C3 Chapter-2 Her Darling

Closing my eyes I only see him; his laugh, his smile, his smirk and his face which I can’t forget in my life.

When there was no one to take care of me, he stood beside me like a rock and took care of me like my parents, Even when I faced mental breakdown remembering the death of my parents as losing them made me an orphan. I couldn’t bear the torture given by my adopted parent’s relatives. With the help of the person whom I respect so much l ran away from my parent’s house. They took everything from my life.

He also betrayed me like them. But his betrayal cut me deep and left a scar in my heart which I can’t forget.

Why God?

Why me?

What did I do to deserve this?

Why did he do this to me?

Please God don’t let my past affect my future.

I can’t live with past hovering over me.

I want this burden to leave my heart which is becoming heavy day by day.

I can’t bear this pain. Sometimes I want to end my life but whenever I think of it that person comes in front of me.

Giving me a reason to live my life.

His one smile gives me million reasons to live.

He is the reason of my life.

My chain of thoughts was broken by the ringtone of my phone.

“Hello,” I answered without seeing the ID.

“Hey darling!” I heard the very sweet annoying voice of Aryan making me laugh.

“What?” I asked annoyingly.

“I know baby you’re thinking about me. Don’t worry I am coming and I think you miss my company.” I could imagine his smirk.

“Yeah and Yes I missed you like hell baby,” I replied extra sweetly making him laugh.

“I know you’re having problem in sleeping. You can’t sleep without anyone beside you and we’re sorry for not being with you. I will come tomorrow morning and please don’t think anything about past and think about the years we three spent together and I hope now you will get nice sleep,” He said making me smile at his concern towards me.

What to do? His love for me never changes.

“Aryan I am fine, okay and don’t come without finishing the meeting and please enjoy yourself. Don’t think about me.”

“Ok mother but please take care of yourself. I will arrive by tomorrow evening, good night, bye.”

Idiot will always remain an idiot.

I hope he never changes for anyone.

After talking with him I feel good. I am alone right now because everyone left for doing different work.

Sanju aka Sanjana went to her friend’s house and she will return tomorrow morning.

I can’t forget the days when we enjoyed pranking, teasing and laughing at each other. They are the best days of my life after him leaving me.

Why can’t I forget him?

My every single thought starts and ends with him.

I can’t forget him because my heart still beats only for him.

Yes I loved him.

I will love him.

And I will only love him.

His picture is captured in my heart and it can never be erased.

He is the reason of my broken heart.

I can’t forget that but I can’t stop loving him.

With these thoughts I drifted to sleep.

“Maira,” I heard a familiar deep husky voice making me come out of my dreamy land.

“Yes.” I turned my face to see him; his face is not clearly visible but his voice is giving me goose bumps all over my body.

Wake up….wake up…

The sound of my alarm broke my sleep.

Why did I have this dream now?

What intuition is God giving me for future?

I am not getting it.

Hope, I have a peaceful life!

Shit! I’m late.

I hurriedly made my way to washroom, did my morning chores and took a quick bath changing into a grey colour shirt with shorts.

“Rama Aunty, Breakfast,” I shouted checking my watch. Still have twenty minutes to reach there.

“Coming ma’am,” She said bringing my breakfast.

“Did Sanju arrive?” I asked serving myself some pancakes.

“Yes Ma’am, Sanju Ma’am is sleeping.”

“How many times do I have to remind you aunty? Call me Sam, not Ma’am. Mom will only be called as Ma’am, not us,” I strictly ordered her.

“Okay Ma’am, I mean Sam,” she replied stuttering making me laugh.

“Inform Sanju to meet me in office at 2’o clock for lunch,” I said finishing my breakfast.

I moved out of the house and sat in the driving seat. I started my journey to the banquet hall where I have to make a few changes.

I parked my car in the parking lot and walked towards the hall where my team was waiting for me.

“Good morning Tanya and Shyam,” I greeted them. Both wished smiling at me.

“Shyam I asked you to change the entrance with red flowers and white paper lanterns,” I reminded him imagining the beautiful colour of light lanterns.

