"Where's Daddy?" Spawn asked River.

River immediately turned on her back where she noticed Spencer's disappearance behind them.

"Maybe he just took care of something Spawnie," was her only reply to the child, because even she had no idea where Spencer had embarked.

River and Spawn had dinner together until they were done, but Spencer still didn't show up at the table
