C0 Seeing him

This story takes place in Seoul, one of the busiest cities in South Korea—where everybody is trying to get their jobs done, and while others are trying to get a job.

Our main character, Jeon Jungkook, is the same as many others—just another face in the crowd. After finishing high school, he decided to not enter college, and look for a job at a corporate company.

However, no one was willing to hire an eighteen year old who doesn't have a degree or experience.

So Jungkook just kept job hunting—for months now—and today was no different.

Today, Jungkook got up at 6 a.m, and got prepared and ready for his job interview.

Jungkook left his parents' house, saying his goodbyes, and walked to his destination.

On the way there, he heard a cat's meow from the side of the road. Turning around to look at her, he cooed at the little kitten then decided to continue walking.

But just as he about to turn, he noticed the kitten trying to cross the road. Jungkook turned his head both ways and noticed a car coming. It was coming slowly, so he just stood in his place—rooting for the kitten.

Unfortunately, after a few heart-stopping seconds, the kitten stopped moving along. The kitten stood the middle of the road as the car was getting closer.

Jungkook glanced at the cat, then at the car, suddenly sprinting into the middle of the road.

Jungkook swept the kitten in his arms, then jumped away from the car's path, as the the driver made a massive u-turn.

Everybody turned around to look at the scene. 'Is this person crazy?'

"Are you freaking out of your damn mind?", screamed the driver of the car, trapped in an anger-induced rage.

"I am awfully sorry, sir." Jungkook said as he got up from the road. With the cat still in his arms, Jungkook started to bow.

"You better be thankful I won't report you," the driver said as he stormed off. The man went to check on his boss's car.

"Thank you sir, I am really sorry." Jungkook said, as he kept his head down.

The kitten purred and licked Jungkook's injured hand, as if like she was saying "thank you" and "sorry". Jungkook looked at the kitten and smiled.

"No worries, little one. We are both fine, but I guess my suit isn't." Jungkook subsequently looked down at his suit.

"I guess I can't go to the interview like this." Jungkook said, prodding at his bruises and the dirt in his clothes.

"But, I got to save a cute kitten like you so that is fine." Jungkook voiced, caressing the kitten.

But, as Jungkook was busy being cute with the kitten, he didn't notice someone staring at him.

Being one of the most successful businessmen in the city—in the whole country—wasn't as easy as people thought.

Let's take Kim Taehyung as an example; he owns one of the biggest corporations in Korea, having ownership to the executive management of hotels and restaurants.

At the peak of his career, he was just a simple entrepreneur dreaming big. He worked hard—tried and fought for his place in the economic ocean. He made his dream come true, scraping his way to the top in a desperate scramble. Taehyung is now where he's always wanted to be.

It took him seven years to make his dream reality. He started his business at the age of twenty-one. Currently, he is twenty-eight, which means he simultaneously holds the titles of the youngest and most successful businessman in South Korea.

In those seven years, Taehyung forgot about love and about the existence of it. He truly couldn't care less about it, considering his focus on making his ultimate goal come to life.

With Taehyung only caring about his business more than he should, he grew to be cold and aloof. The man distanced himself from others, thinking the grubby bottom feeders wanted to take advantage of his status—something he learned from a past experience. The utter devastation led him to become a cold-hearted person.

Taehyung was sitting in his car, speaking on the phone. His chauffeur is driving him to an urgent meeting at a rival company. After the negotiations were completed, he was planning to get back to his office—an attempt to work more.

Suddenly, the car made a huge turn, which made Taehyung drop his phone, the screen clattering on the ground with a loud smack. With a irate grumble, he turned to the driver to ask what happened.

"What was that?"

The driver glared out the window, and stated that there was a careless teenager running in the middle road. Bowing from his seat, he then excused himself to scold the reckless boy.

Taehyung agreed silently, then grabbed his phone, briefly noting that the screen of his dropped device had cracked extensively. The phone call that he was in had ended long ago.

Taehyung leaned back into his seat, hearing the angry snarl of his driver and a boy's soft voice. As the window was open and he could hear everything clearly, he curiously peeked his head out of it.

He was absolutely stunned. There was the cutest creature he ever saw in his life. They looked so adorable—so precious.

It was a little black cat with blue eyes. The kitten looked so cuddly. (One thing to note is that Taehyung was an animal lover—especially of cats and dogs—as he owns a dog by himself.)

When he was done cooing at the cat, he had finally noticed that someone was holding the it. His eyes trailed up long fingers and muscled arms, broad shoulders and a long neck. He looked up at their face, and he was as awed as he was when looking at the cat. This was extremely rare, since Taehyung usually thought everyone was normal looking—not cute.

His view changed to a man screaming at the person holding the cat. It was his driver. Stuck in a state of mild surprise, he made a deduction that this boy was the careless teenager.

He is cute, considering. That was weird. Nobody had ever been cute in his eyes—except animals, of course.

After staring for a few glorious minutes, he noticed some injuries on the teenager's hands and on the cat, and a little dirt here and there. These minor details caused them to look endearingly charming, making Taehyung want to squish them into his arms—aching to heal both of them. But, that was not important; the important thing was that his driver was scolding them—the adorably angelic creatures.

To stop the situation from escalating, he called his driver using his broken phone (which surprisingly still worked), and told him to examine the car for any damage. With this, he was able to stare more at the two angels in question.

After a few minutes, the teenager left with the cat, and with them, so did his source of joy. In his euphoric haze, he called the driver to continue driving to the long forgotten meeting.
