C11 Sleeping
Long, dark hair spilled over the pillow, highlighting her skin, smooth and white as ivory. Her slightly swollen eyes didn't detract from her beauty; instead, they added a touch of vulnerability that tugged at the heart.
Loong Yujun sighed softly, his slender, fair fingers gently smoothing her furrowed brow. He leaned down and whispered in her ear, "Sweet dreams, Tian."
Meanwhile, at Loong's Group.
Ho Ning, Yujun's secretary, looked up in surprise as a woman stepped out of the elevator. "Miss Lu, what brings you here today?"
"Hello, Secretary Ho." Lu Jiameng strutted over in her high heels, nodding with a hint of arrogance. "I'm here to see Yujun. Is he in the office?"
She had heard the moment he left the military base. Initially, she intended to play it cool and wait for him to reach out, but days passed with no sign of him. Growing impatient, she decided to come to the office herself.
"If you're here for the CEO, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed," Ho Ning replied politely. "He hasn't been in the office lately. He's been managing everything over the phone."
"What?" Lu Jiameng's eyes widened, her tone sharp as she pressed on, "What has he been busy with?"
"I'm not sure of the specifics. If you want to know, you might want to call him directly," Ho Ning suggested calmly.
Lu Jiameng shot Ho Ning a resentful look before turning to leave. Just then, two office workers exited the elevator, whispering to each other, "I heard the CEO's been at the hospital taking care of some woman. Wonder if it's a new flame?"
"Who knows? Miss Lu might be in for a shock," one said, glancing up to see Lu Jiameng. They froze for a moment before quickly scurrying away.
Lu Jiameng clenched her fists tightly, feeling both heartbroken and furious, yet she forced herself to stay calm. It was only after she stepped into the elevator with composed steps that she muttered through gritted teeth, "Oh, you, Loong Yujun!"
When Yih Tianxi woke up, she found herself in an unfamiliar room and was momentarily dazed. Frowning, she recalled that she must have cried herself to sleep. The image of Loong Yujun's handsome face and broad chest flashed in her mind, causing her cheeks to flush.
On the bedside table lay a set of brand-new clothes. After freshening up in the bathroom and changing into the clothes, she opened the door and headed downstairs.
Hearing the movement, Loong Yujun set aside his documents and looked up at Tianxi on the stairs. His gaze deepened, and a gentle smile played on his lips. "You're awake. Come down and have breakfast."
She wore the white dress he had specially picked for her, looking both pure and noble, exuding an astonishing beauty. She seemed like a fairy stepping out of a painting, captivating and ethereal.
Her long, black hair cascaded like a waterfall down her back, her skin smooth and delicate like fine porcelain. Her dark eyes were as deep and enchanting as ancient wells, and her small lips were as luscious as ripe cherries.
Tianxi found herself momentarily stunned as she looked at Loong Yujun. He sat at the dining table, his straight back forming elegant lines. He wore a simple white shirt, yet it looked unexpectedly good on him, making him appear like a prince from a fairy tale—noble and graceful.
