C10 Has She Gone Crazy?
Knowing this would upset her, I never expected her reaction to be so intense. Yih Tianxi stumbled down the street, not watching where she was going, nearly getting hit by a speeding car. Luckily, Loong Yujun arrived just in time to pull her into his arms.
"Tianxi, are you out of your mind?" Yujun's voice was cold and filled with anger as he held her tightly, as if trying to merge her into himself. He scolded her without holding back. "Running across the street like that—are you trying to get yourself killed?"
When he saw the car rushing toward her, his heart nearly stopped. In that moment, he felt a fear he had never experienced before—the fear of losing her.
Tianxi struggled in his embrace, her voice full of resistance. "Yujun, let me go! I need to get to the Su family. I have to find Su Heng!"
Hearing this, Yujun's eyes darkened, and he pressed his lips together before saying, "Alright, I'll take you there."
When Tianxi arrived at the Su family home, only a lone guard remained. She rushed inside, not noticing Yujun's forlorn expression. There was nothing—everything related to Su Heng had been cleared out. She couldn't even find a single photograph.
She ran to every place that held memories of Su Heng—the living room, kitchen, bedroom, balcony, garden—hoping to hold onto something of him. But the image of Su Heng in her mind grew increasingly blurry. The harder she tried to remember, the quicker the memories faded. She collapsed to the ground, feeling utterly drained.
"Don't worry, I'm here," Yujun said softly, seeing her kneeling there. His heart ached as if pierced by a needle. He knelt down beside her, pulling her into his arms with a gentle voice.
His embrace was warm. Yih Tianxi lay against his broad chest, breathing in his fresh, masculine scent and listening to his steady heartbeat, which made her feel safe.
"Wow..." she suddenly burst into tears, her sobs filled with endless sorrow, as if she needed to release all her emotions. Her tears quickly soaked through his shirt.
Loong Yujun's face tightened slightly, unsure how to comfort her. He just held her, letting her cry it out.
As time passed, Tianxi's cries softened from loud wails to quiet sobs. When he noticed she had finally calmed down, Yujun looked down at her.
Tianxi had fallen asleep in his arms, her delicate face still marked with tear stains. Her eyes were slightly swollen and red, and her fine brows were furrowed with sadness.
Yujun gently cradled her with one arm and carefully lifted her with the other, making sure not to wake her from her hard-earned sleep.
He softly laid Tianxi on the bed, removed her shoes, and pulled the blanket over her.
After stepping away briefly, he returned with a bowl of warm water and a towel. He gently wiped away the tear stains from her face, then gazed at her sleeping form with a deep, thoughtful expression.
