C15 Kiss

When Yujun finally let her go, Tianxi's hands slipped weakly from around his neck, and she collapsed against his chest, breathing heavily. Yujun gazed at Tianxi in his arms, his eyes growing even deeper. Her eyes, usually clear and bright, were now misty and shimmering with moisture.

Her fair skin was flushed, like a vibrant sunset, making her look even more captivating. Her small, red lips glistened with a subtle sheen, appearing more alluring than ever.

Yujun tightened his hold on her, then sat her down by the dining table. He picked up a piece of bread and brought it to her lips, his voice a bit husky as he said, "Have something to eat. You didn't have dinner last night, so you must be hungry now."

Tianxi didn't take the bread with her hands; instead, she opened her mouth and began to eat directly. The movement of her enticing lips made Yujun's body tense, and his eyes darkened slightly.

Tianxi didn't want to leave Yujun's side, so he stayed with her, watching TV all morning. It wasn't until she took a nap in the afternoon that he gently slipped his hand from hers and stepped outside to make a phone call.

"Hello, Director Lin? I'll be bringing someone over tomorrow at 8 a.m., and I hope you can personally conduct the examination," Yujun said in a low voice.

After receiving a positive response, he returned to the room, placing his hand back in Tianxi's, a hint of worry in his eyes.

Her sudden dependence on him made him inexplicably happy, but her abrupt change was unsettling. Just yesterday, she had been desperately searching for Su Heng, and now she was so close to him. It didn't seem normal at all.

The next day.

Tianxi looked at the hospital in front of her, her expression full of resistance. She gripped the seatbelt tightly, refusing to get out of the car, her voice trembling slightly as she said, "I don't want to go in!"

"Why are you taking me to the hospital? I'm not sick!"

"Tian, calm down. I know you're healthy, but you just got discharged and need a follow-up check-up," Yujun said, noticing her slight tremble and feeling a pang of sympathy.

He gently stroked her head, his voice soft and reassuring. "Tian, don't be afraid. I'm right here with you, and I'll stay by your side. Let's go in, okay?"

His dark eyes were filled with warmth and affection, and Tianxi felt her fears melt away as if by magic. She obediently unbuckled her seatbelt and followed him into the hospital.

Throughout the examination, Yujun stayed by Tianxi's side, letting her hold his hand tightly and offering comforting words. Only then did Tianxi manage to complete the check-up calmly.

Afterward, they waited in the director's office for the results. Tianxi leaned her head on Yujun's shoulder, resembling a contented kitten.

A while later, Director Lin entered with a stack of papers, pausing briefly as he glanced at Tianxi, his expression a bit troubled.

Yujun understood and started to get up, but Tianxi clung to his sleeve, unwilling to let him go.

Her dark, bright eyes looked at him pleadingly, as if she might burst into tears at any moment. Yujun felt a wave of tenderness.

He pointed to the balcony and gently coaxed, "Tian, don't worry. I'm not leaving you. I'll just be over there talking to the doctor, and you'll be able to see me the whole time, okay?"
