C44 Trapped in the Wild
Qin Huai stood where he was and watched Su Jiale leave, until she disappeared from his sight.
The autumn wind was slightly cool. The maple leaves that were dyed in frost danced in the evening sky. It made it hard to tell which was the leaf and which was the sunset. Qin Huai reached out his hand to pick up a leaf in front of him, burying it under an ancient tree that reached into the clouds. It was as if he was burying his lost love.
When Su Jiale returned to the villa, it was pitch black inside.
Bao Jinyu was really busy. Compared to him, he was living a leisurely life.
Su Jiale walked into the room and felt a chill down her spine.
The water flowed down from the lotus head. Su Jiale raised her head to let the water wash her face as much as possible. It was as if this could take away her worries. She recalled what Qin Huai had said to her from the bottom of his heart when she was in the park during the day. She had to admit that she still loved him. However, there were some things that she would never be able to turn her head back if she missed them.
Her own psychological trauma, his filial piety... These were all contradictions that couldn't be ignored between them.
Su Jiale shook her head and tried to dispel these chaotic thoughts from her mind.
The clock in the living room rang ten times. Su Jiale was the only one in the huge villa. The shadow of a person on the ground was long and lonely.
"Sorry, the user you are calling cannot answer for the time being. Please dial later. Doo Doo Doo... A mechanical female voice came from the phone.
"What is Bao Jinyu busy with? Why isn't he answering the phone?" Su Jiale sat on the bed and complained to herself.
Suddenly, she thought of Chen Yuan. He followed Bao Jinyu every day.
She picked up her phone and took out her contact book, then dialed Chen Yuan's number.
"Hello, is that Chen Yuan?"
"Yes, Madame." Chen Yuan's attitude was as respectful as always.
"Where is Bao Jinyu?"
"Director Bao is overseas on a business trip. He will probably be back in a few days."
"Why didn't Bao Jinyu say anything to me before he left without saying anything? He didn't even pick up my phone just now." Su Jiale vented her resentment on Chen Yuan.
"I'm sorry, Madame. It was my fault." Chen Yuan panicked when he heard the dissatisfied voice on the other end of the phone.
Su Jiale blushed with shame. What did this have to do with Chen Yuan? Why would he apologize for Bao Jinyu?
"Madame, why are you looking for Director Bao? "Chen Yuan finally understood that Madame must be looking for the boss for something.
"It's nothing. I'm not in a hurry. I will tell him personally when he comes back."
In the evening at the park, Su Jiale did not really leave. She walked to the end of the street corner, turned a corner, and walked back to the park from another path.
She saw Qin Huai standing there in a daze, not moving at all.
Ever since her grandfather passed away, Su Jiale's side had been constantly in trouble. All kinds of things happened one after another. Now, she also officially bid farewell to Qin Huai.
At this moment, Su Jiale was the only one who lived in the huge villa. She felt a trace of loneliness.
Since she already knew the cause of the matter, then the agreement that she signed with Bao Jinyu became meaningless. However, she was not sure if Bao Jinyu would agree to cancel the agreement. He was not someone she could afford to offend.
However, the agreement itself was very unfair. At that time, she misunderstood Qin Huai because of Qin's mother's words and wanted to take back the company. She could only compromise and sign an unfair agreement. Now that the times had changed, Su Jiale felt that she was really stupid. She was willing to do this kind of unfair business.
The next morning, the mottled sunlight shone on Su Jiale's face, making her open her eyes and get up early in the morning.
During breakfast, Su Jiale received a call to invite her to be a judge for the piano competition outside of town. She had been busy with her own matters recently and her work had been delayed for a long time, so she agreed immediately.
The competition did not take long. After Su Jiale packed some luggage, she took a plane to the city where the competition was held.
Although the teenagers on the stage were young, their piano skills were not bad. Su Jiale felt a sense of relaxation that she had not felt for a long time as she watched them perform on the stage in a daze.
The nervous competition soon ended. On the last day, she and the other judges and teachers gave out a video of the teenagers who had won the award.
"Master Elder Su..." A tender voice sounded beside Su Jiale's ear.
It turned out to be a young lady who was eleven or twelve years old.
"Little friend, what happened to you?" Su Jiale touched the little girl's smooth face and said kindly.
"Master Elder Su, I have always liked you. May I ask if you can give me an autograph?" The little girl was a little shy, and her cheeks were red and adorable.
"Of course you can." Su Jiale took the album from the little girl and signed her name on it.
Su Jiale looked at the Croatian man on the cover and knew the difference between herself and these piano people. She even felt ashamed to think that she, an ordinary person, actually had a small admirer.
On the way back, Su Jiale took the boarding pass and went to the bathroom to put on makeup. Suddenly, a person rushed out from the door behind her. Su Jiale did not have time to dodge before she was knocked unconscious.
When she woke up, she felt a headache. She touched the spot where she had been hit and the solidified blood froze on her hair. Su Jiale looked around at her situation - a small, tightly shut, and empty room, a tightly locked iron door, and a small window that was so small that no one could escape.
Could it be that she had been kidnapped?
Su Jiale was shocked. Although her family was rich, it was not to the extent where the kidnapper was willing to take the risk of the law to kidnap her!
"Help! Is there anyone!?" Su Jiale shouted for help from outside the window, but it was quiet all around, as if there was no one around.
There were more than no passers-by here, even the kidnappers who kidnapped her did not want to stay in this desolate mountain.
Su Jiale saw through the window that this house was in a forest. There did not seem to be any signs of living around, and there was not even a person guarding her.
The room was empty and Su Jiale could not find any way to escape. It was just that she discovered a pattern. Every time it was mealtime, there would be a person wearing a headset who placed the food on the windowsill.
Su Jiale quickly confirmed that the person who kidnapped her was definitely not for the sake of money. Which kidnapper had this kind of patience to provide food and drinks for her? In television dramas, whenever someone was kidnapped, they would call for ransom.
Then was it to take revenge on her? But it had already been a day, they could not even see a shadow other than delivering food. How did this look like revenge? Furthermore, he was only a piano teacher. What kind of enemy would treat him like this? Even Lu Xianglan's conflict with him had long ended.
Su Jiale was puzzled and confused for a week. During this period of time, she thought of all methods, but doing anything was all in vain. There was nowhere to run.
