C8 Darren Wanted to Sleep with His Aunt.

Renee entered the room and made herself a cup of brown sugar water. She rubbed her slightly aching belly. She really didn't understand why she had been so impulsive yesterday.

Just as she picked up the cup and drank a mouthful of water, Ronny's phone rang. "Grandson, why did you call me so many times last night?"

"It's best if you die early. When you think of me, it'll be too late."

It was rare to hear her retort. Ronny coughed and said seriously, "I had something happen last night. I'm still in the hospital. Didn't you call me to ask about you when you woke up?"

Renee, who was lying on the table listlessly, instantly perked up when she heard that he was in the hospital. "What happened to you? Could it be that it's..."

"What are you thinking about? It was just a small car accident. It's nothing serious."

"Alright, alright. Which hospital are you at? Dad will go and see you."

Ronny was even more sarcastic than her. He had offended many people and had no friends.

It was quite pitiful for him to be hospitalized alone.

She was kind enough to visit him.

Renee drank the cup of brown sugar water and felt her stomach warming up. She took a hot shower before slowly leaving the room.

It was already noon when she arrived at the hospital.

Ronny was sitting on the bed, flipping through his script. His feet were wrapped into a big dumpling, and his face was ashen.

"You're so injured?" Renee placed the fruit she bought next to him and sat down to peel an orange. "Can we continue with the filming?"

Ronny placed the script on the bed and said in dissatisfaction, "It's just a scratch."

Renee didn't believe him. "How could a scratch be so serious?"

Ronny could not be bothered to explain. He looked at the orange in her hand and fed it into his own mouth. His temples could not help but twitch. "Are you here to see me or to eat?"

"That's right, sorry, sorry." Renee said and quickly stuffed a piece of orange into his mouth. She sighed, "Let me ask you something."

"Here."

"If there is a handsome man with a good temperament, who looks like he can squander you to death, he would say that he wants to marry a married woman and is willing to wait for her to divorce. Is it because this woman is too charming?"

Even if she thought that she was thick-skinned, sharp-tongued, and vicious, it was still impossible for her to marry a married woman.

There were so many people who were thicker-skinned than her.

Ronny glanced at her and said with disdain, "Are you sure it's not because of that man's brain?"

Renee thought for a moment and slowly nodded. "It's not impossible."

The air behind them instantly cooled down.

Renee sneezed and was about to turn on the air conditioner when she realized that the man who was the center of their conversation had already stood behind her.

It was time to test her acting skills.

Renee looked around as if nothing had happened. "Ah, is the air conditioner broken? I'll go find someone to fix it..."

She had just taken two steps when someone grabbed her wrist.

At that moment, the orange in Ronny's mouth almost spurted out.

Harlan lowered his eyes and looked at the woman who was trying her best to calm down. His thin lips parted slightly and his voice was as cold as ever. "Are you better?"

"Okay... I'm better."

Actually, her body was just too cold. She had just lost her fluid and taken a glass of brown sugar water, so she didn't feel much.

Ronny could not stand this strange atmosphere anymore. "Can I interrupt?"

Harlan released his grip and sat down on the sofa.

He was naturally calm, but the atmosphere in the ward gave him a sense of oppression.

Ronny glanced at the two of them and suddenly realized something. He said in shock, "Could it be that the woman you were talking about was you? That man is..."

Renee ran over and covered his mouth. "Your injury is a little serious. Don't talk too much and drink more water."

Ronny used all his strength to push her away. His eyes became more and more suspicious.

Renee knew that this was not a place to stay for long. He found an excuse and quickly slipped away.

After she left, Ronny looked at the cold man on the sofa. "You really want to marry her?"

"Why not?"

"..." The corner of Ronny's mouth twitched. "I'm married."

"I know."

"Then why are you still..."

Harlan's voice was as cold as ever. "When the marriage is over, you can leave."

Ronny felt that he could not keep up with his rhythm. He pressed his temples and said, "Didn't you just meet yesterday? Love at first sight?"

"No."

"Then why did you marry her?"

"Suitable."

It seemed impossible to get any useful information from him. With the principle of being friends for many years, Ronny couldn't help but advise him, "Just give up. She will never divorce."

Harlan was silent for a moment and asked, "She likes that man?"

"No."

"Isn't it a form of marriage?" Harlan's thin lips were cold as he tapped the leather sofa with his fingers. "Since it's a form of marriage, why can't she remarry me after getting divorced?"

Ronny was at a loss for words.

Harlan was a man of action. He would never change his mind.

It seemed that he could only offer Renee a memorial tablet in the future and pay respects to her when he had nothing to do.

...

After coming out of the hospital and standing under the sunlight, Renee finally felt the cold air on her back disappear a little.

She took a deep breath and was about to leave when a soft little bun threw himself on her lap.

Renee's mood instantly improved when she saw him. She squatted down and rubbed his curly hair. Her voice was filled with surprise. "Little cutie, why are you here?"

After asking her, she remembered that her father was here. It was not strange for him to come.

"Darren heard that you were sick and insisted on coming over." A cold male voice came from behind her. Renee was startled.

She quickly stood up and asked in surprise, "Me?"

"Yes."

"Didn't you tell him that I left in the morning? If I didn't come to see Ronny, wouldn't he have come here for nothing?" Renee felt her heart ache. She didn't care that the cold-faced god was still standing behind her. She immediately hugged Darren into her arms. "Little baby, I know you care about me, but it's so uncomfortable in the hot weather."

Darren hugged her neck with both hands. There was a faint smell of milk on his body. He said softly, "Little baby, I miss you."

His face was already pink from the sun. Renee carried him to a shade and wiped the sweat off his forehead. She brushed his hair away and felt her heart ache. "Do you want to eat ice cream?"

Darren nodded sincerely.

There was a stall selling egg rolls and ice cream nearby. Renee took a step forward. "Boss, do you want..."

She almost forgot that the cold-faced god was also here.

Should she buy one for him?
