wait patiently as she thought about it.
She was being married to a nonchalant family. She could have at least done some reach if she knew she was being married off to someone. She really didn't know anything about the clan and the rumored cripple prince.
Alexia was still thinking when the large door to her right opened and a man walked in. Alexia stood up immediately and bowed as the man walked closer to her and she looked up and then smiled.
He was dressed in a navy suit and he looked more aged than the butler and to be frank, if leaders are meant to be chosen by look, Alexia would have voted the butler in.
She had several silly thoughts until the alpha cleared his throat and voiced out. "Good morning, young lady, you must be Alexia Rodriguez! The mate of the first young master! You look beautiful!" Alpha dean said and alexia smiled.
"Thank you, sir, I am glad to be in your presence, you sure do look younger than I was told. May your beauty never diminish!" Alexia said with another bow and the alpha chuckled.
"I hope you heard great things about me from your father! Welcome to the Scotts castle!" Alpha dean said and Alexia nodded.
"butler Sam, go and get Alexander that his bride is here, I thought he will be down by now, don't make the lady wait for too long!" The alpha said and butler Sam bowed and turned to walk away.
He took two steps before the main entrance door opened and it was like a movie. Everyone turned to see who had pulled the door open with such a great force.
The maid walked in a line with bags in their hand, it was like someone was doing a relocation to the castle. They all were kept in suspense of who owns the bags and who was planning to walk in such a mystery!
After a few seconds, a lady walked in a beautiful ball gown, like she was attending a prom date. Her face was pure and mature and Alexia was fascinated by her beauty.
Butler Sam and Alpha Dean were not sure of why the lady was in the castle today and most importantly, why was she dressed so elegantly like she was attending a feast or a total event.
