C5 Brothers and Questions

"You don't want me to bathe you?" Aldrin asked, his dog ears drooping and his clear ocean eyes teary.

Kana nods her head in agreement. After feeding her, it's time for her to wash up, and because she isn't healed, he is scared she'll be strained. But her adult mind isn't happy with the idea of showing her young body to an adult male even if it's her brother.

She looks around for the maids. If anyone were to help her take a bath, it had to be the maids, right?

Atlas chuckled, and with it, Kana heard a juvenile existence. Something that seemed to her was charming. She looked up at him and saw him smiling. He ruffled her hair and gently said, "Do you want me to call the maids instead? You don't want this ugly blonde touching you, right?"

Kana smiles at him, and albeit her being ignorant, she was actually too adorable for her brothers' hearts.

"All right, all right." Atlas pipes, but before he turned to call them, he shifted his gaze at Aldrin and with a serious tone, said, "Tell me you won't entrust her medicine to other people."

"I won't."

"Don't let it out of your sight." Atlas said before walking away from them. After a few moments, two maids came in and led Kana to another room within her large bedroom.

Upon entering, her eyes magnified. The bathroom was nothing short of stupendous! She felt like a princess. The maids were doing all the work, showering her body with rosy pure milk and even going as far as wiping and dressing her.

To have been reborn as a rich young lady, she must have done a lot of good in her past life.

"You don't want to sleep with your older brother too?" Aldrin asked again, his face disheartened as if struck hard by pain.

Kana grumbled inside. First, bathing. Now, sleeping together? She couldn't comprehend it. She had never slept with a grown man as a child. That's just not something she had experienced being an only child. But she'd be lying if she said she never wanted a sibling. An older brother at that. And Aldrin did save her from near death.

So, she bit her lip and stared at her feet. She reached for the hem of Aldrin's clothes and shook her head, wishing that would be enough for him to understand.

And understand, he did. Aldrin beamed at the child's coy gesture. He picked her up and embraced her.

Atlas, who has been watching the scene unfold, interjects rowdily, "Hey! That's not fair! I also want to sleep with her."

"You'll have to wait your turn." Aldrin said as he begins to walk out of the room, "Besides, I think our little sister prefers a clean brother to a messy one."

Before Atlas could object, Aldrin is out the door and on his way to his room. Kana has finally laid eyes of the place outside her room, realizing that she is in a mansion. What better word is there to describe the wide wings of the building? The extravagant chandeliers? The large, spacious rooms and the expensive furniture? Everything in the place just confirms her conclusion.

Aldrin stops inside a generous set of doors. He opened them and Kana thought blood was going to spurt out of her nose from the sight. It was twice the size of her room and ten times the fancier!

But more than that, she noticed rows and rows of books in his numerous shelves, which means that one of those has got to give her information on her situation. Aldrin sits her on a chair in what looked like his study table. Opportunity comes rushing in as she sees a scroll and several books lying on it.

"Wait for me here, Ara. You can play here until I come back." Aldrin nuzzles her cheek before entering another door. Kana figures it to be the bathroom.

As soon as he's gone, Kana ran her tiny hands through the table and held the scroll, her heart thrashing madly. She stood on the chair and began reading the thing. For a while, she thought the words would be difficult to read after having the body of what looked like a seven year old child, but fortunately, her eyes were able to keep up.

It's a map.

She scanned it, and discovered it to be of a country. She continued examining the map, her ice blue eyes darting fast.

Until she stopped.

The country isn't part of the world she recognized in her past life. Beast Land, it said. Surely, Earth didn't have any nation with that name. She knew some that fit the idea but part of her already knows it to be impossible that she's in any of them.

Her fingers were shaking as she closed the map. She then glanced at the books and started pulling it open. They were about rules. Laws. She knew because she was a lawyer and the writings were clearly detailing the process of passing a law.

House of Commons. House of Lords. King's Court. They were easy enough to comprehend but weren't the things she needed. She browsed three more books. Then walked to the shelves and retrieved more. She read and inspected them as fast as she could.

But the information she wanted is too elusive.

She opened and pulled quite a number of books, creating a mess on the floor. Still, nothing. Laws. The intricacies of politics. And then as she was turning the pages of one book, she found history!

The book is about history.

She began reading. It says that the Beast Land is a country of beasts constituted by four different kingdoms, namely, the Red Tail Kingdom, the Amazon of Felines, the Kingdom of Heights, and the Azmouth Kingdom. The last one is a society ruled by royalty and made up of wolf beasts.

'Wolf beasts?', she asked.

Then, that must mean her dog ears and tails are actually a wolf's. Her mouth dropped open. So she's a werewolf? She has been reincarnated as a werewolf?

She didn't know if she's going to cry or laugh at her new life. She's joyful of being alive again. But then, did it have to be with ears and tail?

Although she can get used to being a young aristocrat. But did it have to come with an abusive mother?

Yet, she does have three older brothers! And two seem to dote on her. She sighed, feeling lost and weak. She rested on the chair and rubbed her temples. And before any more perusal could be achieved, her eyes closed themselves and slept.

Aldrin found her adorably defeated on the chair. He chuckled at the sweet sight and then carried her to his bed. He watched her small face for a while until his mind drifted into his plan to protect her.
