C11 Sudden end

"Thanks for the ride, Liam," Bernice said, finally outside the car and offering him a gracious, warm smile.

"Anytime, Bernice," Liam told her, his eyes loitering a bit on her for one last moment before he nodded. "Take care of yourself, okay?”

She nodded and waved after him as he pulled away. It had been nice, just a quiet dinner with Liam and talking about life. She did feel a little lighter
