C8 Chapter 8

Siddharth's POV

" Oh my God !!! Thank god!!! I went to meet her parents to talk about marriage. They are finally ready but her father wants Maurvi to get married first as she is older than Noopur. I was really after Maurvi to get married so that our line is clear. "

" Oh thank God!! I was worried for you as he has been a boxing champion. And he would have beaten you to a pulp. "

" Hey, I am a cop. Don't underestimate me. But I am glad We didn't fight. After we are going to be co-brothers very soon. " He laughed.

" Yeah... "

" I am so happy for them. Now that she has a boyfriend at least I don't have to bother about finding one for her. I want to tell Noopur that now we can also get married soon. " Kshitij said and we both smiled.

Just then we saw them coming back holding hands. Both of them were smiling.

" Come Maurvi, we were waiting for the last 30 mins to for your 5 mins to get over," Kshitij said and I smiled and she started blushing.

" I hope you explained everything to him. What took you so long? Both of you are flushing. Bhai are you ok with him being her brother-in-law now? " I said and we all saw her getting converted into a tomato.

" Shut up Sid... " Bhai said, I smiled teasingly and went home.

I took a shower and went to sleep as it was a very long day. I laid down on the bed and was thinking about Bhai and Maurvi. They were in love with each other. I was very happy for them, they were looking so cute having that banter.

Maurvi was a very sweet girl, I was glad that she was going to be a part of my loving family.

Then I thought of Shruti... I liked her. I don't know why I was thinking about her again and again. She doesn't even want to talk to me.

Shruti's POV

I was annoyed as hell but didn't know the reason for that. Which annoyed me even more. What was going on with me?? We reached Jodhpur and while everyone else was enjoying, I was very uncomfortable and irritated.

So was another person, Dr Richie Rich's (Siddharth) best friend, Dr Parth. He was throwing glares my way.

What was his problem?? He was annoyed as if his friend left the trip because of me. How irritating both the friends were??

Don't you think, he left because of you?? My soul chided.

No !! Why would he?? I didn't tell him to go...

But you were rude to him. You should listen to him at least once.

I trust my own eyes and ears than some fairytales. I am not interested in his stories.

You know you are being difficult...

Then don't argue. I don't want him around me. It is good that he left. I don't care what his reason was.

You !! Your rudeness sent him back.

No !!! Will you shut up??

Ok... I hope you realise fast. She said and then left me on my own.

Thank god !!

I went to have lunch with my friends and Dr Parth also came with his other friends. He again gave me that angry look.

I ignored him and though it bothered me, still I pretended that it didn't bother me. Our group was enjoying it a lot. Somehow Kunal seemed happier.

He was trying to be over-friendly. He had even insisted that I should sit beside him on the bus. I didn't want to, but he insisted so much that I agreed.

Even now he made sure that he sat next to me. What was going on ?? I was not interested in him either.

Kunal was trying to be extra funny since morning, it seemed as if he was very happy.

He was insisting me to try some dish but I refused. But he kept asking me to try it once he even brought it near my mouth but I refused to eat.

He was irritating me. Just then someone stumbled on something and fell on Kunal and apologized immediately.

We saw that it was another friend of Dr Rich Brat. The plate which he was carrying fell on Kunal.

He was shocked and looked at himself. He was smeared with all kind of curries and Raita. His pristine white shirt looked colourful with different food items.

That doctor apologized once again and left. But I saw him trying to hide his smile.

He exchanged a look with Dr Parth and nodded. Dr Parth glared at me again.

I glared back at him and they all smiled.

Did they do it deliberately?? But why?? What did they have against Kunal??

Kunal excused himself and left to clean himself. I went to get something from the food counter when Dr Parth came to do the same apparently.

" So enjoying the trip Dr Singh?? "

" Well, I am trying, Sir. But it seems some people don't like to see others enjoying themselves. Isn't it?? "

" Absolutely !! For the first time in my life, I agree with you. Some people enjoy after ruining others happiness."

" Wow!! You agree with me?? I am honoured. But don't you have any shame? You all did that deliberately, didn't you??"

" Of course, why should we feel bad we just gave you a taste of your own medicine. "

" What do you mean?? "

" Oh, forget it... I don't even want to talk to you. We just spoilt your happiness as you spoilt ours. All the best... "

" What did I do?? "

" I don't even want to talk to you. "

" No, tell me?? "

" Are you blind?? Can't you see, Siddharth left because of you. "

" That is a lie... He misbehaved with me... But, why am I telling you?? He is your best friend, you all are the same. "

" He tried talking to you and you call him flirt, playboy etc. What is that batchmate of yours doing?? Can't you see what is he doing? He is also flirting with you. You have hurt my best friend, he genuinely likes you a lot, but you can't even talk to him for once... I swear, I would not let you enjoy it. "

" Dr Parth !! "

" Wait and watch !! " He said and I moved away from there.

I came to the room allotted to me. Did he really leave because of me?? But what did I do?? He was the one who tried to kiss me yesterday. I panicked and slapped him to stop that.

I didn't tell him to leave... I just didn't want to talk to him as I don't trust him anymore.

We just took our seats on the bus and he got down the bus.

Why did Dr Parth say that I spoilt their happiness??

I was so fed up with all these things and wanted to forget all this. So, I decided to call my friend Vidhi who lived in Jodhpur. I called her.

" Hello, Shruti??? "

" Hi Vidhi! How are you?? "

" Well good !! But much better now that you called me. Are you in Chandigarh or Delhi??

" I am in Jodhpur ... "

" What ?? Jodhpur?? How ?? And you are telling me now?? "

" Wait! I am here with my colleagues. We all came on a trip. "

" Tell me where are you?? I am coming to pick you up. It has been so long."

I gave her the name of my hotel as I wanted to meet her too. She came within half an hour. I planned to spend the rest of the day with her only.

" Stay with me... It has been so long since we used to be together. We studied in the same boarding school till class twelfth. She had taken up medical subjects like her elder brother but did not enjoy it. And took up Hotel management as she wanted to manage her dad's business.

I was ready to go and stay with her and then she told me that she was going to Delhi in two days as Vikram bhaiya was giving a Holi party.

She persuaded me to abandon the trip, stay with her and come to Delhi with her for the Holi party. As it is I had not gone home for so long. I was missing my parents.

I had already lost interest in the trip after what happened today. So I agreed. I packed my bags, informed the coordinator of the trip and left with her.
