C5 The Wedding

DAMON'S POV:

"Do you, Damon Antonio, take Elena Field as your beloved wife?" The priest asked and Damon gave me a clear look.

"I do." He said emotionlessly.

I stared at him with a mixture of fright and disbelief, getting so many mixed feelings.

He wasn't behaving like the man I knew earlier, the one that literally rubbed me against him.

I remembered in that instance that he was cold on the inside, as his life seemed to be a secret to the world. He was ruthless, and heartless, why would he ever want to invite anyone to his wedding?

Just the priest and Leo were fine for him, apparently. We both stood before the priest and I had no bouquet of flowers even.

I shouldn't be expecting any of this but I just thought that was how it should be. But...

"And do you Elena Field, take Damon Antonio, to be your lovely wedded husband?"

Lovely? I wouldn't put it that way at all. He wasn't lovely. He was showing that to me.

I felt tears threatening to leave my eyes but I swallowed them. I'd always cried like this anyway.

After years of living with my sexually abusive uncle, this was all I recognized. It wasn't new to me.

I was only hurt because he made me feel there was something more.

Like I meant something more to him. But all these changed my perspective.

Antonio cocked a brow at me, the priest tilted his head and Leonardo mirrored Antonio.

I was hesitant to reply. But then, Antonio was the only one I had right now, I could only do as he said.

"I do," I said.

We both wore our rings, and I had to say that I was stunned he actually got me an expensive ring.

My uncle dealt with rings so I understood what they entailed.

"You may now kiss the bride." I nearly gasped.

I'd forgotten that the husband was meant to kiss his bride in marriage but I didn't know.

Would Antonio really kiss me?

I looked him in the eyes waiting for him to make a move. I didn't think he would because...he moved closer and kissed my forehead, then my nose, then my lips. I nearly broke down. Why was he doing this to me? Was it deliberate? Was he trying to get at anything? Why did he have to be so unpredictable?

His tongue whirled on mine and the way I melted instantly into his arms brought nothing but fear into me.

If all he did was treat me like I didn't exist after this, and I got this close to him, I was afraid I'd give in to my feelings all the time.

Then he pulled away. His eyes searched for mine, but what for?

I guess we didn't have to say our vows, because the priest was done with us already.

When he was gone, Antonio glanced at me again.

"Let's go to the club." I obliged, taking his outstretched hand before we walked together to the club.

I noticed some of the sluts checking me out either with glares, curiosity or astonishment.

Once we were in the main club we found ourselves a seat, where I watched everything that went on on stage.

He moved me closer to himself and I felt he'd begun again but then, I leaned into him nonetheless.

One of his men came and whispered something into his ears and that made me curious. He looked at me and I knew that was my cue to sit up.

"Where is he?"

"He's seated amongst the guests here."

"He really got some balls coming to my club. After so many years and the crime he has committed. You're dismissed."

"Yes, boss." He excused himself while Damon's eyes began to search between the guests for a sign of probably someone.

I said nothing, all I did was worry and get curious.

"Make sure you stay right where you are. I don't want to come back and not meet you as I left you. Got it?" His expression was frightening enough for me to nod.

Then he rose and headed to someplace that I had no idea about.

Curiosity was eating me up. I'd never go against Antonio, considering the fact that he was a dangerous man.

But it was as though something within me searched for danger that night because I had no idea what came over me.

My curiosity got the best of me this time. I rose up from the seat as well and followed Antonio.

I had no idea what I was going to see, and I was expectant.

My heart thumped in my chest as I quietly followed Antonio's figure into the dark making sure I made no sound.

"Are the men ready?" That was Antonio's voice.

"Yes boss, but how will we be able to target him? He's been anonymous all his life."

"That's why you are trained as a mafia man. We can't miss this opportunity. When you see him you shoot!"

I gasped, who were they talking about? At the mention of 'anonymous', could it be Antonio's brother?

I had no idea there was a glass beside me because as I turned to leave, my hand hit it and before I could catch it, it dropped onto the ground.

I gasped audibly this time and instinctively. I knew that glass had drawn his attention because everywhere went instantly quiet.

Then I heard footsteps. I covered my mouth in fright, wondering why I hadn't sat my curious ass down.

The footsteps got even closer and I knew if I didn't make a move, I'd be gone before I could even think.

"Rather than I come to get you, just show your face." There was that low and foreboding voice again. I was terrified. If he found out it was me, he'd kill me.

I have seen him, he was heartless. I heard the resetting of a gun and gulped.

"I won't have to tell you twice to show yourself once these bullets run into your head. Step out or die."

With shaky hands, and a trembling body, I gently walked out of where I was hiding.

He visibly flared up at the sight of me. And without saying anything, lowered his gun and strode towards me.

His hand gripped mine as he continued out of the room.

"Antonio..." I called unknown to me what he intended to do. "Antonio plea..."

"Shut the fuck up!" He calmly and dangerously said it was more than enough to shut me up. "I tried to make it different with you, tried to be patient with you till you adjust. But I guess you're proving to me more stubborn than I thought. What were my direct words before I left huh?" He stopped the grip on my hand tightening that it hurt. We were in a dimly lit room but could still hear the noise from the club. "What were they?" He demanded.

"Stay right where you are. I want to meet you exactly the way I left you." I said, my heart pounding loudly in my chest.

"Hold on to the pillar behind you." He commanded and I instantly did as he said. "Did you do what I told you to do?" I shook my head. "Now you're going to obey me nicely." Without hesitation, he raised my gown. "Make sure you count to ten."

Spank!.

"One."

Spank!.

"Two.

Spank!

"Three...four...five." He wasn't making this easy for me. My heat ached and at the same time, my buttcheeks stung. I bit my lip. "Six...seven...eight...oww."

"Was that a count?" I was doomed. Then he moved so dangerously close to me and whispered. "I haven't even begun anything yet."

Then there was a gunshot. I jumped but Antonio was unfazed.

The gunshots became more, but all I could see was the dark eyes of Antonio.

He was certainly going to devour me.
