C5 Chasing Her out of the House

Since Yujun's last attempt to persuade her, Tianxi stopped refusing food, though she ate mechanically, as if it were a chore. She spent her days clutching a photo of Heng, sitting in the garden or her room, appearing like a mere shell of herself.

Yujun's dark eyes flickered, his stern expression growing even more tense, but he remained silent.

"This can't go on!" Lin Qing said, tearing her gaze away from Tianxi and turning to Yujun. "Yujun, I can see you truly care about Xi. I have something I need your help with."

She lowered her voice and shared a few words with Yujun.

Since Xi came to the family, her kindness had won Lin Qing over, and she loved her like a daughter. Seeing her like this now was heartbreaking.

The next day.

"So, you're the one who caused Heng's downfall!" Lin Qing approached Tianxi and slapped her hard across the face.

Tianxi, caught off guard, turned her head from the blow. She didn't cry out, just slowly turned back, blinking as if seeing Lin Qing for the first time, and said blankly, "Auntie, is something wrong?"

Lin Qing looked at the red mark on Tianxi's pale face, feeling a pang of guilt, but her voice remained cold and filled with disdain. "Tianxi, stop pretending to be innocent. The master already said you were the one who brought harm to Heng!"

"Alas, alas, this girl is a jinx, destined to bring misfortune to all her family!" declared an old man in a robe nearby, holding a whisk in one hand and stroking his beard with the other, looking at Tianxi with a grave expression.

"Mrs. Smith, you must get this girl out of the house immediately, or disaster will strike!"

"Who is this charlatan, daring to spout nonsense here?" Tiffany heard the old man's words and found them utterly ridiculous. She frowned and retorted without hesitation, "You'd better leave quickly if you know what's good for you, or else..."

"Tiffany, how dare you be rude to the elder!" Before she could finish, Linda interrupted her. "You've been an orphan since childhood, and I pitied you for it. But I never expected you to be such a jinx, even causing harm to Henry!"

"Tiffany, get out of the Smith house, and don't ever let me see you again!"

Tiffany looked at Linda in disbelief and hurriedly tried to explain, "Auntie, how can you believe this fraud..."

But Linda wouldn't listen to her explanations. She snatched the photo from Tiffany's arms and ordered someone to throw her out.

"No! Auntie, give Henry back to me!" As the photo was taken away, Tiffany became agitated.

Linda gave her a cold glance and said indifferently, "You caused Henry's death. You have no right to hold his photo!"

Tiffany tried to step forward, but the servants held her back and dragged her outside. She struggled fiercely, but it was all in vain.

Tiffany was thrown heavily to the ground, her body aching instantly. She ignored the pain and hurriedly got up, but the door had already closed.

"Auntie, open the door!" Tiffany pounded on the door, the wounds on her hands reopening and staining the bandages with blood. She didn't care, only crying and pleading, "Auntie, let me in. Believe me, I didn't cause Henry's death, I really didn't!"
