Lily took in a deep breath. Suddenly, as if she had thought of something, she gently spit out the word 'rose'.

"The woman he loves is a rose." It was as if she was afraid that I couldn't hear her clearly, or as if she was reminding herself that she was repeating herself.

"Didn't you say you didn't want to talk about her before?" I faintly said.
