C1 Obsession

I met Caleb and Lacy when Noah introduced me to him at a party at his house one weekend. He stared at me with his deep dark brown eyes the whole time we were at the party. I know Noah and Caleb are friends and that they work together, but there was something about him that I couldn't quite put my finger on.

When I went to sleep last night I couldn't help but dream of Caleb with his dark eyes and long dark hair. I don't know what's wrong with me. I've never been so obsessed with a man. Even while I was dating Noah I was never this obsessed with him to where I memorized every single detail of him let alone dreamed of him at night. In my dream, I was back at the party where Caleb was staring me down when I got out of my chair when I started taking off my clothes as I walked over to him where I rode him as if I was on a pogo stick. I woke up the next morning literally disappointed.

Noah and I seem to spend every weekend at Caleb and Lacy's house. Lacy and I are only a year apart in age, so we get along. The guys could almost pass as brothers, they talk and act alike. The only difference is that Noah is older than Caleb. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to bother Caleb, because I feel he likes me more than just friends, he keeps giving me subtle hints like. "I would like to get some of that strange," and "Why did you marry an old guy?" But it's not just what he says that has me believing this it's that he is always staring at me along with putting his arms around me. Don't get me wrong, I'm deeply in love with Noah, but, dammit, there is just something about Caleb that burns deep into my soul, unlike any other man that I have ever met. Could Caleb be my soulmate or is my sweet and loving husband Noah? It doesn't really matter. I'm happily married to Noah and Caleb is married to Lacy.

After four months of harmless flirting it went a little further. Noah, Caleb, and I were hanging out in Caleb's garage and when Noah went to get his drink from our pickup Caleb started to touch me in all the right places until Noah returned. When Noah was fixing a speaker for Caleb I hinted to him. "We should get together and play one day," Caleb turned around and said "I don't think Lacy would like that,"

"But would you like that," I asked him. Caleb couldn't answer since Noah called for him. He turned back to me, winked, then shook his head "No,"

It's ok, he can turn me down this time because I'm not one to take "No" for an answer plus I always get what I want sooner or later.

It’s so funny to see the jealousy all over Caleb's face when I hug and kiss Noah or when I am paying attention to other guys instead of him. It doesn’t really make sense to me because he is married to Lacy, who would love to have all of his attention. He even tries to make me jealous by flirting with other women while staring at me with a big smile on his face to see my reaction which is always the same me laughing at him along with an eye roll.

Caleb and have a mutual friend named Jack. Well, Caleb has actually known Jack a lot longer than I have which in this case is very helpful. So Jack is the perfect person to ask to help me. “Hey Jack I need your help with something,” I asked him as I saw him sitting in Lacy’s living room. “Sure, what do you need help with sis,” He replies as he gets up to give me a hug. “I need you to help me to see if Caleb is jealous of other guys flirting with me and why, since he isn’t my husband,” I pleaded with my best pouty face.

“Oh, stop with the pouty face you know I will help you,” He laughs. “So what do you have in mind?”

“Well, I figured that we would flirt with each other and see if he gets jealous,” I said as I explained my plan. Jack gave me a curious look, then said. “We will only do it when he isn’t looking, so it will be fine,” I explained to him.

I head back out to the garage where Noah and Caleb are still working on the speaker. “You guys still haven’t fixed that speaker yet,” I joked. Caleb turned around like he was fixing to say something back, but Jack came into the garage and he reached over and grabbed my butt. Caleb turned to look at Jack as if he wanted to rip his head off. Jack being the crazy, carefree guy he is, looked at him laughing then asked. “What do you want me to grab your ass to Caleb,” As he walked toward him acting like he was going to grab his butt. With just one look from Caleb Jack stops dead in his tracks. Even Noah stopped laughing, I stood by the garage door completely scared after seeing the look on his face go from sweet and caring to evil in a heartbeat.

“I think you need to leave Jack,” Caleb growled at him. “Never grab my ass or Hanna’s again got it or you will never be allowed here again,” Jack nods his head in understanding as he heads for his pickup. It wasn’t long before my phone pings letting me know that I had received a text from Jack saying. “There’s your answer pretty lady,”

“Thank you,” I sent back.

I guess I did have my answer, it was clearly evident that Caleb was jealous of me flirting with other men along with other men flirting with me. He didn’t like Noah, my own husband flirting with me. Noah just saw it all as harmless picking from friends.

With this newfound knowledge, I decided to have a little harmless fun and give Caleb the cold shoulder to see what he would do with me not talking to him. No more flirty talk at all. I would do just small talk that’s all but I would still talk to Lacy and everyone else. Unfortunately, my plan didn’t seem to work when we went to see Caleb and Lacy the next weekend. Caleb didn’t seem to notice or care that I wasn’t speaking to him, let alone acknowledge that he was there. Only Noah seemed to notice that I wasn’t talking to Caleb. “Okay, what’s up, did Caleb do something or say something to you to piss you off,” He asked on our way home that night. “ No, he didn’t do anything to me, I’m still upset with the way he treated Jack last weekend. When all Jack was doing was joking around, that’s all,” I explained.
