C12 Potential of the gems

Jason was taken aback as he did not expect Carter to de able to say no.

"Woah! You actually did get it", Principal Bohen exclaimed.

"Got what?", Carter asked.

Principal Bohen smiled and said, "Your grandfather's powers".

Bryce and hearing this, widened their eyes. It seems Carter is also supernatural.

"My grandfather's power?", Carter asked.

"Yes! Your grandfather was also a hunter. But unlike other hunters, your grandfather was exceptional. He was way stronger than ordinary people, he was faster, he would know whenever there's a supernatural around. He could also automatically know how to use a weapon only after trying it out for a couple of times", Principal Bohen.

"He had other powers too. Your father also inherited his powers but not all of it", Principal Bohen said.

"Wait, my dad is a hunter too?", shocked, Carter asked.

Principal Bohen was about to say something when got a text so he checked it.

"Okay, Zane and Mitch. It's time for you to go to your homes", Principal Bohen said.

Both Zane and Mitch got up, ready to leave.

"But before you go, Jason is going to make you forget everything that happened tonight", Principal Bohen said.

"What?", Zane said.

"Why?", Mitch asked.

"Trust me. It's for your own sake", Principal Bohen said.

Jason stood in front of Zane, his pupils enlarge a bit and started to compel him. Surprisingly, Zane didn't try to resist and calmly stood there for Jason to compel him.

"Forget everything that happened tonight. You sat through detention and you were actually bored the whole time. You're gonna go straight home and have a full 8 hours sleep after you drop Mitch off at his house", Jason compelled Zane.

After Jason was done compelling him, Zane walked out of the gym heading for his car at the parking lot since he was going to drop him off.

Seeing that Zane didn't try to resist, Mitch also didn't try to resist either. He gave in and Jason quickly compelled him to forget what happened.

Mitch quickly joined Zane and drove off.

"As for the rest of you, someone's here to pick you up", Principal Bohen said.

They went to the parking lot and saw Charles there waiting beside his favorite mini van. He really loves that mini van.

"Hurry up! let's go! We don't have all night", He wave them over. They hurriedly got in the van.

"Wilson!", Charles called Mr Bohen to the side.

Wilson was actually Mr Bohen's first name and even though he was older than Charles; with Charles being 30 years and him being only 40 years, they could talk freely to each other since they'd been best friends since they were young.

"How did it go?", Charles asked.

"Not well", Wilson said.

"What happened? Did you have to interfere?", Charles asked.

"No, I didn't have to but when Cashel turned he killed Bryce...", said Wilson.

Charles turned and looked at Bryce who was having a conversation with the others and looked back at Wilson.

"I think the gems have the ability to bring people they merge with when they die. That's how I think Bryce is still alive.And apart from that, Bryce said that he could now control lightning without needing to cast a spell", Wilson said.

Charles pondered for a while before answering. "Well, we still don't know the full potential of the gems so it should be possible that it could the they've merged with back when they die and also enhance their magic".

Wilson nodded.

In the woods where people hardly ever visit, there was a base which looked like it was abandoned but there were actually a lot of people inside. Around the base, there was a large illusion set up to cover the whole place to make it seem invisible. The illusion was set to prevent unwanted guests from trespassing. There were also people who acted as guards who were patrolling the base.

Inside the base was Beacon Hill High's new English substitute teacher who would be in place of Miss Elena Grace while she was still in the hospital. Eugene Thornton was in a room with his girlfriend, the stunning woman with blonde, curly hair, Alice Clinton.

Eugene hugged Alice from behind and started kissing her on the neck and on the cheek.

"How is it going", he asked.

Alice was currently working on an artifact which could be used to pinpoint the people who have the gems with them. They call the artifact was was making the 'locator'. She had been working on it for a while and now she was almost done.

"I'm almost done with it. It should be done by Friday", Alice said.

"This is why I chose you. You know how to get thing done", said Eugene.

Alice smiled and continued what she was doing.

The door was opened and a familiar man came in. His name was Jax and he seemed to be in his early thirties. He was also one of the two werewolves that wanted to test their strength against Eugene earlier in the woods.

"Eugene! It's the vampires! They're starting to complain again", said Jax.

"About what!", Eugene was getting sick of the vampires complaining.

"They're saying they're getting hungry and they need more blood", said Jax.

Eugene turned back to Alice and said, "I'll be right back".

Alice kissed on the lips and said, "Show them what you can do. They'll never dare to complain ever again".

Eugene nodded and left the room with Jax in tow. But before Jax followed Eugene, he looked at Alice and she nodded at him. Jax also nodded back. They clearly knew what each other meant.

Eugene and Jax arrived in a quite large room which had stairs leading to the lower floor of the base. From where they were standing, they could see a total of 40 people at the lower floor and those 40 people could also see them standing there. These 40 people were all vampires.

"Are these all of them?", Eugene asked.

"The rest are guarding the base", Jax said.

Eugene nodded.

When they saw Eugene and Jax standing there, one vampire came forward. He was a big, tall and muscular man with dark skin. His name was Mick. And by his look, he should be in his mid forties.
