C2 CHAPTER 1

This was why you need to believe that good things will definitely happen. PEOPLE, LET ME TELL YOU SOMETHING! I finally met my true friend in middle school. Her name was Lulani. She's as old as me. As time went by, our friendship grew. Now, I have 4 best friends and a boyfriend. Before moving on, let me tell you how I met my first and closest friend among others.

Flashback

It's already January and that means a new semester. For me, it's a new adventure in middle school. I survived elementary school after transfering to 3 different private schools. Tomorrow, I will be a middle schooler at Arlo Middle School. It's one of the prestigious private schools in the USA. And I would make sure that I survived in this school no matter what. MARKED MY WORDS PEOPLE! However, deep down I was scared shitless that the same thing in elementary school would happen again.

“Hey, T. Do you think I will survive this time?” I asked my personal assistant, Terra. She’s one of my support systems, besides my parents. My parents were not your typical rich parents who loved to ignore their children because they're busy. My parents really showed me their love and not just with money, but they would make time and have family time. Let's just say every week, we went to a restaurant or a mall. As for Terra, she's the one who helped me with everything. Kind of like my sister.

“You're gonna be alright, A. My guts tell me you're going to have a friend this time.” Terra answered with determination.

“What if I don't?” I asked it like a sore loser. Heck, where did my confidence go? I was usually positive and confident. But, maybe deep down I was traumatized.

Terra looked at me like I was an alien. She shrugged, then said “Well, it's their loss to miss out on being a friend to this amazing girl. Now, shush, stop overthinking and go to bed. You have to wake up early tomorrow. And we all know that you're gonna be so cranky in the morning if you sleep less than 8 hours.” She ordered me like I was a baby.

I gave Terra my sweetest smile I could form. “What are you talking about? I've always been a sweetheart every morning.” I said innocently.

Terra just rolled her eyes and mumbled “Whatever. We'll see tomorrow.” Then, she waved at me and got out of my room.

—————————#####—————————

“FUCKKK.” I was screaming at the top of my lungs. My alarm was blaring happily beside me. Thank God I didn’t have a heart attack. It was already 6 AM and I had school at 8 AM. Why couldn't school start at 10 AM or 12 PM? I was too lazy to get up until 7 AM. Luckily, Arlo Middle School was near my house. I slowly got up, took a bath, wore my make ups, chose my outfit, and went to have breakfast. By the way, this time I went undercover as a nerd girl and asked my parents to hide my identity. Yesterday, I bought a black wig, glasses, and brown contacts. It’s totally different from my original appearance. I had blonde hair and blue eyes. Good undercover, righty right?

“Good morning, A. The chef had just made you a pancake with strawberry.” said Terra cheerfully. Why was she so cheerful in the morning? “Wait a minute, what have you done to yourself? Why are you wearing that ugly wig? What happened to your clothes and why are you wearing contacts?” She bombarded me with tons of questions.

“Thank you, T.” I grumbled while eating the pancake. “As to answer your question, so people won’t know me as Azura Star. I want a fresh start and known as Azura. People won’t be jealous of me anymore, so they won’t bully me again. By the way, I just wear baggy clothes. Don’t overreact please.” I nearly had a breakdown. That baggy clothes was supposed to cover my curve. Boys tend to get so touchy with me when they see my curve without my consent. What a disgusting pig!

Terra looked at me with a sad expression. “Azura, listen to me. This is your first day as a middle schooler. Forget about the past and I know it’s not easy. But, you have to let go otherwise you can’t strive. I believe good things will happen in your lives. Go have fun as much as you can at school. Be yourself and don’t mind the people who bully you. Promise me will you?” she said with a serious expression. I knew deep down she must be really worried about me, but she kept strong in front of me.

I exhaled loudly to show her how annoyed I am at the moment. “Fine, I promise you Terra. But, I keep this undercover and hide my identity. You can’t force me since I already made up my mind.” I waved at her and went to school.
