C4 Weak mate bond

While Ayla was eating, Nick was busily conversing with Nina. There was a tomato sauce stain on the side of Ayla's mouth. Damien used his hand to wipe the stain. When his hands came into contact with her body ,he felt sparks as if he was electrocuted. Ayla felt slight tingles in the pit of her stomach when Damien touched her. She kept staring straight into Damien's green eyes. She remembered her dad's words and felt it was weird to feel tingles in her stomach just by a stranger touching her. Ayla yanked Damien's hands away. “Thank you but don't touch me next time without my permission",Ayla said sheepishly. Damien felt sad and hurt by her words.

“Didn't she feel the sparks between us when I touched her",Damien thought. Nick could feel Damien's pain and mind linked him. “Dude she will come around, you will see"Nick tried to clear the air. “So what's your name?", Nick asked them. “I'm Ayla Anderson and that's Nina Edwards”. Ayla said in an indifferent tone. Damien smiled. “At least she replied" he thought. “Where do you guys come from?", Nick asked again. “Well I'm a local, I stay here but Ayla is from New York". Nina replied. Nick laughed.“I see, so Ayla is a city girl,it even shows from her attitude”,Nick said in sarcasm. Ayla was pissed but just kept quiet. “Don't you dare talk ill about my mate again", Damien mind linked Nick. “Yeah sure but that was the truth though”, Nick teased through the link.

“So what's your major",it was Nina's turn to ask questions. “I'm offering business management with him and we are not freshmen like you guys", Nick said smiling. “Really,so you are seniors I guess". Nina giggled. “You could say it that way", Nick smiled. “That's cool,so what's your name and your friend too",Nina asked Nick. “Well I'm Nick Jefferson and that's Damien Peters". Nick replied. “That's a nice name, nice to meet you Damien and Nick”. Nina stretched her hands to greet Nick. She quickly withdrew her hands when Nick held her hands to greet her back. “What was that about",Nina asked in confusion.

Nick raised an eyebrow with ‘I don't get you' look. “I think I felt something when you touched me". Nina pouted. “Would you mind if I speak to you alone". Nick asked unsure. Nina looked at Ayla for approval. When she nodded, she stood up and followed Nick.Nick dragged Nina to the garden infront of the cafeteria. “Hey can you explain what happened over there,are you a wizard or something". Nina asked with her hands on her waist. Nick laughed at Nina's expression and said with seriousness. “I'm gonna tell you something but promise not to freak out". He wanted Nina to be prepared for what he was gonna say.

Nina nodded. “Well have you heard about werewolves and their mates before", Nick asked. “Yeah I have heard from the locals that werewolves exist in this community but I haven't seen one besides I love werewolf's stories so I guess know what a mate is to a werewolf". Nina said. “Well that will make things easier for us",Nick said. Nina looked at him in confusion. “We are mates Nina, I'm a werewolf and a beta to Damien,he is the alpha". Nina stood there dumbstruck staring at Nick without blinking her eyes. “What's wrong", Nick asked worried. He got closer to Nina and she just giggled. “So it's a forever thing right, finally my dream has come true". Nina smiled. “Nick was confused with what Nina said. Nina smiled.

“I always wanted a mate like the ones in the werewolf stories despite the fact that I'm human". Nina said again.“Well I accept to be your mate Nick". Nina suddenly hugged Nick. Nick was unsure but soon hugged her back. He withdrew from the hug, and started trailing kisses on her. His eyes were filled with lust and passion. He backed off when they were short of breath. “That was crazy”,Nina said blushing. Her face was red as a tomato. “Nick does that mean Damien is also Ayla's mate",Nina asked. “Yeah he is but it seems Ayla doesn't feel the pull towards him". Nick replied.

"I feel sorry for him",Nina said. “Do you know Ayla's age?"Nick asked. “Yeah she is 17 and will be 18 in a couple of weeks." Nina replied. “Then that must be the reason why she doesn't feel the mate bond, it's weak",Nick said. “Weak mate bond, what does that mean",Nina looked at Nick for an answer. “When you are 18 irrespective of you being a werewolf or not you feel a slight pull towards your mate and it becomes stronger after the mating process". Nick replied in seriousness.

“Mating process like sex”,Nina asked. Nick laughed and nodded. Nina blushed. “I wouldn't do that unless you are ready, my cute little mate",Nick replied while stroking Nina's chin. Meanwhile Ayla and Damien hadn't talked since Nick left with Nina. “Is my friend going to be ok",Ayla asked. Damien smiled. “Yeah,she is in safe hands". They looked up and saw Nick and Nina walking towards them with their hands joined together. “That was super fast". Damien mind linked Nick. “Yeah she knows about us,it was easier explaining. How far with yours". Nick mind linked back.

Damien sighed. “She just kept a straight face after you guys left". Nick laughed through the mind link.“You have a stubborn mate,it suits you dude".Nick said again through the mind link.

Nina hurriedly sat down and whispered to Ayla. “I think I like him". Ayla looked at her in shock. “But you hardly know him Nina". Ayla replied. They didn't know Nick and Damien had powerful hearing and could hear them. “Just be careful Nina,I don't trust guys like them". Nina laughed. “Please we have to go for our next lesson,see you guys around later". Ayla said while dragging Nina from the cafeteria. “Wait!", Damien spoke all of a sudden. He walked towards Ayla. “Can I have your number?". Ayla nodded and typed her number on his phone. Damien smiled. “Not so fast, don't call me always else I will have no option than to block you". Ayla warned him. Damien laughed and nodded. They headed towards their next class in a quick pace.
