C3 Persuading Her
In the room, Tianxi seemed oblivious to the sounds from outside, her gaze tenderly fixed on the photo frame she held, her fingers gently tracing its edges.
Upon hearing that Tianxi had locked herself in her room, refusing food and drink, Yujun rushed over. After offering a few comforting words to Lin Qing, he approached the door, his voice cool and tinged with a hint of anger, "Tianxi, open the door!"
He had promised Su Heng he'd take care of her, and he couldn't just stand by and do nothing. When there was no response from inside, a flicker of determination crossed Yujun's dark eyes. He stepped back, braced himself, and forcefully shouldered the door until it gave way.
The curtains were drawn tight, casting the room in a gloomy shadow despite the daylight. Yujun frowned, adjusting to the dim light, and quickly spotted Tianxi huddled in the corner. With a stern expression, he strode over and pulled her to her feet, his voice firm and unyielding, "Tianxi, come with me!"
"Let go of me!" Tianxi struggled fiercely, glaring at Yujun with eyes full of contempt. "Get out of my sight! I don't want to see you!"
Her disdainful look hit him like a punch to the gut, leaving a dull ache in its wake. His lips pressed into a thin line, his expression growing colder as he met her gaze. "Tianxi, if you come out and eat, I'll leave right away."
"What does it matter to you if I eat or not?" Tianxi snapped, kicking Yujun's leg in frustration. "My life is none of your business! You're not anyone to me, so why do you care?!"
"Why?" Yujun gripped her arm tightly, his dark eyes filled with coldness. "Because Su Heng entrusted you to me before he died!"
"You're lying! Su Heng isn't dead!" Tianxi seemed provoked by Yujun's words, abruptly shaking off his hand and shouting with agitation, "He promised he would come back and marry me!"
As she spoke, she clutched a photo frame to her chest, a faint, wistful smile appearing on her lips as she murmured softly, "See, Su Heng is right here. He's always been with me."
"Tianxi, snap out of it!" Yujun looked at her, feeling an unusual pain in his heart, his voice cold and tinged with anger. "Su Heng is gone. No matter how much you deny it, he can't come back to you!"
He knew how cruel his words were and how much they would hurt her, but he couldn't stand by and watch her deceive herself any longer.
"That's impossible! Su Heng is right here. Why are you cursing him like this?" Tianxi shouted angrily, glaring at Yujun with wide eyes. "Get out! I don't want to hear you speak!"
Yujun frowned, quickly walking to the window and pulling the curtains open, letting the bright sunlight flood the room.
Then he suddenly snatched the photo frame from Tianxi's hands, his dark eyes filled with restraint. "Tianxi, look closely. It's just a picture!"
