C12 Chapter 12

Siddharth's POV

I didn't know why I kept thinking about Shruti. I wanted to throw every thought of her out of my mind.

Are you sure you wanted that?? You were very happy to see her just a few moments earlier.

No !! She is so boring, stubborn and irritating. So I am planning to enjoy the dancing.

Liar !! You were missing her... Wanted to play Holi with her.

But she doesn't want me. So I don't want her too.

All of a sudden, I saw shubh standing in front of me with a furious face

and he placed an arm around Vidhi's waist.

How dare he?? But I controlled myself as I knew they had feelings for each other.

I could see that he was very desperate to talk to her she was also shocked by what he did. I thought it was better to leave them alone to solve their issues.

I looked around to see where was Shruti... And saw that she was leaving the party.

No!! I can't let her go...

I ran towards her and caught her hand. She tried to push me away, while I was trying to talk to her.

I had enough of this so I pulled her to the other side of the dance area. This place was less crowded. I tried to explain but she said she didn't want to talk to me.

" But you never heard my side of the story. You need to give me a chance."

" Don't act as If you care..."

" I do, you know that. How many times have I tried to explain everything to you but you blocked me out of your life and your social media accounts. "

" Yeah, I can see how much you care... Even here you are flirting with girls." She rolled her eyes and said.

" Hey, hold on... When was I flirting with any girl?? "

" Why?? just now with Vidhi and those two girls. "

" Are you crazy?? Vidhi?? Which two girls??"

" Leave me alone... I hate you." She said.

Those words felt like molten lava to my ears.

I wanted to talk to her but It seemed that she was about to cry. So I decided to let it be, but I could not leave her alone there or let her leave on her own so, I pulled her to where everyone was.

I saw Shubh and Vidhi and called Vidhi so that she could tell her about our relationship but Shubh caught her hand and it seemed that he was about to kiss her.

He was not in his senses due to the consumption of Bhaang so I had to stop them from doing anything, they might regret it when he is sober later on.

I went near them and said, " Vidhi, I need to talk to you. "

" No, get lost, before I punch you. " Shubh said glaring at me.

" Vidhi, I am going home. " Shruti said.

" Shruti listen... You can ask her if you want. " I was saying.

" But I don't want to talk to you. Get lost, Dr Jindal. " Shruti glared at me.

I caught her hand and pulled her with me.

" What is going on? " Vidhi asked.

" Nothing... tell him, I don't want to talk to him. " Shruti said.

" No, tell your friend that I need to talk to her. " I said.

" No, I need to talk to her, she is not going anywhere... Go and solve your problem on your own. " Shubh said in an angry mode. He was glaring at me.

I would have punched that rude man but ignored him and pulled Shruti with me.

I picked up colour from the gulal platter and applied it to her face. She just slapped me back and told me to stay away from her.

I caught her in my arms and decided to let her go only after she hears my side of the truth.

I was about to say something when I saw Noopur running towards me. She looked very scared and tense. I stopped her and she caught my hand.

" Sid, come fast, Maurvi... " Noopur almost choked.

" Maurvi ?? What happened to Maurvi?? Tell me." I was worried as hell for her. Shruti glared at both of us and left.

Oh, No !! I had to talk to her. But that would have to wait.

" Someone tried to... Misbehave with her. "

" What ?? What the hell?? I will kill the bast*** . Where is she?? "

" Near the washroom... Kshitij is beating that man. I was going to call Gautam bhaiya, Maurvi is not reacting at all. "

" Oh, God !!! Let's go, I will call him. You be with her. "

I was running towards the washrooms and called Bhai on speed dialling.

" Hello... What have you done now Sid? I swear ...." Bhai picked up the call and said.

" Bhai, come near washrooms. Fast, it is urgent... "

I didn't want bhai to panic so I didn't say anything about Maurvi.

I reached there and saw that Kshitij was beating someone. I could not control my anger, so started to punch him too.

" How dare you ?? I will rip your hand off your body. " I said to the man and punched him more.

We both were beating the man when bhai came.

" How dare you touch her?? " Kshitij punched him. Both of us were absolutely furious. Bhai got tensed as he might have guessed something. He looked towards the sisters both were crying.

He was raging like a bull by now.

Vikram caught the man we were beating and was shocked to see their colleague Aakash. " What was going on?" Vikram bhai asked.

" He was misbehaving with Maurvi... " Kshitij said and Bhai got so furious instantly.

He caught Aakash and punched him very hard with his power-packed punch. Aakash fell on the ground with his one punch only.

He tried to stir but then got unconscious. Bhai bent to pick Aakash to beat him more but Vikram caught bhai tightly. Bhai was pushing Vikram Bhai as he was going mad with rage.

I had to distract him...

" Bhai, see if she is alright... take care of her. " I said and he looked around and saw both the sisters.

He ran towards her. Noopur was trying to talk to her but she was not speaking. Bhai held her by her arm and she winced slightly.

" Maurvi, Maurvi? Are you alright? " Tears were flowing from her eyes.

" Are you alright Maurvi? " He wiped her tears and placed his hand under her chin to make her look at him. She didn't look at him but nodded a bit.

" She hasn't spoken a word since then," Noopur said. She was also almost in tears.

" Maurvi please look at me. Are you hurt? " She shook her head lightly.

Bhai took her in his arms. She hid her face in his chest and started crying bitterly. She was holding his kurta in her tightly clenched fists. He held her tightly and patted the back of her head to calm her.

" I... w-want t-to ... g-go h-home." She said while trying to control her sobs.

" Yes, I will take you home. Have some water first. " Bhai said but she shook her head.

" Gautam, you take her home and I will take care of this Aakash. As it is he is unconscious right now. Sid and kshitij please go with him and keep him calm. " Vikram bhai said.

He bent to pick her up as she looked shocked but she flinched a bit so bhai let it be.

We all drove home. Noopur opened the door. She had not spoken a single word since then. She went to her room and wanted to shut the door but bhai walked in.

" Gautam, Noopur please, I want some time alone. "

" I will not leave you alone now. Please talk to me. Or if you want you can talk to Noopur. "

" Please, I don't want to talk to anyone... Noopur go, please. " Noopur left but bhai couldn't.

After about 5 minutes, he came to the living room and said " Tell me whatever you know. "

Noopur told everything she knew and bhai was turning into a raging bull again.
