C1 Not enough food

"After her!" Lia ran down the street as the cook from a nearby restaurant chased after her. Once she thought she lost him she decided to take a break in an alley. "It's a child..." A voice suddenly startled her, she put all her strength in her legs and did a perfect flip, she landed perfectly on the tall thin fence. She finally mastered it! but now wasn't the time to celebrate. She spotted the person who spoke "Who are... Oh, it's just a kid" Relief flooded through as she wiped her short black hair off her face. His golden-colored eyes glared at her "I'll let you know, I'm almost 14." She looked him up and down, hm he seems to be a rich kid. "Hey kid, got some food?" She jumped off the fence and landed silently. He smelled nice. The kid took a step back "H-how dare y-you c-call me kid!" His cheeks and ears seemed to turn slightly red, was he perhaps catching a fever for being in the cold too long? She lifted his black hair and touched his forehead "Are you perhaps getting a fever?" His eyes widened and he left running. Huh, what an odd kid... Well, there goes my chances for more food.

Ryan arrived home "Your Highness! We told you not to wander off on your own! His Majesty the King would have my head if something happened to you!" He glanced at the butler. "I'm alright now, aren't I? No need to fret Delmore." A maid came and took his coat as he settled in the resting room. 'kid' he couldn't believe that child called him a kid. No one in his 13 years of life had ever called him so blatantly or touched him without permission. She even sniffed him, how rude.

"Your Highness?" Delmore's voice suddenly interrupted his thoughts "Did you say something?" "Yes, would you like me to prepare you a bath?" The butler seemed quite tired "I'll do it myself, go back and rest, you've had a long day." The Butler's tired expression turned to admiration and gratitude "Your highness is so merciful and thought..." Ryan interrupted him before the butler could go on with his praises "Go before I change my mind and assign you more tasks." Delmore was gone in a blink of an eye. He couldn't help but chuckle. Ryan headed to his study, took out a few books, and sat at his desk.

Suddenly the girl's dark grey eyes flashed in his thoughts, it seemed the young girl from earlier was skilled in martial arts... Was she perhaps a spy!? She made no noise while jumping or walking. Almost as if she was floating, every move was swift and graceful.

He should look for her again.

*Sigh* opened the door to the empty cabin, and suddenly a chill ran down her spine. She reached into her coat and retrieved a pretty blade she had pickpocketed from someone earlier. Ever since young she had always had very keen senses, she needed to survive and change the fate of her's and her friends in the orphanage. She stepped in and immediately felt a person watching her from the left corner of the room. "It's you." He chuckled " What are you? a dog?" The person stepped into the light revealing a young man. "You thought you could shake me off so easily?" She turned to face him. "It seems I underestimated you." She took off the bracelet that was keeping her disguised. Suddenly her short black hair began to grow back to her waist and turned silver. She felt herself growing back to her original height. " Your beauty never fails to surprise me." she glared at him " If you'd like to keep that tongue of yours intact..." he interrupted her. " Feisty as ever I see. Seems you've been doing well without me." She glanced at him " I never needed you in the first place Tin."
