C3 Chapter 1: Busy Morning

Ten meters away from the Marquez mansion is where the front garden rests, the blooming flowers were perfectly placed by rows and columns as they were molded into different shapes, yet creating an illusion of a plain snow field in a far distance, where barely a mistake of imperfection is impossible for a naked eye to spot.

The flowers were radiant in the morning planted from the rich and fertilized soil imported from the Capital of Shangwei. The hot breeze, rustle and brush through the branches of the trees in the corner, causing the rotten leaves to fall and flew away in one direction. With the identical height of the pine trees, it covered and over towered the high fences as it gave off a masterpiece like the nature's fine artwork itself, its fine shadows blending through the scenery.

The freshly bloomed white tulips blossomed without effort and the ends of its transparent petals stretched remarkably, lively and welcoming the fine weather in the morning as they glow under the touch of sunrays.

It's a magnificent scape to witness while sipping a refreshing cup of tea in the morning. Looking at such serene place will make you forget your troubles briefly and just enjoy gawking at the lawn.

The sun had just risen but the servants were strenuous and hardworking early in the morning, sparing no second of rest. Busy footsteps can be heard in every corner, vacuums roaring loudly, and low chatters filled the whole floor.

The head butler of the household had every process checked twice while running through every ounce of details in the preparation their heiress and young master needs in the morning. They made sure everything was perfect, but they could only rest their worries at ease when nothing goes wrong in such a lovely morning to start.

Meanwhile on the other side, far from the sight of the graceful movements of the house maidens was the large kitchen sealed in white walls with complete kitchen equipment and latest customized kitchen tools that every chef dreams to lay their hands on.

A man in black chef coat paired with white cotton apron fought with his co-chefs, arguing while running through the recipe of dishes that are considered as off boundaries to prepare or worst it'll cast a misfortune to whomever dares to serve these shouldn't-be-mentioned-dishes that are blacklisted due to their youngest master's hard to please taste buds.

He had long feared the young boy's merciless wrath in the house and doesn't want to be on his bad side further. Such incident will not happen again. Not under his watch and authority as he holds the highest rank inside the house kitchen. Another one wrong move and it will tarnish his whole reputation more.

"No, no, no, don't put salt in it! Ayayay, amigo. Start all over again!" The head chef carefully wipes the sweat emerging from his forehead with a clean and sanitized towel. He could only fathom to shake his head towards the newly hired young chefs who're supposed to be professional enough to work under his premises, but instead they were full of disappointment due to their lack of knowledge and experience.

They were no near his level with his ten years of experience and he knows very well their professionalism will falter once they step their foots here in the Marquez's kitchen without running through the list of dishes that were revised and blacklisted in the dining area. These new fools will only give him a head ache.

"Unless you want to be jobless, never put salt in it!" His roaring voice was loud and clear for the entire kitchen staffs to hear.

The butlers, moving in and out from the kitchen doors halt for a minute upon hearing his voice, but resumes afterwards for they do not want to delay a second for their preparation.

The scenery of the kitchen was in disarray, a state of mess that's a normal and pleasing sight to see in the kitchen such as the head chef who had worked in this four cornered room to continue pursuing his passion. It was much better than being in the kitchen of his owned restaurant in the capital.

The head chef had found himself smiling while his ears relaxed at the rowdy sound of meat against boiling oil, the ovens reverberating against each other, and the repetitive sound of knife slicing through various ingredients, creating a loud thud when it clasp against the top of the chopping board.

The luscious aroma of different recipes from different famous cuisines continues to escalate around the room and he roamed the large area like it was his own, passing from one counter to another, tasting their flavors and observing his subordinates' process of making today's dishes.

He would correct the mistakes he spots until it'll reach the description of brim perfection, making sure none of the dishes from the black notebook were serve for he doesn't want to lose another professional chef who had originally worked with him for years.

At the same moment in the harmonious and peaceful hallway of the third floor were a few maids standing side by side as they maintain their posture while they waited patiently outside the double doors of the locked bedroom, waiting for the heiress and her son to come out.

They could only glance around the tidy hallway trying to spot any specks of dust or stare at the plain wall, painted with the darkest shade of blue they had ever laid theirs eyes on with no single portrait seen in display. It was dull to look at in the morning, but not as much as it is when the night comes and the hallways were occupied with the screams of a young boy.

Butler yang ushered towards the large window at the end of the hallway, opening the red curtains wide for the sunlight to gain access, lighting and adding color to the lifeless space. The perfect view of the Garden with a large white gazebo in the corner greets his sight.

The running water from the circular fountain placed in the middle, inspired from the beauty of art in the classical era added elegance to this too modernized mansion.

There was a small smile imprinted in his lips, looking straight at the lively neighborhood from afar, where small frames of children can be seen running and playing in their front yards.

Now he wonders why this window was their young master's favorite spot and he knows the reason deep well.

His eyes glance down at the perfect view of the entrance of the house, where house maids are currently tidying, holding their individual vacuums to clean the carpet and a grey Bentley was parked a meter away from the carpet laid out with the heiress' private chauffeur waiting outside the closed door of the backseat.

No matter how their young master masked his intentions of staying by this window in his free time. He was still as every child is, waiting for the heiress' car to be seen in sight.

'Such sweet child should be protected.' Butler Yang thought inside his head, with his back facing the other servants, the maids failed to see the strong determination in his eyes, the determination to serve the young boy as much as his old body can handle.

Not wanting to ruin the merry morning. His head recalled the moment when the heiress summoned him to her study yesterday night. He couldn't be more ecstatic upon hearing the news. He was delighted upon knowing for sure how the young boy would react.

That excellent child had proved his unexplainable growth of knowledge and because of that his schedules for his classes would extend up to three hours maximum. Truly the heiress was considerate as the child needs to loosen up from the pressure at such a young age.

Her goodness and lovable warmth of a mother was everything their young master yearns for, though the boy sealed it as a secret to himself, his actions were obvious for him to see through. His obsession to his mother was clearer than his glasses as the heiress was the child's only weakness.

Butler Yang walks his way back towards the five other maids waiting with him in the front door. His smile concealed as his lips form into a thin line.

His keen eyes continue to study the movements of the newly hired maids who failed to gain his trust on the evaluation test. His favor has always been hard to acquire and it wouldn't simply be gained through words of pledge loyalty. Somehow he couldn't rest his heart at ease to these new and young faces.
