C3 Michelo
Michelo was nervous while rushing back to his home. Kristines scent wafted off of him in waves from the hug he received. A combined scent he had never smelled before in his life, clung to him like a small child clung to their mother. Cinnamon spiced apple cider with just a slight taste of strawberries, and it invaded his senses. Stopping right before the tree line stopped, he contemplated rolling around in the woods before heading back to the mansion. He stood there, thoroughly confused at the meeting between him and Kristine. The events of the day played through his mind. He begged his father to let him run through the woods that morning at breakfast. His father reluctantly obliged warning him not to go outside the terrirory. Jumping up after breakfast, Michelo took off towards the woods. Running rampant, he caught a scent that was unfamiliar and followed it. He came across a girl, walking towards a little pond, and followed her as quietly as possible. He was right on the edge of the border of the territory, but he was intrigued by this girl. As he got closer to her, he watched as she fell. He chuckled quietly to himself and shook his head. 'This girl wasn't paying attention at all.' All his instincts told him she was a Hunter's daughter, but he approached her anyways. Her scent drew him closer before his mind could stop him. It reminded him of his mother baking and making different concoctions for him and his father to try.
"Oh, Prince. There you are." A familiar voice approached from behind him, throwing him off. He jumped and spun around to see one of the sentries popping out from behind the nearest tree. "We've been looking all over for you. Are you okay?"
Michelo took a couple steps back, not wanting the sentry to pick up the scent of Kristine. He put his arms up and out from his body.
"I'm fine. Thank you. I just got distracted by the wildlife and lost track of time and where I was at. There are a lot of interesting creatures to see when traveling through the woods."
The sentry laughed. "Yes, that's true. A young girl is quite a spectacle to see wandering the woods by herself." The sentry winked at him. "I followed you. I apologize for the intrusion Prince. There were some sightings of rogues near the border. I saw you passing by it and I wanted to make sure you were and stayed safe." He tossed Michelo a change of clothes, and walked towards him, patting Michelo on the head. Michelo looked up at the sentry, thankful for his discretion.
"You're secret safe with me, Prince. Just a word of caution. She is a Hunter's daughter. Be wary. Please mind link me and let me know when you both are going to be meeting up tomorrow. I will be there to protect you both. The names Marcus. I know how it feels to be young, and I also believe that you are going to be the reason for a lot of changes in the future. I'd rather know you are completely safe and risk my life to protect you, Prince. Promise me, you will let me know when you venture out tomorrow?" Marcus looked down at Michelo, a smile crossing his face.
Michelo smiled, nodding his head at his new friend. He felt he could trust Marcus with his life and noted that when he got older, Marcus would be an essential part of who will become. Marcus nodded back, rubbing Michelo's hair and walking out of the woods. Michelo quickly changed his clothes, keeping the clothes with Kristines scent within close proximity of him. As quickly and quietly as he could, Michelo took off towards his secret entrance to get to his room. Until it was time to acknowledge Kristine's existence to his father, he was going to keep her a secret. Making his way to his room, he put the clothes in a wooden toy chest near his bed.
Michelo rushed out of his room and towards his fathers chambers, where a maid said he would be at. As Michelo approached, he could hear his father arguing with someone. Sniffing the air near the room, he realized it was Jacoby, the most ignorant man he had ever met in his life. Michelo walked up towards the door. Straightening his back, he knocked. The arguing stopped for a moment when he heard his fathers tone of voice change, realizing Michelo's scent was at the door.
"Come in, son." His father's voice bellowed from behind the closed doors. Michelo pushed the large, mahogany doors open and entered his father's chambers.
"Good, he's finally here. Now we can discuss the Rogue situation."
