C2 Change

"She died a few days ago."

Moo Ling heard her words. His hand, which was about to take a picture, stopped in midair. He murmured in disbelief, "She died?"

"Yes, she's dead." Su Sier said that Moo Ling's eyes did not leave Su Sier's face. It was as if he was trying to distinguish whether her words were true or not. Su Sier pursed her lips and spat out even crueler words, "She died of suicide."

Moo Ling finally took the photo. He stared at one part of the photo without blinking. Su Sier could not see anything from his face, but she saw Moo Ling's eyes were red and his hands were shaking. Su Sier heaved a sigh of relief. She knew she had made the right move.

Su Sier had been silent the whole time and stood quietly beside Moo Ling.

Moo Ling closed his eyes and waited for his emotions to calm down before putting the photo into his coat pocket. Then he turned his gaze to Su Sier. "You are?"

"Her daughter. Su Sier replied softly.

"Where is that person?" Moo Ling asked. His expression was very complicated, as if he had regret and hatred.

"He is also dead." It took Su Sier a long time to realize who Moo Ling was asking. She looked at the sky. It was getting dark. Her father was in deep sleep. She added, "I am an orphan now."

Moo Ling looked down and saw the big cloth bag in Su Sier's hand.

"Come with me."

Moo Ling turned around and led the way. He refused the help of the security guards. Su Sier followed behind him. Moo Ling's figure with the walking stick was slightly trembling. It seemed to be much older than when he just came out.

Su Sier observed the residential area absentmindedly. They were all independent villas. Each villa was separated by a certain space. There was a small garden in front of each villa. Palm trees and small fountains made the night more refreshing.

"Mr. Moo." Occasionally, people in the residential area would greet Moo Ling when they saw him. They would also look at Su Sier curiously. Moo Ling did not pay attention to anyone. He kept one hand in his pocket.

Moo Ling stopped in front of a villa near the lake. He walked to the door and placed his hand on the handprint identification device on the door. The door opened automatically and Moo Ling walked in. He seemed to have forgotten that there was someone following behind him. Su Sier did not care. She took two or three steps up the stairs and carried the cloth bag.

"Don't forget to close the door." Moo Ling turned around and told her. He turned on all the lights in the room. The room suddenly lit up.

"Okay."

The room was beautifully decorated. The main colors were black and yellow, and there were concepts of post-modern and high-quality living everywhere.

"I live on the first floor." Moo Ling sat on the sofa. He was a little tired. He pointed to the stairs. "You can choose any room on the second floor."

"Okay." Su Sier nodded.

Moo Ling slowly stood up with his walking stick. He walked to a room and ignored Su Sier.

Su Sier felt that Su Yi's death seemed to have dealt too much of a blow to Moo Ling, causing him to instantly age.

"Mr. Moo." When Moo Ling's hand was on the door handle, Su Sier called out to him.

Moo Ling turned his head. "What else do you want?"

"Mr. Moo, is there any food here?" She asked matter-of-factly. She was not embarrassed at all. She had come to find Moo Ling for the purpose. It was because he had something she did not have. She said, "I'm a little hungry."

"There's food in the restaurant. You can see the restaurant by turning right." Moo Ling was stunned and pointed out the direction to Su Sier.

"Thank you. Good night." Su Sier said.

When Moo Ling walked into the room, Su Sier walked quickly to the dining room. She took out enough food from the fridge. She ate very carefully and savored every mouthful of food. She did not know if she would be able to eat every day in the future. She had to remember these tastes.

She never asked the biggest question in her heart. What was the relationship between Moo Ling and Su Yi? Who was that baby? Su Sier knew her limits. She knew what she should say and what she should not say. She lived under someone else's roof. She had to understand the principle that she would be chased out at any time, so her curiosity was curbed.

After a full meal, Su Sier felt that she had come back to life. Her mood also became a little better. She began to clean the table. Put the plates in the sink. She looked at the dishwasher. She didn't know how to use it. She rolled up her sleeves. The wound on her hand was still hurting. The blood on the cloth had turned dark red. When she washed the dishes, she tried not to let her injured hand touch the water. Su Sier wiped the table a few more times. She stood by the side and looked at the dining room and the kitchen, just like before. She then picked up the cloth bag and left.

Su Sier walked very slowly on the stairs. This place that did not belong to her made her feel uncomfortable. Although Moo Ling was in his own room, At this moment, she was the only one here, but Su Sier still didn't dare to act rashly. It was as if someone was watching her from behind. She carefully walked every step, afraid that something would go wrong.

