C5 Land of wind

The next morning after breakfast, Charles led the boys down to the basement. "Today I'm going to start teaching you how to use your magic", Charles said. He open the basement door and it was so dark that you could hardly see anything. "Bryce I want you to switch the lights in there with your magic", Charles said. How do I do that", Bryce asked. "Use the spell I use the first time you got here, feel the magic in you, connect to it and concentrate on what you want it to do then say the spell", Charles said. Bryce closed his eyes and did everything Charles told him, he opened his eyes and said "Lumière". The lights in the basement lit up to reveal some book shelves all stacked up, so many candles all around the room along with some magic artifacts and ingredients. "What is all of this", Kevin asked. "This is where I'll be teaching you all you need to know", Charles said.

The five took positions around a table. Charles placed on the table in front of them each a candle. "The first spell I'm going to teach you is a basic fire spell",Charles said. He picked up another candle and said, "ignis", then the candle lit up. "Now you try, remember to concentrate", Charles said. They did exactly that. They looked that their candles concerntrating on them and said "ignis". They opened their eyes and the candles had been lit. They were so excited that the worked. "As expected, the gems have made your magic stronger, a wouldn't have been able to light it as simple you guy did", Charles said. He moved the candles and picked up a bowl of water. He poured small amounts of it on the table in front of each of them and told them to light the water up.

"But how", Bryce asked. "Just do what I told you", Charles said. They closed their eyes and concentrated on the water. "Ignis", when they opened their eyes, the water in front of them were on fire. "Very well, you have officially mastered your first spell", Charles said. "They felt so happy to hear that. Now for the second spell. "The second spell is a simple levitation spell", Charles said. He picked up the bowl of water and used a liquid gathering spell to gather the water and put it back in the bowl. "To cast this spell, you do the same as you did for the fire spell and also concentrate on your breathing and then say the spell, "aioroúmai eis ton aéra". Charles did this on the bowl of water and it started levitating. He placed a big stone in front of each of them and told them to do the same. They started concentrating and focused on their breathing and then said the spell. "Aioroúmai eis ton aéra", the stones started shaking and started floating in the air. They felt so happy that they stopped concentrating and the stones fell and hit table with heavy bangs.

"Okay, that's it for today", Charles said. He picked up four old looking books and gave them to Kevin, Daniel, Wesley and Jack. "They are grimoires. I presume you all know what grimoires are, and since Bryce already has a spell book, you won't be needing a grimoire", Charles said. "You must learn some spells on your own, I won't always be there to teach you. So that's it for today", Charles further explained and went upstairs. They boys followed him upstairs and then Bryce when up to Charles and asked him, "do you think that the gems have the ability to heal". Charles replied, "It may be possible, remember I told you that we haven't yet discovered the full capability of the gems. Why do you ask". "Before we got the gems, I used a dark magic spell for the first time and I broke my arm but when we woke up after the gems merged with us it was like my arm was never broken and last night I bruised my face at the party but now it's gone too", Bryce explained. "Well I do believe we just figured out a new ability of the gems", Charles said as he walked away.

Bryce's phone buzzed. He took it out and he had gotten a text from an unknown number saying to meet him at the school. "I'm going to head out for a while. I'll be back later", Bryce said as he went out to meet the person. Katherine was just leaving the grocery store, a voice comes from behind, "do you have time to talk". Katherine turns to that a look at who it was and to her surprise, it was the hot guy she saw last night when they were leaving the party. Seeing him, she felt a bit scared. "What do you want", she asked. "I just wanted to talk to you", the man said. He started walking closer to Katherine. "Don't come any closer", Katherine warned the man. He stopped and Katherine said ,"What do you want from me. Are you stalking me". "No I just want to talk", the man said. "Well I don't want to talk to you so just get away from me and never come near me ever again", Katherine said and rushed to get to her car. "Wait Katherine, come back please", the man said. He tried going after her but immediately stopped at the end the shadow of the store as if he was trying to avoid the sun. "We're gonna talk sooner or later", he shouted. Katherine quickly got in her car and lock the doors.

She tried to see if the man was coming but he was nowhere to be found so she ignored the situation and drove back home. Bryce got to the school and texted the number back, "I'm here where are you". Just then number texted back, "Chemistry class". After seeing the text, entered the school premises heading for the chemistry class. Just then he realized the stupid mistake he had made. He didn't know who was waiting for him at the chemistry class. 'Who are you', Bryce texted.

'Someone who knows your secret', the number texted back. For a moment, Bryce's heart skipped a beat. Who could this be. Was it a person he knew or was it just a random person or was it even an ordinary person. He had a hunch it was going to be someone he knew. So he decided to take the risk because if it was someone he knew then there could be a chance that they were talking about a different secret. But still he couldn't stop thinking what if they actually knew his secret. He mastered up his courage and went straight to the chemistry class.

As he got close to the chemistry class,he started walking cautiously towards the door. He got close and saw Zane and Carter inside, he felt a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. He entered and asked, "what do you want, why did you text me". Just then Mitch who was standing behind the door closed it and then locked it. The other door was also lock.

"What are you", Zane asked.

Bryce laughed nervously and said, "what are you talking about".

"I told you, you must have seen it wrong because you were drunk", Carter said.

"Just shut up, I know what I saw and I saw his eyes glow", Zane said.

Bryce was surprised to hear what Zane said he himself didn't know that happened.

"Can you hear what you're saying, you sound crazy right now", Carter shouted.

"I'm not crazy, I saw his eyes glow", Zane said.

Carter was already fed up with Zane and started walking out.

"Where're you going, get back here", Zane shouted.

"I'm going home", Carter shouted back.

"No no no no, get back back here", Zane said. Carter just ignored him and went straight to the door.

Zane got angry, eager to prove he wasn't crazy, he held Bryce by the collar and threw him into one of the desks. He then went to him and held him once more by the collar.

"Show it to them, make your eyes glow. Show them that I'm not crazy", Zane shouted.

Carter and Mitch went Zane and tried breaking them up but Zane just pushed them off him. Through anger, he lifted up his fist with the intent to punch Bryce to make him show them that his eyes really were glowing. Just then the door was unlocked and principal Bohen was standing there.

"What on Earth do you think you're doing".
