Siddharth's POV

" Kshitij, Aakash might press some charges against both of you. We have to take care of that. " Bhai said.

" I will take care of that. Don't worry. One of my colleagues is posted here in this area. So rest assured, I will take care of it. " Kshitij replied.

" Are you sure?? " Bhai asked.

" Hmm," he said and Bhai thanked him for helping Maurvi.

" Sid are you alright? I got scared when you called me and I heard that there was a fight. I wanted to beat that man who was fighting with you but then I saw you beating someone.". Bhai came and placed his hand on my arm.

" I am fine Bhai, how is she? Did she tell you what he said? "

" She is better now but she starts crying when I ask her. So I let it be for the time being. "

" I think she might tell Noopur. " Kshitij said and I nodded.

Bhai was very upset and didn't even sleep at night.

I was so shaken up to see Maurvi and Bhai. I wanted to distract myself so I called up Vidhi and asked her to help me solve my issue with Shruti. She asked me exactly what had happened and I told her everything.

She said that there seemed to be just a misunderstanding, so she would help me.

I asked for her contact number and Vidhi said she would think about it. But she sounded very sad somehow. I asked her but she said there was nothing like it.

She asked me about Maurvi and I told her that she was better now.

It was morning and I was in the kitchen making coffee for myself when Bhai walked in with a plate in his hand.

" Hey Sid, here is your breakfast. Have it. " He gave it to me. It seemed our sweet Maurvi had cooked for us. I hope she was feeling better.

" Did you have it? " I asked Bhai.

" Yes, I went there to check on her and she had already prepared breakfast for all of us. So I had it. "

" It is ok ... How is she now? "

" Hmm, she is fine... "

" Don't worry... She will be fine. " I said, he just nodded.

I knew he was hurting, I wanted to take his pain away but I couldn't do anything.

Just then bhai's phone started ringing, It was dad.

" Hello, dad? How are you? " He said putting the phone in speaker mode.

" We are fine son... We are coming day after tomorrow. We missed you and now that Sid is also there we can't let this opportunity go. "

" Wow !! We missed you too. Please come soon ... We are waiting. "

I was so happy that our parents were coming. They were the best parents in the world.

I called Vidhi again as I wanted Shruti's number. Vidhi gave it to me. I decided to call her later as both Bhai and I had to go to Maurvi's place.

Maurvi and Noopur had invited Kshitij and us for dinner.

We rang the doorbell, Noopur came to open the door.

" Good evening Jiju. " We heard her saying and Bhai blushed.

Oh, God !! I have to tease him for that.

We went in and I gave a warm hug to Maurvi. She jerked a bit. Maybe she was still uncomfortable. " How are you beautiful? Missed me? " I asked with a smile.

" I am good. Yes, I did, why didn't you come in the morning? "

" It's ok, I have come now... " I said. She smiled at Bhai and blushed.

They had also invited their cousin and Maurvi's friend. The evening started with confusion and tension as Maurvi's cousin was being overprotective, but the day ended very well. We all enjoyed the food and their cousin proposed to Maurvi's friend, Prachi. She was blushing a lot. Everyone was teasing them.

" It seems that everyone has a girlfriend now... I am the only one who does not have one... " I said with a pout. Bhai started laughing. He thought that I was kidding.

" Why don't you be serious and find a nice girl for yourself? " Maurvi asked me.

" Well it seems, I am not good enough for nice girls. They don't take me seriously. For instance look at you, I have been flirting with you for so long but you never took me seriously. My brother is very lucky." I said with a wink and smile.

I tried to make it like a light flirting but it seemed she read between the lines.

She came near me and said, " Ok, but then you must try harder. You must be serious about someone first."

" I tried once but it didn't work... Let it be. " I said with a faint smile.

" Why do I have a feeling that there is someone somewhere you really like?"

" It doesn't matter... "

" I think it does..."

" Let it be Maurvi. Don't try to get things out of me. Are you a mind reader? "

" Sometimes yes, but I could never read your brother's mind. I never got to know that he liked me though, in the case of others, I mostly can guess. " She said and I started laughing.

" Oh! But I don't want to talk about it right now, some other time maybe. " I said with a smile and she nodded.

It was late, I came back home and went to sleep.

It was morning and as I managed to get Shruti's new number from Vidhi. I called her up.

She picked up the call.

" Hello?? "

" Hi, Shruti !! "

" Dr Jindal ?? "

" Please... It hurts when you talk like that. "

" It hurts me whenever I talk to you. Where did you get my number from? "

" It is not important. I need to talk to you Shruti."

"I don't want to talk to you. Bye !!! Don't call me again or I would have to block you again. "

" Shruti, please at least listen to me..."

" You are wasting time sir, there is nothing to talk about. I saw and heard everything with my own eyes and ears. "

" It was not the way you think it was."

" I saw him giving you money for winning the bet. He even congratulated you. "

" You are my younger brother ... It does matter to me. Who is Shruti? And why were you pleading with her? What happened? " He said in a very loud voice. Maurvi came running.

" You were literally pleading with someone and trying to make her understand something. I am your elder brother and I want to know what is the matter. I think you are in a problem and I just want to help you. But I guess You both think that I am just useless. You don't want to share anything with me... " He said, he was getting very angry now.
