C54 Friendship Fight
Jenny's point of view…..
The breakfast took us about fifteen minutes or so.
I left after I told them that I would visit again because I was going out with my sister so I needed to leave.
Thomas couldn't let me go without having my digital. I just have a debt to settle. I have learned my lessons, next time I would not go around betting again.
I was so surprised to see Zain at the door looking around. I think he was looking for me and my heart melted at the thought but gosh, I can't show that so I walked past him like he is Invisible. I have probably been doing more Of it today.
I walked into my room and set the tools on the table and folded Zain's sketch. I will do more work on it and maybe post it on Instagram.
My mind went back to Zain and I realized that he was dressed up, which means we will be leaving soon.
I rushed to my closet in search of something to wear. I was on it when my phone beeped indicating a message.
It could only be one out of two people, Tasha or Lucas.
I stopped searching for what to wear and checked my phone, it was Lucas.
"Hello, good morning sweetheart. I'm sorry, I didn't reach out to you this morning. I have a meeting and I'll be attending soon. I hope to talk to you later, have a nice morning. Someone cares"
I smiled and typed a reply back.
"Morning too, Lucas. It's fine, I understand. Have a nice morning too. Looking forward to speaking with you"
I sent the message and I instantly felt guilty. This is so unlike me not to reach out to Tasha.
Even since she opened up her feelings to me. I have been treating her like she has leprosy.
I dialed her number but she did not pick up, I did again yet no response. I sighed and typed in a message to her.
"Good morning best friend, how are you this morning? I was calling you and you're not answering. I hope you're well. Stay safe"
I pocketed my phone and pulled out a jean skirt with its shirt and got my sneakers. I dropped the dress on the bed and went into the bathroom to get my camisole.
Writer's point of view….
Zain sat down on the couch tapping his feet. He was reckless and angry. He thought he could control himself from getting angry from how Jenny made him look Invisible but he felt he was fooling himself. She has done this twice or so.
He stood up and stormed out of the living room heading to her room. He vowed to warn her seriously because if she doesn't stop this attitude of hers, he will make her stop. This is getting up to his neck and he can't condo it anymore.
"Who does she think she is?"
He fumed in his mind as he got to her door.
As usual, he walked into her room without knocking. She was not in the room. He saw a dress on her bed and walked close. He saw the bathroom door slightly opened and figured out she was in the bathroom.
Something caught his attention on her dressing table and he went over to it. He opened the toolbox and found an artist's tools inside and was surprised. He never knew she paints.
She has gotten better over the past two years plus.
One day he would love to see what she can do. His anger has simmered down. He was impressed.
Zain saw the folded paper and picked it up, as he made to open it Jenny came out of the bathroom and rushed towards him. She snatched the paper and in the process, it got torn.
Zain was surprised to see a sketch picture of himself.
He stared at her,
"You sketched that?"
Jenny snatched the remaining piece from him and eyed him.
"It's none of your business, Zain. In as much as this is your house, you can't just come into my room anytime you like. What if I was naked."
"You can't sketch a photo of me and tell me that it's not my business"
Zain said and walked towards her. Jenny smiled and stood her ground which surprised Zain. He expected her to move back like she always does.
"Zain, with all due respect please leave my room"
Jenny told him in all seriousness but that did not stop him from walking to her. He snatched the torn paper from her.
"I was going to do anything. I just want to have a look at what you did. What did you expect, that I was coming to kiss you or make you wet as I did before?"
Jenny gritted her teeth and gave him the deadliest look she could master.
"Please leave my room"
"Okay and if you ever want something else, you just ask"
Zain said and left with the sketched photo.
Jenny sighed and sat on the bed. That was a close call.
******
Tasha stared at the message from Jenny and was tempted to send it back to her but refrained. She at some point smiled.
Tasha thinks she might be right after all, because she thought that not reaching out to Jenny like she always does made Jenny call, probably because she missed her.
She was in the kitchen with her mom. They were done with breakfast and were clearing the kitchen.
It was Saturday morning and she and the mom tidied the house.
Her mom watched Tasha as she continued staring at her phone.
"It's unlike you not to pick up your calls. Who is calling?"
"Jenny, mom"
The mom turned and faced her.
"Why are you not picking up Jenny's call? Are you both fighting?
"No mum, at some point in life, you figure out that you don't need certain people. It is what it is"
Tasha's mom frowned and thought that she needed to know what was going on with the two best friends to know why her daughter made such a strong statement. Friends can't stop being friends without a reason and for that reason, she must find out.