“Everything is done ma’am!” He replied smiling.

“Okay, please don’t disappoint me. Did you check the stage? I still feel we are missing something,” I queried taking a glance of the stage.

“I won’t disappoint you ma’am. I will check the stage and inform you.”

“What is my schedule Tanya?” I asked frowning.

“Ma’am today you have a meeting in the evening at 4’o clock with Mr. and Mrs. Mathew. At 6’o clock with Mr. Tushar Singh and Ms. Tanuja Bhatia.”

“Tanya get me a coffee,” I ordered checking the flowers of the stage which were looking so beautiful.

I quickly got up and called Shyam.

“Yes ma’am.”

“Shyam place the red laser light fountain near the entrance.”

“It will be done Ma’am,” He replied.

After that I went to the office to check details about Mr. Mathew’s son’s marriage. Then I heard a loud bang on the door to see the devil of my family entering in my office.

“Hey Sis,” she wished hugging me tightly.

“Hey little one,” I replied kissing her forehead.

“I am not little, okay! “ She reminded me frowning making me smile. My baby sister.

“Yeah, you’re not but for me you’re my little one,” I replied pulling her cheeks.

“Ahh! It’s paining Sis,” She whined.

“Okay, I called you to ask that whether you informed about your relationship status to Mom and Dad, especially Aryan.” Watching her face I could clearly say she didn’t say anything to them.

“Why are you silent?”

“Sis, help me. I can’t bring myself to say anything about him,” She replied fidgeting with her fingers.

“I will help you in getting Mom and Dad’s permission okay,” I replied laughing at her.

I am waiting for her next request.

“What about him? He will kill me, you know that,” She replied scaring herself making me laugh at her.

“Sis you’re laughing at me,” She cried making me laugh more.

“Okay, I will take care of him also. Happy now little one?” I asked smiling at her.

“I love you Sis, Thank you so much.” She jumped excitingly hugging me tightly making me laugh at her craziness.

“What about his family?” I asked frowning.

“They don’t have any problem meeting with our parents but I am scared about their reaction. I am afraid Sis,” She hesitated and I can see little fear in her eyes.

Don’t worry little one, I will make sure you will get married to the love of your life only.

“Don’t think too much. I will take care of everything and listen, Aryan is coming today. Let’s plan something for him,” I said changing the topic not wanting to see her gloomy face.

“Monkey is coming, I have a super surprise for him,” She clapped excitedly making me curious about her plan. I could see mischief in her eyes.

“You don’t plan something stupid, okay. If you do then I won’t stop myself from smacking your head,” I threatened.

“Fine,” She replied dejectedly.

Lunch went with lots of smiles and laughs.

After that I had the meeting with Mathews who wanted a church wedding for their son. I wrote down the details of the wedding and guests’ list, decorations and everything. Wedding was going to be organised here but reception would be held at Delhi in the upcoming week which I’d have to attend to take care of everything and reception party was going to be held in the Oberoi hotel.

Next meeting was with Mr. and Mrs. Singh’s son and daughter-in-law who wanted to have a beach wedding. I took every single detail of their views and demands. Wedding was going to be held at Goa.

Completing meeting with both the customers I instructed my team members to note down every detail and not to miss anything.

After discussing with them I left for my house and made my way to see the most disastrous sight of my life.

Everything was messed up and things were misplaced from their former place.

“Stop it both of you right now,” I shouted glaring at both of them making them bow their heads in shame.

They were whispering to each other at the same time making me shut my ears because of their fights.

“Stay there both of you, don’t move,” I bellowed.

I stared at the hall to see it changed completely, when I left in the morning it was clean and neat but now it was a complete mess. It would take two hours to clean the mess.

“I want this place to be neat and clean. And people time starts now, Be careful before keeping foot on the glass pieces,” I instructed making my way towards my room because there were so many glass pieces present on my way.

“Sis”

“Darling.”

They both called simultaneously making me give them the look that conveyed ‘complete and then speak’…………………..
