C39 Lunch Date 3

Lucas watched me for a while then gave me a toothy smile.

"It's fine though. I have a sister who is like you. She will be twenty but if you see her you will think she is twenty-five."

He said and wiped his mouth,

"I like you a lot and your level of maturity. You don't act your age"

He said more like he is proud of me. I smiled,

"Thanks so much. Your turn"

I said to him and his body language says he doesn't want to talk about himself because he kept staring at me when I told him it was his turn.

"You are not saying anything"

I added, which followed another silence from him.

"Okay, I get it. You don't want to talk about you?"

He saw my frown and laughed quietly.

"Do you expect me to talk about myself when you are not ready to say anything about yourself?"

He asked instead and I formed my mouth in 'O'. The reason he kept quiet is that I refused to talk about myself.

"Sorry"

I apologized.

"If you don't want to take about yourself, you can talk about the wine and the restaurant"

I added,

"Well, I am not you. I want you to know me"

I rolled my eyes inwardly, I hope he is not trying to make me feel bad.

"Well, I am Lucas Molly and I was born just only me but I have an adopted sister. There is nothing much about me, just that I lost my mom when I was younger. Dad saw us through. I finished high school at 16 and did my college and went abroad to do my PhD in business. After that, I opened Molly's 3 years ago and it's been doing great so far."

He ended his biography. From all, he said I was trying to estimate his age and I couldn't even do that.

"Well, I can't believe that the restaurant is 3 years old and it looks like something that has been for decades. You really put in so much work here and I just pray that your efforts will pay off in the end, definitely, it's going to pay off. You are doing well."

He smiled at me,

"Thanks so much. It was Grace and a prayer line that is coming from an Angel, it will surely pay off."

He said and uncovered the dish I presumed had the dessert. It was all a variety of fruits put together. It has been fixed into pieces. He pulled a sauce and put fruits on it and handed it to me as he did for my meal.

"Thanks, Lucas, you are so kind"

I appreciated him and he gave me a small smile,

"You are welcome"

He said and set his sauce which contained some fruits. He picked an apple and brought it to my mouth. I was shy to open my mouth but when I remembered that there is nothing to be shy of, I opened up.

He continued feeding me his fruit without even taking a bite and the silly me could not ask him what is keeping him from taking a bite of his fruit. I was enjoying the whole feeding stuff but then I remember I should do the same for him too.

I picked my fork and picked a pineapple and asked him to open it up and he gladly did.

I ate his last piece and he ate mine then wiped my mouth for me. I was filled up that there will not be any space for anything again to go into my tummy.

"So like I said before I would want you to test the wine and tell me your opinion."

"Alright bring it and let's see what you've got"

He smiled and opened the first wine and poured a little for me into the glass and gave it to me.

I sipped the wine and it went down to my taste glands to access the taste. It has this zapped taste and the alcohol content is not noticeable.

"You want my humble opinion right?"

I asked him. I don't want to lie to him. I have little knowledge of wines but I can tell if they are good wines.

"This is a very good wine but I'm not going to say anything until I taste the remaining two so can you kindly pour the second one for me let me check something"

He nodded and opened the second wine.

I took a sip and waited for a while. The taste was actually better than the first. The alcohol content was stronger. He poured the third and that one has this sour taste, a bit good so if I am to recommend based on what I feel, I will recommend the last two.

"Here goes my opinion, the first is great and I bet you, someone will want to have that kind of wine but then it has a zapped taste which makes it difficult for you to identify what the wine tastes like. Then the second, the alcohol content is okay and it has a great taste, the flavour is top-notch. The 3rd, I would say, is not the best. It has this sour taste which is kind of great. I tell you, a lot of people will also want to have a taste of it but it's not close to the second one"

I tabled my findings to him.

"So what do you think"

He asked,

"The second and third are great and you might have to rebrand the first one and it will be good to go"

I replied and he smiled.

"Thank you so much, Jenny, you are indeed helpful. We will push the second and the third into the market and then rebrand the first one. I hope it comes out better"

"Of course, it will come out better. As a businessman you are, you need to be optimistic. "

"Of Course, business is like betting. You are not sure if you will win or not so be prepared to have lost as well as gain"

I nodded at him. I might learn one or two things from this guy. He is very intelligent. At this stage of his life, he has achieved so much.