She looked around on the second floor and determined which rooms were bedrooms and which were not. She walked to the corridor and chose the innermost room. This gave her a sense of security that she would not be disturbed.

"Go away! Go away!"

Su Sier knew that she was dreaming. Blood, fall, Su Yi's body, and all kinds of things kept appearing. She was very scared and no one helped her. There was a monster chasing after her. She stumbled and fell. The crowd was laughing and she had nowhere to hide. She tried to wake up.

Finally, her eyelids suddenly opened and Su Sier suddenly woke up from her dream. She opened her eyes and looked at the blank ceiling. She was stunned for a long time before she could catch her breath. She did not know if she was frightened by the scene in her dream or not, but she buried her head in her knees and bent her body to sob. Her back trembled.

Suddenly, she got off the bed and rushed out of the room. She anxiously searched for something in the hall on the second floor. She rushed to the sofa, picked up the phone on the table beside her, and dialed the number with trembling hands: 1, 2, 0. The red light of the landline reflected her pale face.

"Hello, 120 Emergency Medical Center. Is there anything I can help you with?"

"There is gas poisoning here." Su Sier hugged her knees and spoke in a trembling voice.

The female voice on the other end asked urgently, "Please tell me the address."

"The intersection of X Street and X Street, number 304, on the first floor. The patient is a male." Su Sier could not bear to kill her own father in the end.

"Okay, we will send an ambulance right away. You stay calm. Open the doors and windows first and let the patient try to breathe fresh air..."

Su Sier also forgot what she said after that. She softly whimpered and felt her heart was enveloped by something called fear. She was very afraid.

Su Sier laid back on the bed and no longer felt sleepy.

Three years later.

Su Sier woke up early. She wore short denim pants and a white t-shirt with a big red flower printed on it. She had shiny silver high heels and her brown hair was tied behind her head. In the large mirror, there was a delicate and pretty woman. Her gestures made people want to approach her. Her beauty radiated from inside.

Su Sier returned to the precious nature of the Hetian Jade.

She carried a silver bag to match her shoes. The bag looked simple and pretty, with only two indented letters as decoration.

Su Sier looked at the watch on the wall. It was 7: 50. She pushed open the door and went downstairs.

"Mr. Moo, good morning." Moo Ling was reading the documents on the balcony as usual. Su Sier greeted him politely.

Moo Ling looked at her indifferently. "Yes."

After spending a few years together, Su Sier had more or less understood Moo Ling. He was very serious, and his words were short and concise. He pointed out the problem without mercy and hit the nail on the head. They had been together for so long, but Moo Ling had never laughed a few times. Perhaps when he laughed, she was not by his side at that time.

Moo Ling would visit the company every two days - Moo's Group.

He left most of the matters in the company to his assistant. He said that the real businessmen would make the best people work for them willingly. Su Sier felt that the reason why they worked so hard was because they had a good salary and bonuses. The Moo's Group had always been generous to their employees. Both inside and outside of the industry knew about this. Perhaps this was one of the reasons Moo Ling had succeeded.

The Moo's Group was a large company. It was an electronics, software, and construction company. They had done in-depth research on all three aspects and their results were pretty good. The company's performance was one of the best in the city. In the past few years, they had made it into the top 30 in the country. Most of the credit belonged to Moo Ling. He had unique views and was fast and accurate. He had been good friends with many company leaders for many years.

Moo Ling had a son. He was now in England. Moo Ling had almost never told her about his private matters. Su Sier had learned from the magazine that his son was called Moo Zilan. 13 years ago, Moo Ling's wife passed away. In the same year, he sent Moo Zilan, who was only 14 years old, overseas. He was alone ever since.

"Sir, Miss, let's eat." A middle-aged woman walked over and greeted the two of them softly. She was dressed in simple but clean clothes.

Su Sier and Moo Ling stood up at the same time. She smiled. "Mrs Zhang, morning."

The woman smiled and greeted her. She was warm and sincere. "Good morning, Miss." Zhang Yu was the clock worker here. She would come in the morning, noon, and evening. She used two hours each time to cook and clean.

Su Sier felt that Moo Ling did not like people who were not related to him going in and out of his house. He would rather hire a clock worker all year long than a nanny. Su Sier was very glad that she stayed by his side because of her relationship with Su Yi all those years ago.

Of course, her arrival also made many people in the neighborhood have topics to talk about after meals.

Delicious porridge, sumptuous side dishes, boiled eggs, standard Chinese breakfast. Moo Ling did not like western food.

Su Sier swallowed the food in one gulp. She looked at her watch again. 8: 10. She was going to negotiate with someone today.

"Nervous?" Moo Ling asked.
