C3 On the Way
As soon as he told me u r the member of sun international… I was on cloud 9 because firstly I got the job, secondly in international company, thirdly my post of making presentations and last but not the least is my handsome CEO….
As I was lost in my thoughts… Jasper said…”Miss Pearl”
Me: …. (No answer)…
Jasper: Miss Pearl (cold n raised voice)
Me: Yes sir…
Jasper: We are going Rajkot right now…
Me: What? What do u mean by we?
Jasper: Simple Miss Pearl we are going home together n coming back together…
Me: No, I’ll manage please don’t worry…
Jasper: we are means we are… do as I say…
Me: ….. (No answer only staring at him)
Jasper: Zaiden till Monday no appointments, call or drop message if necessary…
Zaiden: Yes Sir noted…
Jasper: Miss Pearl let’s leave… (Got up from the chair walking towards door)
Me: …. (Following him without answering)
Jasper: tell driver uncle u r going with me n let him leave…
Me: ok
Jasper: I’ll be here in 2 mints… wait here…
As soon as he went to take his car from the parking… I called driver uncle n said I’m going with my boss but u be with me till I reach home…
Driver uncle nodded…
Jasper came and said “Get in…”
Me: hmmm
Jasper is driving n m looking out of the window… (Complete silence)
Jasper said “y u don’t want me to come at Ur home?”
Me: it’s not like that but if my parents doubt on u n me… then?
Jasper: it’s my responsibility u don’t worry about that…
Me: but…
Jasper: … I said… (With disdain look)
Me: okay (sad tone)
Jasper: Driver is following us…
Me: I don’t know
Jasper: okay…
Jasper said okay and asked me what would u like to have in lunch?
Me: m not hungry…
Jasper: but I’m…
Me: okay… ok... Anything ll do…
Jasper: ok which place?
We were passing through dhabha n I said we’ll have some Punjabi desi food.., he got me... n said dhabha…
Me: Yes… Makke di roti, Sarso da saag, lassi…
I was dumbfounded when I said n he was laughing…
Me: I’m not hungry, I said for u (with smirk I said)
Jasper: okay Miss Pearl (laughing at me)
Me: you…. Stop laughing…
Jasper said okay to me n we arrived at nice dhabha restaurant… and he came out from car n I was trying to open the door but did not… he came by side… n opened the door for me n as I stepped out of the car… my leg collided with his n I was about to fall on the sit… but he put his one hand and pulled me into his embrace… n my one hand was on his back n one on his shoulder n me continuously staring at him… getting butterflies in my stomach… jasper said “Miss Pearl please lose some weight u r too heavy to handle…”
My mouth was wide open… n I pushed him with my hand… he pulled me towards him n said lets go n have lunch… we reached at entrance, one of the manager greeted us… n
Jasper said table for 2, I said 3…
Jasper looking at me n I said driver… n he said ohh driver he had some work so he’ll not join us… n m staring at him… he said lets go to our table… n I followed him by side… we both had a seat facing each other n he ordered the same food which I had tempted for… n I was looking here n there… jasper started the conversation…
Jasper: What r u looking for?
Me: Nothing…
Jasper: y ur face is disappointed…
Me: I don’t know… (I said putting my hands between my legs n head down)
N I suddenly got up from my place and said I ll wash my hands and come…
Jasper said pearl wait I ll come with u… n we both went together towards washbasin and I saw washroom n he said…”Go relieve yourself, m waiting here…”
Me: No need (feeling embarrassed)
Jasper: just don’t lie n do as I say… (Angry tone)
Without answer I used washroom and washed my hands both staring each other… he said go n wait I’ll be right back… n he went to boys washroom... washed his hands and was with me… n started the conversation…
Jasper: I don’t like repeating things… if I say, u have to do it, no matter what… (Harsh n angry tone)
Me: hmmm…
As he was scolding me, tears came in my eyes n he changed his tone to caring and said… “U should relieve, as soon u feel the urge, it’s not good for health…”
Jasper: Miss Pearl have lunch…
Me: M full…
Jasper: ok then I’ll starve myself…, come lets go…
Me: y should we waste food… come we ll have…
Jasper: u said u r full…
Me: but I don’t want to waste food…
Jasper: it ll not be wasted, ll give it to needy…
I just took one bite of makke Ki roti n put saag with butter n curd n put in his mouth while he was saying needy…
Staring at me he said please have Ur lunch… n I said u too… he was mood less n I said m sorry please don’t spoil Ur mood from now onwards I ll always keep Ur words… he said ok with half smile…
We both had lunch, we both were in car and he started driving and was asleep after having such a heavy lunch… I was almost asleep for 2.5 hours and he started the conversation…
Jasper: Miss Pearl (called 3 times)
Me: No answer
Jasper: Pearl… (Shaking my hand)
Me: uummm n took my hand from him…
Jasper: Pearl we are in Rajkot get up… (Raised the voice by bit…)
Me: ummm ok… (Stretching myself)
Suddenly waked up n I said “sorry the lunch was heavy and last night I was not able to sleep properly so…”
Jasper said “Its ok, drink some water n comb ur hair otherwise surely ur parent’s ll doubt on us…”
Me: What? Yes… Yes…
Jasper is laughing n m getting ready n we almost reached at my house… Jasper said wear to park? , Which house? … I showed him the direction n parked the car n he told me come out of car… I said “no m afraid…” he said… “Common don’t be childish, come out…” he took my hand n pulled me out… I’m staring at him… he said “now if u r able to walk we can enter the house…” I took off his hand and held towards the house…
