"Something's out here," Kara said, her voice calm but laced with concern. She could almost feel the presence, an atmosphere in the air that made the hairs on the back of her neck stand on edge.

"Back away from the opening," Donovan instructed, his tone leaving no space for dispute. "I'll check it out."
