C2 THE SLYLY EX

I snapped my eyes open to look at the whole people present.they aren't much though.

My boyfriend ,his parents and his two sisters who never liked me were sitting together at the left side as the glare at me ,

There's fire and threat emitting from their eyes especially their mom .'What did I do now?Is this not what the want for me ,to marry the old man?.Why are they threatening me now?

I ignored them and looked at my right to see the younger sister of my boyfriend smiling hugely at me.The way she smiled and look at me, is like that of a proud person. She has been the only one that genuinely loves me and she tried to stop me from signing my parents property to his brother but oh! i never listened.

But her smile right now is creeping me out .Why would she be proud of me when I did nothing worth to be proud of.

I ignored her and other guest which are mostly close family and friends and some unfamiliar faces I assumed to be from the groom side.oh,I mean my husband to be side who are all frowning and glaring at me .

'If you all want to marry him ,please change place with me.mitchew.You all think am happy marrying my daddy.'

I ignored all of them and turn to look at the old man am getting marry to .But the disgusting look he gave me when our eyes met throw me off and I hurriedly look away.

'Haa,what with the look ?what did I do?If I disgust you why then did you accept to marry me .You should have just reject the deal.And all these people glaring at me please,kindly exchange place with me.mtchew. '

"Miss,may I know your reasons please?."The priest voice brought me out of my troubled mind.

"um...what do you mean father?Am sorry ,I don't get your question. "I answered confusedly.

"You rejected the marriage, so,I want to know your reason."

*Oh .Did I say' no'out loud? I thought it was in my imagination. No wonder everyone is creeping me out with their gaze.*

"Were you forced to be here or threatened?"He asked concern written all over him"You don't have to be scared now dear,just voice it out and I will make sure the marriage won't take place."the priest proposed.

Ofcourse ,I am being forced to marry the old man but I can't say that out.Even though the priest has the power to stop the wedding but can he stop what would befall me after it.

If I should accept the priest help and stop the wedding courageously will my courage save me from what is to come after that.

'One shouldn't play with fire.Is it not better to be save than sorry?'

"Um..um..the thing is....."

"YOU BETTER.DONT.RUIN. THINGS. FOR ME"A familiar voice boomed in my ear which I recognize to be that of Leonard my boyfriend.

I looked over my left shoulder to see him glaring at me with a clenched fist ready to strangle me if the wedding didn't hold.

But wait,how we're he able to yell that on my ear?

Oh!silly me.he had put a bug in my ear when he came into my room earlier.How did I forget it?I should have taken it off.

I took a deep breath and face the priest.

"I'm sorry father,that I said no in reply to your question. I don't mean to and I have no excuse for it .I know that my reply gave a wrong idea of the whole thing.Am just nervous and excited to be getting married. I guess my nervousness pushed me to give out the wrong answer .Am sorry."I explained hurriedly.

Rejecting the marriage is a wrong move when I don't have any plan or place to go.

"Does that mean ,you consent to this marriage whole heartedly. "

"Yes."

"And you're ready to take this man Raymond as your lawfully wedded husband?"

"Yes father."

"Then join your hands with his and pledge your vows.

We did as instructed and said our vows .it a good thing that the priest read out the vow while we second because I don't even have any good word in my heart to say .

After the vow,he pray ed and blessed our marriage asking God to direct and full our hearth with love blablabla .

After everything we worn the ring which the priest said is the symbol of our love.

HURRAY! am married.*Note the sarcasm.

If there's anything I should be grateful about ,the fact the priest didn't ask us to kiss.At least ,he was considerate enough to skip that part.Which I appreciate.

"Let's go. or are you going to stand here all day?"A masculine unfamiliar voice said to me .I snapped my neck to the direction of the voice to see my Dad.Oops I mean husband looking at me irritatedly.

I nodded but before I could take a step,my boyfriend mum Tessa (Theresa)popped out of no where."Congratulations mr Raymond.Am sorry for my daughter's stupidity earlier.please forgive her."She said glaring at me.

"Mother is right ,my little sister can be stupid most time but she's a good girl.Very humble ,she listened to all instructions and obeyed them blindly. So you see ,she would make a very good wife to you."My boyfriend atone to his mother's word while back hugging me and robbing his lower body on my butt.

I try to shift but his hand on my shoulder and stomach held me firmly stopping any movement.

Shameless,the man is so shameless.

"Um..Leonard right?"My so call husband called.

"Yes of course mr Raymond. do you have a problem with memory that you won't be sure about my name again."

"You can't possibly blame me.Can you?"

"Ofcourse not.It is old age."Leonard said jokingly.

Although he said it in a joking way but the mocking behind it didn't go unnoticed.

"Not really.i just don't bother in knowing things that meant nothing to me."He mocked backed.

His reply throw everyone off especially Leonard who didn't expect such reply from him.And he didn't bother hiding the mockery ,he made it ovious.

The man sure is sassy,he isn't an Easy man anyone can toil with.He might be old but he isn't a weak old man.

'Impressive .'

"Anyway, I just wanted to tell you to move away from my wife.I don't like other man touching what belong to me."

"Hahaha. Oh come on mr Raymond, are you this possessive that you can't let me touch my sister again.She's leaving with you and am going to miss my little sister.Wont you miss me ?"He asked looking at me as he added pressure on his hand which he placed on my shoulder making me wimper in pain .

Tears blinded my eyes but I try not to make it fall.

To others he's hugging me but it isn't so ,he's squeezing the life out of me.

"Mmmmm.Tell me won't you miss me "

"And why should she?are you her lover."Leonard younger sister Reins asked suddenly making Leonard flinch and immediately shifted away from me.

Knowing his sister she can do anything she want and damm the consequences. unlike me ,she isn't a weakling.

He knows well enough not to mess with her .
