C10 In return
River woke up early because she was excited to tour the mansion with Julie, which became her first company inside the mansion. But as she was walking down the hallway she heard noises from the spacious living room so she walked slowly and she caught Spencer's staff busy with something. She was full of astonishment watching them, as she immediately saw Julie who was now held by one of Spencer's staff. So she quickly went down the stairs and approached Julie.
"J-Julie w-what's going on?" River asked Julie confused.
"Spencer R-river is going to sell us--"
"You shut the f*ck up! Woman, if you don't want to bury alive!"
They both looked at the source of the voice and they did see Spencer's walking bulk down the stairs as he adjusted the end of his long-sleeved. River immediately frowned at the man.
"W-why would you sell her?" The young woman asked Spencer without fear. Spencer smiled at her sarcastically and then patted his cheek.
"I don't need her like the women out there now!" There was no trace of Spencer's guilty response to River. River secretly swallowed while staring into the young man's eyes.
"A-what do you mean? W-why are you doing this?" No matter how nervous she looked, she kept being brave. Spencer suddenly grinned then passed River.
"Troy, come on," Spencer said to his butler. Troy immediately bowed and then followed his boss. Spencer's men immediately followed, dragging Julie by the arm. River easily followed them as they left the mansion.
"W-wait! W-stop! Please, release Julie!" River stopped Spencer's two men as she tried to reach Julie's arm. Spencer suddenly stopped walking in front of them but then slowly turned his head to River and devilishly smiled at her.
"We will release Julie but in return, you give yourself to me completely." There was no sign of conscience that Spencer spoke to River. The young woman was secretly swallowed and gradually sweated because of the surprising offer from the young man.
"Deal or no deal Miss River Madrigal!" Spencer's heavy pronunciation of the maiden's name. River didn't say a word right away, instead, she glanced at Julie so that she could feel sorry for her. She didn't want the replacement Spencer was saying but neither could her conscience see her friend being sold for someone.
"Ah-I agree!" She answered dejectedly with a trembling tone.
"I want you to say it loud and clear Miss Madrigal!" Spencer said sarcastically. The girl thought again as she closed her eyes.
'My father sold me. Why don't I just betray myself to the person who bought me? Then I can save my friend's life.' She whispered in her mind. She opened her eyes and boldly met Spencer's gaze.
"Yes, I will! But I have another condition!" Spencer grimaced in her words once folded.
"And you still have a condition. Okay fine! What's that?" He sarcastically says. River swallowed again and then looked at the young man without blinking.
"Let Julie go. Give her freedom, that lifelong freedom. Because when you do that I'll be yours forever and ever." She offers without a doubt. Spencer's face immediately became serious and then closed his eyes.
"You'll do everything for your friends and family that you consider ah' f*ck! All right, I'll agree. But you'll follow everything I ask you to do whether you like it or not."
He said with a devilish grin. River wanted to cry but he restrained herself because she didn’t want to look defeated and affected. She fought her fears to show that she was brave and that she could resist Spencer's strange behavior.
"Let her go!" Specifically, it is Julie.
He immediately commands his staff. They quickly released the woman Julie. Spencer slowly approached her and then patted her face.
"You owe your life to her woman!" He pointed at Julie and then passed her and approached River.
"Come with me now we'll sell the other woman." There is no trace of conscience in Spencer's tone. River first glanced at Julie and then smiled at the same time. But then finally pulled Spencer back to the mansion. River was not even able to say goodbye to her only friend here in the mansion so she felt very sad.
---
When they arrived at a large building, River couldn't help but be amazed by the beauty of the structure, but her admiration was immediately dispelled by the fact that they were not going here on occasion but at another auction where people were selling.
"What are you thinking?" River was slightly taken aback by Spencer's sudden questioning. So she looked up and he spoke looking at him.
"Why? I-if I say the contents of my brain can you answer anything?" She spoke sarcastically. Spencer grimaced in annoyance.
"No!" He timely responded with no emotion shown.
"See! Now you know." She had a short reply.
They continued walking until they finally entered a large and elegant room. There were already a lot of people, so they didn't go far and they just sat in the back. A waiter immediately approached them and served them food and wine.
"Eat," Spencer said with a command to River.
"I'm full." She had no emotional response.
"I said eat Miss Madrigal!" Spencer seems that there is a trace of his anger. So River did nothing but follow the young man's command.
She just eats quietly while she notices Spencer's steady glance at her which made her feel deprived. So she tries not to look at the young man.
It only took a few minutes and the Host spoke at the auction until they started beeding. River couldn't help but feel sad about what she witnessed, so she just bowed down and closed her eyes. She flinched when she felt Spencer's hand slowly crawling up to her thigh. So her eyes were fixed on Spencer's hand.
"W-what are you doing?" She asked frowning.
"Why are you rejecting me?" There is a threat to Spencer's tone. River couldn't speak yet instead she just let Spencer caress her thighs even though she could already feel the strange heat in his caresses.
"Be ready later," Spencer only said once he removed his hands from Rivers' thigh. River sighed, causing Spencer to smile sarcastically at her.
"Your getting aroused." He says sarcastically. River's cheek immediately turned red, causing her to bow down until the auction ended.
